Marita and Lex - People are going on Wal-mart's site and asking that they not take away all the fabric departments. they brought a few back.

Marita - I know one in your area still has a department. I'll ask on the sewing thread and get the address. Maybe it's not too far.

Marita - it's the wal mart on kirkman road that still has a fabric section.
Is that close to you?
They also have the red minnie dot fabric.
Which is in high demand right now.
heh.
Like y'all care.
But you'll see Jeanie in it in the outfit I made for her!
And maybe my bloomers I'm going to make to match my Minnie dress.

..well its hot, and stormy....& that's just how my lil'miss is
feeling...

...i think,i mentioned this before...but i know where all the missing dust
from the haunted mansion went..to my house.

sorry moo, i left alot out...i am still trying to figure outmy lil'miss.....

ways of thinking..about the 2 colleges are always trying to out do each
other..., "pile of dirt"= land/where one lives... in reality, its very valuable.
...& my dad used to stressed ..the one thing worth dying for..is land.

however, i think where's one is born...will always be connected to it-
in one fashion or another. native americans...i think..were blessed with
the best insights..toward mankind & the world we live in..."pocahontas
& the "colors of the wind"...

..in alot of references....there's an ongoing theme between the story
tellers and the relationships between them. therefore, our lil'message
board can help others, to appricate..that there's an obligation to care
for the land..not just using it.

really? if man is so great..what have we invented ..that wasn't already
foound on the earth...which i think, all our ways of thinking good will,
are in~deeds....very.....pixiedust:

so ms. minnie moo..plez tell us more about where you live?

the sword & the stone?...i think, the lil'squirrel story was disney best-
ever..about true love....:teacher:

* tell you something about my feelings..i have "0" native american blood..
but i understand/agree with their educational toward family and nature.

in the mid 90's..we had no specific intereventions toward addressing
native americans' needs..yet, geniality- experience etoh problems...& since
i had no backgrounds....this was a major challenge to support something
that motivated their recovery..."emotional~inspirations" . sooo, i went
backwards..and asked "those with native americans roots"..to leave a lil'
of their culture ..behind...& that what they did...which was then shared
with those following them...[ i was very impressed with what they came
up with].

...fyi, most what i've share is not just based on believing, but also a
combination of genealogy, mixing it with geochronoiogy data....while
using the individual feedbacks..for a measurement / direction on helping
others to help themselves..where they want to go & do in life.....

....pitaes of the c., made some very valuable..references...toward pile
of dirt...funny?..even to this day..i  playing in rich soil. it makes
me me feel ..like the king of the world. :yay:

..even on the disney cruise ships, one will pay big$$$ bucks...for being
covered with mud? , once, we did the mud treatment...& iam
ashamed to admitt it..but i had to taste it? :cloud9:

was that hair~stopper on your head? utah m.? i'll bet i would..look alot
cuter ..if i had one....:rolleyes1 ..hint, hint..

:thumbsup2 c-girl right..now you got me wanting to make a skort---

...................... , wonder what colors would match w.t.'s eyes...

wild pink?

well c-girl, my mother used to tell us kids...her grandmother's stories from
virgina....we all thought she had seen one 2 many disney cartoons. its
so funny....cos the things that they used to raise us....came from this
family....& since they were the black sheeps of the family, & we're the black
sheeps from them....:rolleyes1 , no wonder, i got into a fight on the first
day of school..in the first grade? sorta gave my prediction of a life in toll?

chiilicothe..is of course ,an indian name...wanta here the name for an
indian princess?

..our house..isn't too bad..& i  the ways me & the lil'miss did every
thing ourselves...[i went around knocking on people doors -is how we
find our land.] ..if you go out on our front pourch..and look left..you
will see clear across the valley....that view..is exactly on the "great seal
of ohio". i think thats pretty neat. & remember the llil'things making me
happy?....i love watching the "wild' life in our yard..it isn't uncommom to
see ...deer outside our patio....i  land..and taking care of it...moo?
you like this...back in 2000,i look up from hunting....& over the hill came..
a black bear...its not very comforting...when all you have is a bow.

* one deer i killed with the bow..literally had no teeth left..he was very
old...then the next few days...a family of foxes came...taking different parts
and burying them for winter..i wrote a story called " the deer who became
3 lil'foxes." i love nature....if i could..i like to be bury in our meadow..to
fertilize the grasses ..that the deer eat.

* i would  to vacation there, moo girl!

...utah m! :wizard: ..i see a hidden mickey..you lil'sneak!

luxy~ girl...thats sound like a vey fun time. it is a very pretty area.

:thumbsup2 !!! and especially all the lil'things you do that makes it
special! neat tips, for everyone! :flower3:

lil g - Your deer and foxes story makes me want to sing.

"It's the circle of life, and it moves us allllllllll."

:)

Do we have a black sheep smilie?

:stitch2:

I think stitch is pretty close.
And if you like Disney's version of the sword and the stone, you should read "The once and future king" by somebody White (it's not E. B. I don't think) .
It's what they based the movie on. It's a good retelling of the Arthurian legend. I've read it about three times.
But not in over ten years. I should find a copy of it!

Hi, Cel,

Thanks for checking on the Walmart for me, Kirkman is on the other side of town. But anyway, I ordered some yarn online yesterday. But then today, I got an mail with PAYMENT DECLINED:scared1:
Well, that can't be, so I called them 10 mins ago, and got a recorded message that said, leave a number, we'll call you back! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
I might go to Michael's or Joanne Fabrics tomorrow and get some yarn so I can get started. Then when the one I ordered comes, I will have some for Grasshopper if he is a boy.

Uma, adoreable bow!

Hi, everyone else

I other news, I can't log into work, which is making me NOT happy!!!

Marita - did you stay home today?

NOOOOOOOOO. My boss emailed back this morning that I should go in to hae a salaried person there in case anyone drops by (like who?? GM has't dropped in in 1.5 years!) But boss decided to take today off, so I ended up going in. But I left at 2:30, and went I tried to work from my couch, and then couldn't connect!

Anyway, I decided to drive to Michael's tonight to get some yarn. The people from the site I ordered from did not call back today and are closed till Monday, so I decided, fine, just cancel the order, perfect!

So I am going to leave in about 30 minutes (waiting for traffic to die down). I'll go look for some more patterns too.

Wow . . . S-L-O-W day here!!!

I went shopping with a friend after work, then we went to the movies to see Stardust. It was better than I expected. It was fun seeing Michelle Pfeiffer look like a hag :lmao: Popcorn for dinner. Yum!

Lil G, I live in rural mid-Michigan, so I am a ways from most of the great attractions here in Michigan. But I can do day trips to Lake Michigan and some of the other things I mentioned -- with only a couple hour drive.

Sorry you had to go into work today, Marita! Did you get your yarn? I haven't checked lately whether our Wal-Mart still has fabric and yarn.

Hi Moo!

Yes I got yarn!!!!

And my card worked just fine at the store, I must have had sticky fingers typing in my numbers to the online site yesterday (PUI)

But!! They were out of 4mm size needles.:scared1:

OK, fine, New(ish) assistant said 4.25mm would work just fine. I swore i saw I had some yesterday.
But today when I got home, no 4.25 to be found, not even a 4.5 or 4.75!

So, MommyP, you are getting a blanket probably slightly larger than the pattern :rotfl:

Poly, We have one very pleased little 8 year old godson tonight. He came running into the apartment and headed straight to Amber to show her the card that Jack Sparrow sent him telling him that he could not wait to see him soon. Anthony was soooo excited. If you are still there, will you please tell Jack Sparrow that Anthony is excited about meeting him?

Thanks!

I am toadily with Marita, Tammy, that really is a sweet story!

Hope poly's trip has been fabulous!

E! Hope you and PJ get some time to do some TR writing this weekend :cheer2: :cheer2:

Happy Anniversary to the Twinks!!!

where's nabby..girl? did anyone read about the "no room at the inn
story?" ..where the canada couple....had to go to montana?

....so moo? are you big blue fans? [my neighbor, who's from ohio]....
are...they have 4 games tickets... , tell me they're something
like $85...each... , i told him that used to pay for season tickets...
any hoo...i had to asked him...:confused3 for michigan?..he stated he
just started following them 25years ago & never stop. so i asked who's
winning the big ten & ..he surprised me by saying the badgers? iam kinda
hoping...ou teaches osu..a thing or 2...:thumbsup2

"cheap as dirt"..must have been a person...who never paid for it
before...however, i like "sayings" like this..for illustrating...how
easy we can confuse our ways of thinking...& missing out on some
important details.

* my boys...will learn how lucky they have been..having such a good
cook for a mother..when they get marry. good eating..is an art.
[ her pies, esp. blackberries...still beckons me... ]
and you should see the beautiful quilts her sister have made them...
being a lil'homemaker....are some of my best memories~ that "bonds"
forever...even if separated. wow..you got me thinking about some
things..i haven't in a very long time....how do you you know when
you really want to spend the rest of yor life with someone? i figured,
when i was dating...my lil'cutie...pie, :cake: & i realized..my mother
 ..was no longer the most important person..in my life. she
was the one. was when i asked her to marry me.

so moo, do you guys own a boat?

yes..c~ girl, i lean that way :rolleyes1 * once i was driving down a road
and a gust of wind blew out a garbage bag...that burst opened...so.
i stop and picked it all up...i had to. and our family camping trips will
always be dear to my heart.

:thumbsup2 ...while i don't care for the wolverines...per say, i do think
its...:yay: ...like when the 2 schools competed for blood donations & such.
[ this is the way..i think they should show their spirit.] the final score is
nothing but points..so the real meanings is..how the games are play?

[like honoring bo...both schools should have. it was a shame the way both
schools were treated in the bowl game. * if one really knows what
happening, then people wouldn't be blaming the players. to me that what
makes me so  ] . i remember the year after woody was fired and
reporters tried to bait bo...he informed them, if woody wanted..he could
have their seat..neat to his. i think, if our victoreis take away everything
we learned from losing...then they stand for nothing. it seem like every
year, winning is based on $$$. that destroying the good things from
particiaption. right now, my favorite sports...are women basketball & golf.

* we decided to no longer support soap box derby...because they let those
with crimmal records take over the program i set up. for $$$. it isn't
worth it to us....finding childen sports where the adults are not going
crazy..is almost impossible. we are very careful, keeping to the girl scouts
and dancing. and disney!

Hello from the Kentucky State Fair :hippie:
I've worked 23+ hours the first two days of the fair, and now we'll get busy. I wore my crocs yesterday, and will not be doing that again. We have three surfaces at very slightly different heights, and the crocs did not work well. Wore my old tennies today and was much better.
Babynurse, I'd hoped you'd show today, as I wore my Donald Duck tshirt. Got comments all day including a woman(not drunk) who wanted to trade on the spot.
Cel, your football knowledge is much better than I expected. Maybe you could get that cheerleading scholly.
Time to go crash so I can get up and do it again. 2 down and 9 to go. Keep up the chatter, and I'll check back in a few.

:thumbsup2 ...that is soo neat...., i think about all the happy faces,
going to wdw.....is something i 'll never get tired of. way go tammy!

that's working the magic! [ i can see this trip ....is going to be neat...
aren't anyone passing near chillly town? :rolleyes1 , moo? i bet a lil'
scarlet & grey..would brighten ..." :ccat: " yor day....:flower3:

..dab gone it, backstage gal...there was something i wanted to
commented on for you...but i can't remember..what? ..uggh,
i hate getting ..forgetful!, ha! you thought i was going to say
getting older, huh? :hippie:

.....pixiedust: ++ :love2:..to the twinks....for many more...

"touchdowns!" , :cheer2: . by the way, who's the boss?

..oops got go..the lil' instructor....calling...:scared:

hey....:donald: ! isn't the corvette hall of fame ..near bowling
green?

..you know, i always rooted for kentucky 's football team...,
[i can't understand..why they don't win more...as the state
as a very well organized..high school programs. but the big
"L" did pretty good, & the big east..were some of the best games
last year.

GOOG MORNING!

Big weekend plans, anyone?

It's gonna be nice here today so I've got lots to do. Hopefully going to the pool The kids are tired of the pool as they always are by the end of the summer.

..you know, i always rooted for kentucky 's football team...,
[i can't understand..why they don't win more...as the state
as a very well organized..high school programs. but the big
"L" did pretty good, & the big east..were some of the best games
last year.
Thanks, Lil G! We need all the help we can get. Don't mention the L-word.

Have a good day everyone!

Hi! Everytime I come here lately the dis (Or perhaps Goldenchild!) eats my post.

Soo... thanks for the anniversary wishes Moo and Lil-G! As for who is the boss- :rolleyes1 :teacher: :thumbsup2

Marita- I am sew impressed with your adventures in crochet. Multiple shopping trips!!! Moohoo indeed.

DTD- I like your post about the woman(not drunk) wanting to trade shirts.... teeheeheee!

Dablue-That is a sweet. Hows does one go about corresponding with Jack Sparrow??? I am sure our little babynurse and utah's mother of the year would like to know;)

News here:
The twinkietwin-pack love school. A daily highlight is ordering your milk for snack time.... whatever you want and opening the carton yourself and drinking with a straw. EVERY DAY. Princess Twink even gives me the daily census for milk for the whole class (today there were like 12 chocolates and 2 regulars mom). They crack me up. The funny thing is I am pretty sure that chocolate milk was the reason I went to kindygarden.

DS is super busy with school and football. He really likes the guys on his team and is making friends. They do have homework already. This was his reaction -> :headache: :sad2:

Goldenchild cries everyday when the girls get on the bus. I know how he feels.

My in-laws arrived yesterday for the weekend.... so I was busy cleaning, polishing, scrubbing, removing fingerprints from the solarium windows etc.

Oh I forgot-
Utah- the twirl skirt trip report was sooo funny! I went and saw all the pictures- excellent work young lady!!! Should I PM you my waist measurement????? ha! I have always been a fan of the full twirl skirt. I used to call them "Cinderella dresses" when I was little.

Celery- thanks for posting it here.

Hiya Lexy! Bored of the pool????? They should be sent to school ASAP! I'll admit I rarely take my kids. I don't go unless I have lots of adult help (like inviting friends that only have one kid). I keep having daredevils- you know the kind of two year old that would gleefully jump off the high dive sans ability to swim or personal floatation device. My hair is gray enough thank you.

I am sure I forget other scintillating commentary and personal shout outs. So sorry. It is the heat. It has toadily melted my brain. Have a goog weekend everyone!:3dglasses

Lil G, I'm not much of a sports fan, but I am a bit more partial to Michigan than MSU ever since my DD went there for undergrad and I didn't go to college at either of them! Plus, it is great fun to annoy my coworkers who are MSU fans for the most part  If they taunt me on the rare occasions when MSU wins, it doesn't bother me a bit!

No chance of us getting close to Chillicothe on our way to Disney as we are flying. Even if we were driving, I think it is too far to the west. I noticed on the map where Chillicothe was when we were driving home from North Carolina.

We don't own a boat, but my BIL has one and my FIL has an old pontoon boat at his place on a small fishing lake near here. My hubby goes there most Saturdays during the summer to hang out with his dad. My FIL supposedly made some improvements to the bathroom this past year, but I haven't been out there to see them yet. The bathroom was too gross for me to use in the past. In my opinion, the house should have been knocked down and a new one built, but it wasn't worth doing that due to the neighbor's falling down place next door. A sewer system was put in around the lake this past year. Prior to that, no one was allowed to do any new construction on their properties.

I think Nabby has another whole week of vacation.

Twink, glad the twinnies had a goog first week at school! Poor little Goldenchild! He'll have company before long though :goodvibes Hope you have a nice visit with the in-laws!!! (What an oxymoron of a sentence that probably is!)

Hope they fix your ticker soonish. It is looking pretty sad.

Melinda
- It is quite cool here today for a change. Only 61 right now with a high of only 74 expected. I need to get my butt in gear so I can get out there and enjoy the cooler weather. I'm thinking it might not be warm enough for a beach day though.

DTD
, I am just picturing what that lady would have done had you pulled your shirt off :rotfl2: But I'm sure they must have rules about that in eating establishments (even temporary ones, LOL)!

Would someone please post the link that has pictures of the twirly skirt that Uma made for Norah?
