EEK, my darling daughter just told my I need to dye my hair!:scared1:

Ok great, this my was post 4,000. what JOY!

Did anyone watch Extreme Home Makeover tonight??/

:sad1: I cried
I didn't watch it this week but when I do it always makes me cry!

Hi Nab, I will try to got shoe shopping tomorrow
I also need to get a hair cut.
I have been debating getting a haircut. I can't decide if I want to let my hair grow back out or not.

2. She bucked dd off!!!! Little brat (the horse, not the dd) So, then I rode her and she was acting all wIerd and goofy. Kept running in circles, and trying to rare up on me. She didn't buck me off, even though she tried. We unsaddled her, and looked to see if something was bothering her, b/c horses can freak out if they're not saddled right etc. Anyway, nothing. Dh finally rode her for a bit, but he said she was acting freaky. Dd is all bruised and swollen.:guilty:

Then I rode Gab for a bit, but he's not a real smooth ride.. It felt like I was riding a pogo stick half the time. He's bouncy, like T-I-doubleG-ER.

THEN, I rode Peppy. Going from Gab to Peppy is like going from a Fiat to a Cadillac. It was smooooooooth sailing.:thumbsup2
SEE, you must have been having some sort of "feeling" or perceptive moment! (nothing new there) because when you asked me what horse you should ride you said "don't say Mocha!!" You just knew it wasn't going to go well...
Sorry about Julia. Hope she's feeling better.

p.s. I am NOT riding that horse when I come to crazynurse ranch.

Yes, feel free to text me. BUT God forbid you call, because that is just plain crazy!!!:sad2:
Glad we finally CLARIFIED that.

Today was a really goog day. I went for my run in the park and then I went to the pool and then we headed down to the river for the fireworks. Fireworks were good, as usual. I have a thing for fireworks. I love them. Some people are like oh, I've seen fireworks, but I could watch them over and over. They were very pretty.

While I was at the fireworks I got a lesson on cattle. Here is what I learned:

Some have horns, some do not, it depends on the breed
A male who has not been neutered is a bull
A male who has been neutered is a steer
A female who has had a baby is a (I forget)
A female who has not had a baby is a heifer
Cows can be roasted in pits tied to a stick
Then there were the Rocky Mt. Oysters :sad2: :scared:

Everyone has 3 guesses as to who provided me with all this useful information. Ready set go.

E, hope your DD is OK :grouphug:

Happy packin' Cel! My suitcase is emptied out and I'm startin' tomorrow :cheer2:

4,000 MOO HOOTY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Ma'am, and thanks!!!!!! I will extricate myself from the couch tomorrow!

Tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow, it's only a day AWAY!

GOOG MORNING AND HAPPY LABOUR DAY!

I translated to Canadian so everyone could read it. :thumbsup2

PJ
....All that cow info and no horse info??? Below I have substituted the horse terms most of which I only know because I have some knowledge of the thoroughbred industry.

Horses do not have horns.
A adult male who has not been neutered is a horse
A juvenile male who has not been neutered is a colt
A male who has been neutered is a gelding
A female who has had a baby is a mare
When pregnant a female is considered to be in foal
Giving birth to a filly or colt is the act of foaling
A female who has not had a baby is a filly
Horses cannot be roasted in pits tied to a stick
Then there were the Rocky Mt. Oysters :sad2: :scared:
Not to mention that desceptive entree "sweet breads" WHATEVER you do DON'T order the sweet breads!

Javamom....I always cry when I watch Extreme Home Makeover! Always! DD and I rented a movie last night called The Ultimate Gift and it was soooo good but also a tear jerker!

Marita....I need a haircut too! I want something fun but something fun usually means more styling, phloofing, and jsushing. I don't like to take the time to do that. I guess I'll just keep it simple so I can have a ponytail at Disney. But. I do need to buy a box of hair color sometime soonish.

Cel....I think I'm gonna stick with my world's ugliest shoes....the Keen sandals for Disney. My croc-a-likes rubbed a painful blister on the first day last year and I was hating them for the rest of the trip. Heck...the Keens might do that too. You never know til you walk 10 miles/day in your shoes whether or not you'll get a blister.

NAB
....Yay of the winter coat! I love to have that outta the way!

Moo, Twinkie, UM, Lil G, and everybody else......:wave2:

HAVE A GOOG HOLIDAY!

Thank you PJ and Lexy for that usefu information. I have no knowledge of rodeo, cattle ranching or the thoroughbred industry BUT I did read all the classics as a child including the Black Stallion series and the Gypsy (by Sharon Wagner) books. In the Gypsy books they are always preparing for gymkhanas which in my imagination are a lot like rodeos... only less cowboy.

See everything I know in life I learned from reading classic children's fiction.
The rest of my education was just jumping through hoops to get a diploma.

I hope everyone is having a great long weekend.

I did not see fireworks.pirate:
I did not play golf.:cool2:
I did not sit in a hot tub.:car:
I did not make beer bread with or without beer.:cutie:
I did not go to a rodeo.
I did not buy a winter coat or a bathing suit.:chat:
I did not book a disney vacation. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Oh well. Tomorrow is another day. I did however find GWTW on our four million channels.. caught the end just has Rhett was taking Bonnie to London. My girls were enthralled. They have very goog taste. ;)

Hey, Twinkie, that sounds EXACTLY like my weekend!

I may or may not actually leave the house today ....

GOOG MORNING AND HAPPY LABOUR DAY!

Marita....something fun usually means more styling, phloofing, and jsushing.

Whoa, Lex!!! Easy on the technical jargon, huh? Phloofing? Jsushing? Do I need an English-to-Hairstylist Dictionary to post on this thread now?

BBN: Yikes about Julia! Hope she's okay!

Lil L, Extreme Makeover Home Edition always makes me cry too. As do sooooooo many other things. My mom always says she should've named me Niagara.

Twink, I didn't do any of those things either. But my party went off without a hitch, and now the fridge(s) are chock full of yummy leftovers!

Marita and Moo (plus anyone else who's interested), let's try the photo thing again when we have a chance.

Happy Labor Day MOOvers! Hope you're all having a great day!

Well, on Extreme Home, the winner was a divorced mom and her 4 boys. They had purchased a home that passed inspection, but weeks later, they discovered that it was infested with termites all the way to the second floor. They had to gut the house and try to start over with it. So, they moved into her parent's dining room... all of them and their stuff.

So, Extreme Home, sent them to Disney World of course. The Mom has always wanted to be a dancer. So while they were there ABC/Disney arranges for her to dance in a production of The Beauty and the Beast. They show her in the ballroom scene at the end dressed in one of the hot pink dresses. Beauty and Beast sort of took a backseat and let her shine. I was nearly bawling, and so was she.

Oh yeah, they flew her parents there to be in the audience watching her too (another suprise), and, they redecorated the parent's dining room back into a beautiful dining room.

1. I forgot that I did indeed say that. My intuition has not failed me yet.;)
Julia will be ok, she's a tough cookie!

2. cow

3.:confused3
p.s. Brad and Angie (not THAT Brad & Angie, in fact these two people weren't even married) were less than impressed with the city girls lack of cattle knowledge. Brad said I bet she thinks cows (girls) don't have horns. He said it with a shake of his head, like WHO IN THE WORLD doesn't know that. AND your very next question was the horn one! That was too funny. Well, let me clarify, that was Eren's question.

E, hope your DD is OK :grouphug:

Thanks Moo. Just a little bruised and busted up, nothing a little Motrin and some tlc from a babynurse, won't cure.:goodvibes

The rest of my education was just jumping through hoops to get a diploma.

You have a degree from Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown College? I never knew that about you! I'm sure you got an A in face paint 101.

BBN: Yikes about Julia! Hope she's okay!

Thanks L! I asked her if she wanted to switch from roping and barrel racing to bronc and/or bull riding. She said she'll leave that to the professionals. Hmmmm, now where have I heard that before?

p.s. LEX: the dh said the Apaches would disagree with your "Horses cannot be roasted in pits tied to a stick". Ewwwwwwwww!

We are either a.) going to a church related picnic
b.) riding the horses to get ice cream
c.) flying to Boston for some good ol fashioned stalking
d.) going out to eat with grandparents
e.) the movies, if there's anything goog

Catch ya later!

Hi Steph, sounds like a lovely show indeed.

Hope you are having a great weekend, everyone!

Did you ever notice there is no floor scrubbing or vacuum smiley? I never did till now, cause that is what I should be doing instead of typing on a message board and reading trip reports.

Oh, for that matter, no shopping smiley either!

Wait, I know why! Cause all are things I hate to do, so they don't want to depress me. Yes, That's it!!!

Which means the :laundy: has to be removed for consistancy!!!

HAPPY LABOR/LABOUR DAY EVERYONE!!!

Well, then you have 2 more guesses. ;)

PJ....All that cow info and no horse info??? Below I have substituted the horse terms most of which I only know because I have some knowledge of the thoroughbred industry.
See, this is why I have to remain a "city girl." This is all too complicated. I mean, why can't a cow just be a cow and a horse be a horse???? :confused3
Not to mention that desceptive entree "sweet breads" WHATEVER you do DON'T order the sweet breads!
I don't even want to know. :sad2:

Lil L, Extreme Makeover Home Edition always makes me cry too. As do sooooooo many other things. My mom always says she should've named me Niagara.
Another thing we have in common there, BigL!! I cry at anything!!! My mom doesn't call me niagra though, she calls me "emotionally unstable." :rotfl: It drives her insane.

1. I forgot that I did indeed say that. My intuition has not failed me yet.;)

1. Like I've said, keep me updated on when something of interest is going to happen in my life.

2. :thumbsup2

3. WELL, the city girls were less than impressed with your knowledge too, I'll have you know. I told them that you had never heard of tabbouleh or even hummus really and they couldn't even believe that. REDNECK!

You should have seen us all sitting there waiting for the fireworks learning about cattle. The Rocky Mt. Oysters had the girls gagging.

Allow me to CLARIFY...some cattle have horns while some do not REGARDLESS of whether they are male or female??? How do you know if they'll have horns or not? I don't get it.

Today is my aunt's birthday. I am just finishing up her gift right now then we're having a party for her at my grandparents house. My grandpa has a pool so I'll probably hang out there. I really need to catch up on some school work too.

Happy Labor Day, all!!!! :dance3:

Come kidnap me for a shoppin trip, LOL!

I attempted to vacuum today. And my DYSON ;love: would not turn on! I didflip the switch for the outlet, at least 3 times. SO I figured it died.

Then DD got home, and I told her about it, and she said, did you try another outlet (not quite that nicely).
I said, it never occured to me that an outlet could be bad!

But low and behold, another outlet worked, and the house is now properly vacuumed!

Not that this is at all interesting, but you had a bad outlet so then I thought of it. I just got off the phone with physical plant, they're coming to fix one of my outlets that doesn't seem to be working. Once it's fixed we can all vacuum in peace! :yay:

OK, Story for you! Sometime like 15 years ago I went car shopping, for a fairly new used car, a Subaru. I tested one, a green one with light interior. Sometime during the conversation, the car saleman said something about he never had anyone buy a car without test driving it.
I tested the green one, then said, I will take the whiite one with the gray interior. Never test drove it!
I TOLD you I am not a shopper!!!!!

I drove that car for like 10 years even.

Okay, you're super close, but be careful, you only have one guess left!!! It wasn't Mr. Trollop I was talking to, but it was one of his relatives. :rolleyes1
