Well, hey, it's something! I'm proud of you!

Thanks! I don't know about "extra" money...but it will help a lot.

My boys are getting to the electronic toy age. Smaller gifts that cost more.
I'm pretty careful on budgeting, but this year I have to be extra crafty.

Your co-worker would so make a great pirate! Or biker. I can imagine how entertaining he must've been! So in touch with his feminine side...LOL!

Oh, yeah!!!

Whew, my late night day care kiddos just got picked up at 9:30. The mom was soooo appreciative. The little 4 year old girl asked if she can stay!!!! Which is the ultimate compliment in my book.

I usually don't go to bed until 10:30 or 11. LOOOOng days, thank goodness they're well behaved. Unlike my kids :dance3:

It's like taking your bra off after a long day...an audible sigh of relief!!!;)
Just wait til Norah is a teenager. LOTS of expenses  and they're pretty much continuous after that.

My coworker IS a (mountain) biker . He is also a skier and kiteboarder, among other sports. His wife is also very athletic. He has a tattoo of a kokopelli riding a bicycle on his ankle . . . I used to sit across from him, but I moved to a different office this summer (long story only fit for chat and not due to anything he did).

You are a couple hours behind many of us. I usually go to bed around 12 :rolleyes1

Amen on the bra thing!!!

OK, I think I just saw the ultimate in censorship. On David Letterman, they had dog tricks on, and one of them was a dog that barked at being shown the middle finger. They blurred out the Middle finger hand!!!!!! Are we a nation of woosses or something?

GOOG MORNING! :sunny:

TGIF!!! :cool1:

Today I am at the reception desk at work all day...alone. The empty nester ladies in the office are gone on their annual Pigeon Forge outlet shopping weekend. Which is pretty much everybody who works on Friday. I hope all the homeless people are well and nobody comes in puking today. :scared:

It's like taking your bra off after a long day...an audible sigh of relief!!!;)
Now that is the quote of the week! TAG FAIRY!!!

Twinkie....Cans of fruit and bottled water? :rotfl2: They have apparently always been adults and were never trick or treated??

Moo
.....I love your friend in the dress! There's a guy who's secure in his masculinity!!

NAB....Have fun with the kids today. Mine are off next Tuesday for election day.

Misty
....What's your new toy???

HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY, ONE AND ALL!
:thumbsup2

Twinkie....Cans of fruit and bottled water? :rotfl2: They have apparently always been adults and were never trick or treated??

Yes!:rotfl: But the girls where sooo excited! They ate the fruit for lunch yesterday. I guess after getting a million candy bars it had novelty?:confused3 Also- since they have no kids we haven't really met them- just wave hi, say hey etc. Lil Twinkerbell ending up having quite the chat with the husband I hear (I was home passing out candy) and now is in the know about them.

The bottled water is being saved for a special occassion. We are way to cheap to buy bottled water. I just fill up sippy cups & sport bottles with tap water when we need to take water anywhere so having your own bottle that belongs to you AND you don't have to share is a big deal.

Misty- I bet it is a fancy digital camera. Or a cricut. Don't keep us in suspense!
Utah- Yay on the new kidlets. How great for you (extra $) and for the mama... finding daycare for such odd hours is a real blessing to her! any daycare let alone goog quality UtahMama care!
Lex- Good morning lady! Hope your day goes smoothly.
MP- I was busy yesterday catching up since I am way behind on daily life what with spending a day sewing and another day at kindergarten. I need to do the same today.
Moo- Well I understand the bike thing but I have always wondered about people who get Kokopelli tattoos. I get that it is kind of a cute/happy little stick figure but don't they know who he is?????? When I was out west, I was amazed at how Kokopelli had suchs great marketing. He is everywhere! Even wierder is the Kokopelli pottery to be found in Cherokee, NC. I am sure the Cherokee never heard of him back in the day;)

I think the baby dropped last night. I didn't have heartburn for the first time in months.... and I am feeling a lot of "pressure". But, I may have just pinched a nerve cause it hurts pretty bad! That is why I am up...

Have a great day every one!

Happy Friday.

We are driving Julia to a rodeo about 5 hours away this afternoon/evening. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be too cold tomorrow. Not that I would complain about such a thing.:rolleyes1

Moo:
Looks like you have some fun lovin' co-workers. Those are the best kind to have.

Twink:
Sorry about your pain. It will be over soonishly!

I need to skeedaddle for a bit. I wanted to write more, but I gotta run.

Have a good one!

Happy Friday, everyone! Have some bananas:

Twink, sorry about the baby pressure. I can definitely relate...I carried my kids really low the whole time, so I actually wore an elasticized support belt under my belly to keep it from dragging on the ground. (Okay, a slight exaggeration...) Hang in there, we're just days away from Grasshopper's Grand Entrance!

BBN, goog luck to Jules at the rodeo! Bring lots of sweatshirts and pray for mild weather!

Melinda, crossing my fingers that all the people you come in contact with are healthy and well today.

Hi to the rest of the MOOvers!

Gotta run to the school...I got picked to chart the reading activity for Boris' classroom. The whole school is charting everything they read from now until the end of April..trying to total 24,000 hours of reading. If they make the goal, the PAC will spring for a big whoopdedoo enrichment activity (last year's activity was a professional magic show and a condensed version of Blue Man Group at the school.)

Back in a bit...........

Morning all,

I got to sleep in this morning :woohoo:

Frost on the ground here this. That means it may just be a tad cold out.

But I must head out or the little girl that Hannah is going to a party tonight will not get a present. Plus we have other things on our list like a one cup measuring cup because I broke my months ago and have been using a two cup.

Lexi-- I hope your days go more smoothly then the last time.

Twinkie-- Yes Grasshopper is just reminding you he is ready to come on out.

We didn't get any fruit in our bags but we did get candy canes....

Hope everyone has a great Friday....the weekend is so close.

TGoshIF!!!!

For today, I'm painting the exterior of our wooden doll house white. It really needs shingles, but that's for another day. My idea of big time fun...

Lalijack- I love reading incentives! Sounds like fun! I think I'd really have liked to see the pretend Blue Man's Group...well worth the readin!

Lexmelindy- There's a homeless person at the back door riiiiight now! You are so lucky to be able to work and DIS at the same time!!! Kids keep getting in the way of DISing for me, which I tell them I'm "working" when I'm sitting here (they believe me!)

Twinkie- You're in the Teens! I can't believe how fast this has gone (for me!). I can't wait to be an aunt again to my imaginary Twinkie kids

Moo and Marita- thanks for noticing my bra comment! I hesitated but thought it was too funny to resist. It's soooo true...I always say, "awwwww"!

utah - taking the bra off is the first thing I do when I get home.

can you believe that the jerk ex roommate forbid me to go braless? IN MY OWN HOUSE?
argh.
why did I let him control me for 7 years?

lynette - how do they clock hours? Why not clock books? What if someone is a fast reader? or a super slow one?

lex - I hope the homeless people are relatively drama free today.

we had drama here today - one of the billers across the hall had an asthma attack and had to be taken away in an ambulance!
I'm not sure which one it was because they come and go so fast.

I hope Misty's present is a cricut!!!!
then she can tell me if it's really worth it. cuz the stuff they show is really cute, but it looks hard. and of course to get the disney stuff you have to spend one billion dollars.

twinkie - I was soooo having sympathy grasshopper pains last night. I woke up at 2 am and every thirty minutes after with back pains.
it was not fun.

Drama free day so far.

TIP: If you want the phone to ring, take a HUGE bite of your bagel.

Hi everyone...
Down in the dumps today......but will get out of it I am sure......just ate a candy bar......and chips too......
I dropped a paper weight that was my mamas on the top of my foot last night......it was solid brass......it hurt like the dickens but today I can walk again.....in the middle of the night which I spent on the couch......I for sure thought i was going to go to the ER this morning but the boo boo doesnt hurt as much today......still limping but not as bad......I am going to put a roast in the oven later and some baked taters......my favorite meal with spinach for me and something else for HIM......he does not like my greens......but the greens are full of vitamin k and his blood work has been pretty good lately......so we will keep on doing what I fix for him and HE HAD BETTER LIKE IT......haha....oh I forgot to say.......that I was a tad testy today.......
Have a good november 2nd day everyone.....

Pumba - I'm sorry you're down in the dumps! I was thinking about you and told my friend at work who is diabetic about you. We went to a chinese buffet for lunch and it made me think of you! :thumbsup2 So I told her about how we sat on a bench beside each other for 15 minutes and didn't know who the other was!

lex - the homeless people in Nashville put out a press release this week. sounds really odd to me, but whatever.
anyway, the press release was complaining about the homeless shelter.

Oh NO! Did ya CUSS when you dropped the brass paperweight on your foot!

Dropping something like a bowling ball or Acme anvil on your foot or smashing your hand in a car door are two examples of when it's OK to let em rip!

Perhaps being dilated to a 9, non-medicated, and having a DH telling you to "breathe" while he hyperventilates taco breath in your face, hypothetically speaking of course  ((I have never been dilated to anything so this wasn't a personal example...except for maybe the taco breath of ex-DH#1 during the labor of DS18 :lmao: )) "Misty, water-colored mem-ries."...sniff!

(that just made me LOL to MYSELF!!!! :rotfl: )

Pumba- Your DH can make a samitch if he doesn't like it, LOL!

I just threw up in my mouth a little. Thanks. :scared1:

My throat is sore and I've been extra tired today. I hope my body fights it quick. I haven't told Chad yet. He is "sick" too. So it would fall on mute ears anyway.

He's been much better today than last night. We're still planning on Bible Study tonight and the beach tomorrow. Here's to hoping Twinkie didn't give me her ailment.

Hey moops,
I''m in Loo uh vuhl getting ready for a wedding. No not mine. Get real. Spent most of the morning finishing an update for the trippie. Now old friends are beginning to show up, but wanted to  at everyone. PJ, my other friend named PJ is here. She's from Boone County, so y'all are neighbors. Please don't meet her; she knows all about me.:scared1:
Pumba, take it easy on that foot. Them things can hurt a while.
Friend of mine on a WKU sports site has this tag line, UMA:
Do people that say dang and darn go to heck?

You are extree funny today, Wendy!

DS and I just walked down to get our regular Friday night movie and game.

Tonight's movie: Spiderman 3.....right after a rousing game of Thrillville/Off the Rails.

Had to pay a $10 late fee for a new release that DH forgot to take back all week long.

The manager told me that tonight's movies brought us up to 900 rentals from their store. I asked if there was a prize, discount, free rental? Apparently not. :confused3

Have a goog night, ever-body!

I am officially flagging myself for improperly using "mute" in a sentence. I was just brushing my teeth and it came to me. How can ears be mute? They don't talk. :confused3
