Good Morning!
Will I finish this post before Lexi shows up with her biscuits and gravy?
NAB-

so sorry about Hannah. I hope she feels better and that no one else in the family gets it.
Pumba- I totally agree about the computer thing. For example, when a small ninja child "plays" on my computer and rearranges the tool bar at the top it drives me batty. Heaven forbid someone mooves my cheese.
Utah- I would totally recognize two Pokemon trainers if I saw them. I bet a lot of other peeps would too. You are goog mama to make costumes for your babies. I am feeling some late coming Hallowangst. More on that later.
PJ & BBN- Glad you had a nice weekend. It sounded loverly. Loopy is as loopy does.
MP- How are you feeling?
Marita- I agree that your lunch plans sound like the exact defination of team building. Enjoy your half off overpriced lunch. Have a magical day.
Moo- Sounds like the pups are the perfect addition to the extended Moo family. So glad you got them!
DU- !iH ?pucrettub pu stahW
DTD- Are you still alive? working at odd hours?
Poly- I know you are out there winning at Trivia. Today was rotten for me. I don't know anything about "celebrities" other that UtahMama and DISUNC.
Lexi- How are you? do you cook for your church every Sunday?
Tammy- Hope you feel much better today.
Cel- Hmm. I gots nothing. So hi!
Well
BBN- what exciting things do you have planned
this week? Mr. Trollop, um, er, Twinkie just left to go "out of town". While the cat is a way, the mice will play. Meaning I may go on a posting frenzy. Or not. Stay tuned. Or not.
So last night I went to the large shopping establishment to buy a poster board because I needed to make a Star of the Week poster. Yes, my lil twinkerbell is Star of the Week. A whole week of being a star. This means you get to bring in a poster about yourself, your favorite book to read during story time and you get to be second in line & door holder ALL WEEK LONG. Happy Helper is of course the line leader and snack passer outer. I love kindergarteners. They are just so excited about everything. So I spent my Sunday night making a poster which reminds me I am not crafty at all. However I did a great job in the eyes of the people who really matter. I printed out all the relevant details (I am 5 years old. My favorite book to read is Dick and Jane) on the computer with google-stolen images and printed it on
PINK paper. I am a genius!
All of this to skim to say- I had to go the large shopping establishment last night where I experienced Hallowangst. I haven't done anything for costumes for this year. My girls have an extensive dress up wardrobe so something could be found. Ninjaboy owns both a Captain Hook and a generic pirate costume that should fit. The teenager is too cool to dress up anyways. I even have two karate outfits bought dirt cheap at one point that I just gave to the girls this weekend because I found them while cleaning the basement storage in search of baby stuff. So new to them (and new in the package) costumes. They are thrilled.
But I know I have done nothing.
And don't I want my little princesses to be princesses or cheerleaders or fairies or somesuch frilly nonsense while they are still little enough to want to do such a thing?
So I peruse the Halloween aisle. WHICH ISN'T THERE.

They have already taken down Halloween and shoved it in a corner and have a 4 aisles of Christmas trees and stockings and wrapping paper and

Hello. What about Thanksgiving? What about the fact that it is October? What about all the people who need to buy costumes and paper goods with purple spiders?????
Oh wait. That is only me apparently. And one other mom who was shopping late at night with 3 whiney kids trying to explain AGAIN that if they bought the psycho killer pirate ninja Freddy Kruegar costume for Junior (age 9) he wouldn't be able to wear it to school. Duh.
So the costumes were very picked over. Plenty of size 2 witches and size 4 Buzz Lightyears. A few bizarre offerings like tavern wench (size adult) and Barbie as a vet

confused3 ). Only 30% off making it still too expensive for my low rent tastes. I don't mind paying big bucks for qualityish (ie
Disney Store glittery official princess costumes and by big bucks I mean 50% off) stuff but 15$ for what amounts to less that 38 cents worth of acetate????
SO I am having strange thoughts like I should go to the Other Large Shopping Establishment on the other side of town and buy fabric. And whip up two costumes
today.
Note: I don't know how to sew.
Maybe this mood will pass and I will spend the day as per ususal (laundry, ironing, taking kids places, small posting frenzy.)
I should go back to bed now. I am obviously beyond loopy.
