Marita - Congrats! Tell your son way to go!!!

nab - I can't believe you don't use your stone as much as you bake!

Everyone - go to pampered chef.com and look at the stuff you can buy. ;)

it's kitchen gadgets.

some of it's way overpriced. some is good - like the suds pump. I've had one of those for years!

yesterpage someone asked if I found my poopy mice visitor -
yes. I finally did.

Breadman was cooking saturday and we kept smelling something awful - we assumed it was always riley since I gave him some free trial size dog food I got.
only part of the time was it him!

the next day I baked a cake. and smelled the nasty smell. :( :( I had a feeling I knew what it was but didn't have time to deal with it.
Finally, last night, I donned some gloves, got a plastic bag ready and braved the evils of my stove.

They were in the spot under the eyes of the stove on top of the oven.
they were disgusting smelling!!!!
there were two of them.
I hate them, but they are gone now.
well, they are wrapped in paper towels, sealed in a ziploc bag and in my garbage. To be gone soon!

BigL...I'm glad to see you find yourself so humorous. Those jokes were some real gems. ;) lymi!

Celery...well gosh, thanks for sharing that mouse story. :rolleyes1

Moo...thanks for sharing that picture; it was really fun to see! :goodvibes I posted it on Hollywood's wall on facebook as well as the Drizella's wall. I don't know the Lady Tremaine, but I told Hollywood to share it with her. They'll all enjoy it. :thumbsup2

Marita...how was your day back at work?

Nothing interesting to report here. The missing beetles still haven't turned up. A lot of our mealworms hatched into darkling beetles today. But those are just normal size beetles so I'm fine with them. In conclusion, the theme of today is beetles. You're welcome. I'm off to the gym.

I love.....absolutely LOVE my pampered chef stuff.......I have stones that are well seasoned and are the best......My favorite items are the chopper......that thing is a blessing ......I love the pizza cutter and the spatulas.....the metal ones are the best......OH The bread knife is old.....I got that years ago and it is the best for homemade bread when it is even still hot....my daughter was a consultant before she got her teaching job and I always went to her parties.....or gave some parties.......
Remember if it is pricey the guarantees are there too...so keep your slips inside a cookbook on your bookshelf ......the receipts will always be there and you wont have to look far......

MARITA!!! HOW EXCITING! We moms love over-achievers! Congratulations on birthing one. And congratulations to Chris too! ;) BTW....did you tell that Dr. that you are driving all around Central FL with barely any vision whatsoever? And all motorists therein are in immediate danger? You need some clearance for that surgery! Just sayin.

Celery.....Gross.

Lynette....A bear? No ship? We don't get anything much bigger than squirrels and stray cats in my neighborhood. I'm scared for ya.

BNCG.....Sounds like you need some love.:hug:

PJ....Gross.

Pumba, Lil G, NABbie, Moo, et al.........:wave2:

Peej, you KNOW I crack myself up. Don't act all surprised. Okay, so the jokes were dry (sub-Saharan, as Boris says)....deal with it.

Thank you for the mealworm portion of today's programming, BTW. Beurk.

Lynette....A bear? No ship? We don't get anything much bigger than squirrels and stray cats in my neighborhood. I'm scared for ya.

Hiya Melinda! Sooooo good to see you! Yup, a bear. No ship. We have lots of other, more benevolent critters frolicking in our woods. They often venture pretty darn close to our house, since there's a stream that abuts one side of our property. Deer, rabbits, turkeys, and ducks. Plus there's a selection of slightly less cute-n-friendly animals like fisher cats, fox, bobcats and our "very own" hawk with a penchant for baby squirrels. *shiver* DH has even seen coyote, since he leaves for work at o'dark thirty every morning. But this is the first I've heard of a bear so close to home. Pretty unnerving!

Moo, we sure were having some carpy weather here. Luckily, (in true New England fashion) the past two days have been sunny, with temps in the 60s. YAY! The good weather is supposed to last right up until Friday night, so double YAY! :woohoo:

Cel, sorry about your visitors! :scared1: I would be toadily freaked out. I am still not completely recovered from our bat incidents this past summer.

Marita, how long before your DS gets his inspection and paperwork done? He must be feeling pretty good with so much positive change in his life recently.

Pumba, NAB and everybody: HOLLAH!

Thanks, Lynt!

I got my surgery scheduled today. Nov 16. Just need that pesky clearance form, hopefully Wednesday. I plan on begging and pleading with the Dr. I tried a little of that this week, but he just ignored me.

Cel, EEK about the mice, glad you got rid of the though!

PJ, first day at work was not bad. Did some work this morning, than sat in a 2 hour meeting, then had to leave at 3:15 for the eye clinic appt to have my eyes scanned and get surgery scheduled.

Tomorrow wil be busy, but not crazy (I hope), then Friday is team day, where we go play characters in the afternoon.

DH and Chris called tonight, they are in Provo, Utah now. Another day 1/2, I think. I'll be glad when they get to Great Falls!

I just had a flashback to something Chris said this weekend about if they get an alert:

At some point on the checklist it says:

"Cease calling your mama!!"

Guess that is when things get serious, LOL. Just made me laugh.

Something my BFF said tonight though made me feel really good. He said,

"unexpected things do NOT happen around nuclear missiles. It's one of the most carefully controlled places on the planet
"

I am up way too late, but luckily I have my lab test tomorrow, dont have to leave till 9:20, but better go very soon.

Celery - I do not know what is involved with becoming a consultant for Pampered Chef. Years ago I attended a Tupperware party and was blown away that for such a small amount of money I could have all those goodies without any commitments. So I signed up. I did my duty and had as many parties as I could, but very soon I ran out of people and parties and I was done. I spent more money than I ever made. LOL! The perks for consultants are AMAZING. Since then you have to fulfill certain requirements(like make a certain amount of money in a allotted time frame before you can get/keep all your goodies) I'm sure this didn't help any. lol! I would love some stoneware though. :)

Also, thanks for that mouse story at 7 o'clock in the morning.

Marita - You are eating more salt because your BP is so low now, but why is it so low now? Wasn't it just dangerously high?

Moo - I doubt Marita could get an increase in salt from "snacking" she eats as much in a day as I do in a meal. ;) She better just tilt her head back and pour it in.

BabyN - Very sorry for passing on the funk. I'm taking Kaleb in this morning(8:30 can't come soon enough so I can get an appointment). He's had a fever since Monday night. I let it go because I figured it was an ear infection(he said his ear hurt) and I'd rather it try and heal itself. But last night he said his belly hurt and in the middle of the night he said his throat hurt and he started having really labored breathing. :guilty:

In other news I've started supplementing with Ellie. Every time I nurse her I then give her 2-3oz of formula. She still isn't gaining weight. At her 2 month check up she was only 9,11. She is 2 months old but still the size of a newborn. Her pediatrician didn't say anything about her weight, but I'm worried. She'll go to WIC in a few weeks and get weighed there, so I'm trying this to see if she gains anything. It kills me because I am such a big breastfeeding advocate, but at least she is still getting the nutritional benefit from breastfeeding and getting more calories from the formula. I just cannot keep up with a pumping schedule to keep supplementing with breast milk. She is a slow nurser so I could easily spend an hour and a half nursing/pumping/bottle feeding , every 2 hours. Things were suffering around here. lol. Besides she still wasn't gaining much, although she was gaining some while I was doing that.

Good morning!

Lots going on here and lots going on in my neck of the woods. Well, we don't have woods we have tallgrass prairie but YKWIM.

Marita- Congrats to you and your son! I am glad you are seeing the dr to get the medical stuff under control so you can get that surgery soon. You are going to love being able to see. :3dglasses

Peej and Celery- Thanks for the assorted critter of the day stories.

BNCG- another  and some :hippie::wizard: for good measure

NAB- sorry I missed the nabiversary! Hope you guys have many more wonderful years together. You have such a sweet family.

MommyP- I hope you get an apt for Kaleb soon. Fever and labored breathing is not a good combo. I know you are worried about Ellie but like my very very pro-breastfeeding mother told me "Formula is not poison and a playpen is not jail" You do what you have to do. I am sure you are already doing the slow gainer feeding tricks like keeping them cool instead of warm while feeding and keeping them awake and on track by talking and tickling etc.

But I had to laugh at your almost 10 lb "size of a newborn". Some twinkie children have been almost 6 months before hitting 10 lbs.

We have teacher conferences today. Sigh. So many freakin genius children. So little time.

Twinkie - Ellie's small size is very apparent next to her cousin. Mercedes started out 2lbs lighter than Ellie, but is not more than 2 pounds bigger. lol. She is FAT.

Kaleb has Mycoplasma pneumonia. He is on his second round of antibiotics. His pediatrician had him admitted. Which was an easy and smooth process. He called ahead and we got to the hospital filled out the paperwork and got a private room.

Unfortunately Isaac became very upset and crying a lot at my sisters this afternoon, which is not like him. She took his temp. and he has a fever. SO, my Mom is bringing him in so I can take him into the ER just to be safe. Since he's been coughing for a week now, I am NOT comfortable being here at the hospital with him an hour away from me while possibly being sick. :o( So Chad will stay up here with kaleb and I'll be with Isaac in the ER. UGH! Ellie will also be with me in the ER. This is SO not how I wanted to spend the end of my week.

Chad and I were supposed to leave tomorrow night to go to the F&WF. :o( They were actually going to refund our money, but instead she said we could book for next week and try again. lol. They are always so good about refunding with things like this.

Thank goodness for free hospital wifi. But they block FB, so that stinks.

MP, yikes, that is so not good, kids in the ER  Hope they get fixed up soon. Also on missing F&W this weekend, hope you can go next week.

Twinkie, the pocks on teacher conferences, we miss you around here!

Nothing much going on here. DH and Chris made it into Montana and should get settled in somewhere at Great Falls sometime tomorrow and turn in the moving van, whew. I will feel so much better once they get there. 16' truck towing a 5,000 lb. car on a trailer trough the mountains just gives me a nervous breakdown, but they are almost there!!

So tomorrow is Team outing at work, which actually involves work in the morning, (Feedback and Action Planning, BLEACHH!). Then lunch (own dime - anyone remember my outings on the company, LOL? That's been gone a year now). Then Character Experience. I dont know how much fun that will be, found out we can't go to the parks anymore, something about Union contract. So we dress up in an old shopping mall converted to offices :sad2:

The calendar for activities tomorrow ends at 4, but we got an urgent email tonight at 8pm about having to send in list of vital files to be tested for conversion to Office 2007, and needs to be done EOD tomorrow. DANG!!

Finally figured out the reason my alarms did not go off the last couple of days was that they were still set for 4:30 AM from the day of my trip, and I don;t here it that time of day and they stop after a while :rolleyes1

PJ....Gross.
You. Are. Welcome.

Peej, you KNOW I crack myself up. Don't act all surprised. Okay, so the jokes were dry (sub-Saharan, as Boris says)....deal with it.
I see Boris is following in his mother's footsteps with the jokes. ;)

I got my surgery scheduled today. Nov 16. Just need that pesky clearance form, hopefully Wednesday. I plan on begging and pleading with the Dr. I tried a little of that this week, but he just ignored me.
Glad to hear you got the surgery scheduled. :thumbsup2 Your day tomorrow sounds interesting.

MommyP...boo on all the sick babies!! Oh my goodness you have a lot on your hands! Hope they're all getting to feeling better asap and you can enjoy F&W next week. :grouphug:

Twinkessori...how did conferences go? Is your child a pleasure to have in class or do they display high energy and require frequent reminders to focus and stay on task? ;)

I just got back from a ballet class. It was okay-ish I guess. I don't think I'll go back to that place though. I went to a different studio on Monday and I really enjoyed that class so hopefully I can make it there somewhat consistently. Still have one more studio to try next Tuesday!

I'm trying entirely unsuccessfully to put pictures on facebook. AHHHHH!!!!!!

Isaac and Ellie checked out okay. Clear lungs, no flu and Ellie was negative for RSV. They went home with my Mom. Kaleb is eating some cereal.

I found out that there are people waiting in a ER overload area that have been waiting for 16 hours to be admitted into a room. God is so good to have gotten us into a room. If we had seen any other DR. in the practice today besides our regular ped. we would also be waiting in that horrible place. Thank the Lord! My ped called down for us to make sure we would get into the next available room before we even left his office. Sucks he's retiring in Dec.v:o(

MP- I am so glad Isaac and Ellie are ok. I was just picturing you with kids in different parts of the hospital. I am glad you got a room for Kaleb and a diagnosis. Scary stuff. I hope he feels better soon and you can go home. Take care of yourself Amanda- you really don't have time to be sick. I hope y'all make it to the F&W next weekend.

Peej et al- Thanks for asking about the conferances. My children are a joy to have in class, they work well with others and show high aptitude in all areas. ;)

Here are some phrases you may want to use in your own conferences:

Harry participates in class and has no problem being heard in group work time.

(translation: my son is kind of a bossy loud mouth but not too obnoxious)

Jane is so friendly. She works well no matter what group of children she is with... she is truely a friend to everyone.

(translation: my daughter is friendly and sweet but if she doesn't tone it down she is going to be in trouble for socializing during class)

and my personal favorite
I love Sally. She is such a brave speller. :rotfl:

(Translation: Sally can't spell worth a hoot but doesn't let that stop her from expressing herself.)

Actually my "brave speller" wrote a very nice essay about our vacashion to Disney Worled. We stayed at Pop Sentury which was really grate. Her favorite ride was the Big Golf Ball which told us about history of communcahsion.

Twinkie, LOL about your great kids! Sounds like a fabulous vacahsion !

I'm afraid the spellunking has left this pasture :confused3

MP, thank goodness for your luck at the hospital. 16 hour waits? YIKES!!

I had something to say, but now it completely escaped me.... Maybe it's the hot and spicy V8 giving me memory lapses ??????????

Peej - I'm glad Hollywood enjoyed the pic! Ew on all the bug stuff. I hear you on how important it is to find an enjoyable class. It makes all the difference, doesn't it?!

Marita - Hope you get your surgery clearance soon :goodvibes So are you dressing up as characters tomorrow? When does your hubby make it home? Moving is always a chore, especially when it's a long distance move.

MommyP - That sure was a blessing to get Kaleb into a room and that your little ones checked out okay :grouphug: Fingers crossed for your F&WF trip. I think that's my favorite time of the year to go to WDW.

My sister came down with the flu last night courtesy of a coworker. Sounds like it's seasonal flu vs. H1N1. She got some Tamiflu, so I hope that helps stomp it down quickly.

Twink! Loved hearing about your DD's vacashion report :) We never had any doubt about your kidlets having high aptitude. Just like their mama :thumbsup2

Lynette - Yay on the better weather :woohoo: It was pretty rainy here today after a couple warmish days. I'm still hoping for a 70 degree day before the cold really sets in.

P.S. You're up!

Can you feel the love tonight....? Thanks to everybodeee! :lovestruc

MommyP: Omgoodness! How stressful to have all those sick little ones and one in the hospital! You definitely need some pixie dust.

Twinkadink: I lol'd at the vacashion to the big golf ball. Sounds like a freekin genyus.

PJ: Ty for all the beetle/worm stories?

Martia: V8 makes me beurky. just sayin. lol

Pumba: I LOVE the few pampered chef items that I have. Kitchen gadgetry is kinda cool. I can totally see Cel selling it. cel sell. ha.

Lynt: sub-Saharan? Impressive of the little lalijack.

 Moo, Lexi, LilG, Nab, et all.

It must be close to Halloween with all these bug and mice stories. :scared1:

I just hope Halloween is warmer then today. It is very windy, drizzling and cold.

Worse part it a volunteered weeks ago to help with power hour at school today and it is outside.....brrr. I was hoping they were going to cancel it but the chairs were out in the yard with the name of the games on them. Maybe I will luck out and get the game in the gym where it is warm. Out comes the winter coat and mittens.

Mommy P-- hope the kids get better soon. And like Twinkie said that you don't get sick too.

Marita--I didn't realize that your hubby stayed there to help your son move. Hope they are there safe and sound now. Hope your health is getting better too. What character are you going to be today....that sounds like fun. Probably not to you if you have to put on a heavy suit.

Moo--Thank goodness it isn't the swine flu. They say that the swine flu is like the normal flu only you have breathing problems with it. Don't know anyone that has got it yet as I am knocking on wood.

Well better go get my warm clothes on and head to the school. I think when they say power hour it will go longer then an hour.:lmao: They are doing this instead of selling chocolate bars. They got pledges from friends and family and all the money goes to the school.

hello all!
I've been still getting ready for the party. Last night was the grocery shopping.
all I have left to do at home is vacuum and mop.
and maybe scrub a few spots in the kitchen with a scrub brush.

my dad said he'd come by today and take off the trash - which includes rugs, sofa cushions, old vacuums, etc.

breadman and the kids are coming over tonight.
I agreed to take Camden to two different games tomorrow before the party.
The pampered chef lady is going to be at my house at 3:30.
I'm insane.
Should be fun!

I am so printing out the parent teacher conference quotes to torture angel with. she just got in from her conferences. :rolleyes1
