just finished supper.......let the dishes wait to be loaded into the dishwasher...if I let megara lick them they would be in perfect shape to go back in the cupboard......hahaha
I used some seasoning on the chicken breasts....Montreal chicken.....was delicious...baked potato....I had my allowed small one ....then a half cup of green peas......BUT......then I went and ate a small piece of chocolate cream pie....even if it was sugar free and fat free.......it is still with carbs...

Walmart was full of peeps today....hubby had to get some men stuff......like windshield washer.......I cant believe we ran out....he usually buys that in bulk.....we got a gallon of milk that was 40 cents cheaper then the store.....and soda for two liters went up to 1.25 a bottle......can you believe that....outrageous.....I had to get some alcohol swabs for my little fingers......it is better then wiping them on the tissues all the time........

SOOOOOO cold as it is.......I am staying in tonight......we were going to go to LL Bean and Reebock stores but to cold to park a half a mile away from the blds and expect to be comfy when we go in.......Beans has the best hunting equipment......I love their orange stuff and I got my boots there too for hunting......I think they may weigh more then I do.....heavy to walk in.....BUT they keep my feet warm when I am sitting waiting for the prey to come and find me.......I use heat packs too.......something to keep ME warm.....

So DS stopped in today, with a "I voted" sticker. I asked, who did you vote for? He REFUSED to tell me :confused3 All I could get out of him is that he is registered Democrat. Why is that such a big deal he cant tell his mother??????

KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!

DD spent the day here today again for my day off (whoohoo) and is now gone to have a steak cooked for her by her BF.With baked potato I think.

She asked me today if I am claiming her again for tax decuction, and was I planning on doing that till she is 45???????:rotfl2:

I said Heck, yes i am claiming you, but I think your time runs out sooishly (along with the insuracance coverage at work), so you better get all your heathcare issues attended to.

Cel...I'm a little confused about that cake. Lauren and Ryan? What does that have to do with Elisabeth. Or me, for that matter. I guess just color me confused.

Utah...I already resized the picture in photobucket so I can't make it bigger. Sorry.

WT...You don't carry your cell phone out on stage. Duh. That'll get you termed on the spot. I've seen it happen. So, next time, at least make your story more believable.

bbn...I don't think you would have any leftover cake at this point. Have you ever met you? And I'm a little confused as to why you said I'm the perfect house guest. What happened to our relationship of snark? Again, have you ever met you?

Oh, I almost forgot. ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BIGL!!!!!!
In pink. But not quite camo.

And because I know you like a little Josh....

You don't even have to share him.

1-4-3!!!!

Your voting seems to go on forever there.

UMA-- you deserve a break. Let them bring you everything you need. Feel better soon.

Donald -- glad it was an easy fix. I don't know what I would do with no car.

It was really cold this morning. I walked the kids in and the secretary told me they had to go outside ,the computer says it is only -18 they can come in if it is -20 . :scared1: Well the news shows and my outside thermometer said -22 let me in . Then the Vice principal came out and told them to let the kids come in :yay:

They had indoor recess all day until the end of the day when the fire alarm went off. When I went to pick them up all the kids are outside with no coats and the fire trucks are there....:scared1:Don't know how long they were outside like that. But the kids were let back in to get there stuff to go home because the buses were there to take them. I think they need more fire drills because kids were everywhere. I couldn't even find Nicholas.

Thanks Cel, Twink and Pumba! I am really enjoying a day of total downtime. I am still here on the couch (as God intended...right, Marita?)
I contemplated folding the laundry that has been in the dryer since Friday, but just couldn't summon the energy. So I made another latte and went straight back to the couch!

Boris and Natasha are playing upstairs, and DH and I are watching some previously DVR'd shows.

Whew! This bum-laying is hard work. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Glad you're chillaxing on your birthday, Lynette!

I am also procrastinating on the laundry. But I did make a pot of chili tonight. I have to add macaroni to DH's to turn it into goulash though.

I made it to both of my appointments and ran a bunch of errands.

:rotfl2: <---- This is me after reading today's As the DIS Turns . . .

WENDY! Feel better soon, sweetie!!! Hey, I started a Scrabble game with you in it. And Lynette and Mony. Go check it out when you're feeling up to it. Because it's your turn!!!

L, I think we only have about one play left before you whoop me again!!!!!!!!

:lmao: You're welcome.

Where is it? I know I asked before, but I didn't see your answer. Dangit.
Thanks for the well wishes, moo!

Log into Facebook and add the Scrabulous application that I sent you. Then just scroll down to Scrabulous and it will have a link to access your current games.

Easy peasy!

DD is still sick - she refuses to take medicine, dh bribed her with Edy's Ice cream and beneydryl stips!!

*knock on wood that it helps her!! She went thru a box of kleenex!!

gotta fix dinner... make dinner... Beef Bourgoune - beef wine!!

We're watching Season 1 of Gilmore Girls!!

I feel sad... its probably ds fault, no money so he's taking ours!!

Sandy, what is your DS taking? Your Gilmore Girls DVDs??! My DD is always loaning hers out.

Sorry your DD is still sick.

Pumba, your comment about Megara licking the dishes clean reminds me of a story my grandparents used to tell. They had a friend who would always show up at mealtime and ate with them often. Then one day my Grandpa decided to play a little joke on their friend. After he finished eating, Grandpa set his plate on the floor and let the dog lick it clean and he made a comment on what a good job the dog did cleaning the dishes. Then my Grandma picked it up and put it into the cupboard!!! :scared1: Their friend stopped showing up for meals all the time after that. She and Grandpa always had a good laugh when they told that story! :lmao:

Now, my Grandma always kept her house neat and clean so that made the story all the funnier to us kids. I'm sure she probably rewashed the whole stack of plates after that

We used to let our dogs "clean" the dishes prior to the dishes, but after DD decided that she didn't like having our dogs salivating while we were eating, she made it a hard and fast rule not to do that with Cash. He doesn't get any people food either. So we decided we would go that route with the puppies and it's working pretty well. They don't hang out expecting handouts while we're eating. The do come running when it sounds like their Puperoni bag is being opened, LOL!

Where is it? I know I asked before, but I didn't see your answer. Dangit.
Thanks for the well wishes, moo!

I found it and played a word. Have NO idea if it was my turn or not. Heh.
I toat-ally stink at Face Booking...but I stumbled in.

SUCKY word!

Sandy, I love any kind of beef dishes. Sadly, nobody else here shares this feeling, I might just make a whole pot of beef stew for myself one day (if I can get off the couch to go shopping)

Good thoughts to all the sick folks

DS is short of money too, since he doesnt want to take on a new full-time job before joining the AF (he doesnt want to mislead employers into thinking e will be there a long time) I told him I need maid services. He did that for a while, I even paid him $15 an hour. I gave him a long list of things to do, so hopefully he will come and do something tomorrow.
Either way, I am going for free lunch tomorrow, woohoo!

French onion soup and prime rib philly cheese steak sammie! Take half of that home for dinner.

I think Blinkie the second ferret (of the 2 my DS Donated to my DD, thus to my household) may have expired tonight. DD let him run around in her room, and he hasnt resufaced yet. Very uncharactarically. He usually digs at the door not long after........ I even went to call him a few times, nothing..........
I also told DS that he is NOT going to dump George, the toirtois that lives 80 years on us when he leaves for the AF. George will have a lovely golden age in the woods of Narcoosssee

:yay: Yay, Wendy!!!!!!!! Yes, it was your turn or it wouldn't have let you play a word!

Woo Hoo, cleaning services! Hope your DS comes through for you.

Maybe your DD will go independent next year so she can file her own taxes. The downside of doing that during grad school is no insurance coverage. My DD could have been covered as a student until age 25 as long as she was a dependent, but she had to establish residency last year so tuition would be cheap this year as an in-state student. We still help out with her car payments, but it is in her name and she carries her own insurance, TG!

I wonder if you could find a zoo or some place like that to take George :thumbsup2

Have a goog lunch tomorrow!

This explains so, soooo much. Poor, poor Lynette. I bet she can't even log onto her computer by now. It's a shame really. Obviously she is crying out for help.

I'll check with the local zoo, but I am pretty sure George can survive on local vegetation.

For old times sake, here is a pic of George and grandturtle George (dearly departed):

Thanks to Utah, LilL, Moo (again), NAB and everyone else who sent birthday wishes my way!

DD and I finally wrapped up her latest school project tonight (a 3-D likeness of our house, detailing all windows, doors and exterior building details. Oy.) Then we had a nice relaxing dinner and some birthday cake. After reading several chapters in the latest Junie B. Jones saga together, Boris and Natasha are now tucked happily into their beds. *sigh*

Life really is good!

Moo, as you've said yourself, a lot of Scrabulous' outcome depends on the luck of the draw as far as tiles go. It's sure nice to play with someone who gives me a run for my money though!

Lynette, I toatilly agree about the letter tiles. I was given lemons and attempted lemonade...It wasn't no HAUNTED, but it was all I could do with the crap given. My crappy tiles where then replaced with yet more crappy tiles. I used-to-could make a lemonade masterpiece with those lemons. It's been 15 years! :sad2:

Wendy, a word to the wise: Moo can create lemon chiffon pie outta those same lemons! She's the Scrabulous Sensei! Me? All I get outta them is sticky, sour fingers.

Moo, I may be having Facebook trauma, because I don't see the game you started with us and Wendy and Monica. :confused3 Do I have to have my first turn come up before I can see that I'm in the game? WTHelk?

JEU???

ok then!! I asked dh for help!! ;)

(hope that's not cheating!!) He's not home much anyway -

Monica :worship: How you have handled all those babies sick!! Someone else here is also dealing with ickies!!

I feel so bad for dd - but its dh and I together!! Her nose and eye is so red... and she feels and looks miserable!! and shes ELEVEN!!! all y'all with more than one :worship: I feel like I have an only child!!

Jon and Kate + 8 is on... :rotfl2: at potty training the boys - and teaching them how to dress!! Oh YEAH!! i remember!! *g

Marita I'm sure that's how you've been able to keep your girlish figure!!(ie no red meat - but I'm telling you the Beef over the egg noodles - YUMMM!!)
and awww poor Georgie Turtle - I'd take him if we lived somewhere warm... :sad1: just kick the poor thing out in the wild - *sniff *sniff...

So happy you had a nice birthday! :grouphug: Yep, luck of the draws is a BIG part of it!!! Ditto on being a run for my money ;)

I'm hoping we can suck you into remembering how much fun it is to play!!! I'm sure it will be no time before you're making lemonade again :dance3:

Lynette, I'm horribly sorry, but I "mis-spoke" - that game is with Mony and Sandy. Can you start another one with Wendy and me??? And someone else if they're interested?

JEU???

ok then!! I asked dh for help!! ;)

No problemo, Sandy!
