Moo-- your right , first week is crazy. Lots of paper work, and money needed for supplies.

Marita-- I thought you were buying the dip not making it....:lmao:

Mony-- :woohoo: on the 9 1/2 pounds. Have fun at your High school reunion.

I remember watching TV the morning of Sept 11/01. Something you will never forget. Prayers for all those families that lost their love ones.

Have been trying to go though boxes to put back in the basement. I have little piles down there now. Have to figure out what closet fits what. I have more Christmas stuff then I thought.

Marita-- I thought you were buying the dip not making it....:lmao:

I should have, DUH! But that being said, it was a big hit at the potluck. Still have tons leftover though as I thought I would. At least good to know I have a recipe in my back-pocket for a party, LOL. Not that I will make it very often....
Marita: Didn't realize you were working such strange hours???
Comes with this new job that I hate. I guess I am getting my payback for my sweet 10-3:30 hours for the last couple of years... :sad1:

YAY for the reunion finally happening and a great turnout, I saw all your posts over on FB.

Another 2 YAYs for losing weight and treading water with math class, better than drowning any day.

I only have a little bit (I think) of work to do this weekend. I could probably even push that off. Trying to think of some FUN project I could work on, but I am drawing a blank right now. Oh well...

Absolutely, positively have to get nails done tomorrow (beurk!), do laundry, clean the house, fun stuff!!!!!!!!!!! BUT better than working any time...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mony - Great going on your weight loss!!! You're going to look FABULOUS at your reunion! :goodvibes Hang in there on the math class. You can do it :thumbsup2

I'm so ready for vacation and really looking forward to seeing Mari. Guess I'd better drag my suitcase out this weekend.

Marita - Lots of yummy leftovers for you and your hubby :) Any idea when knitfreak's back to work?

Nabbie - How was the kids' first week back to school?

Moo-- the kids are happy to back with there friends. Nicholas went all grumpy on Tuesday but all week he has been excited about his teachers. He has 6 different one this year, two are male and he likes that. Maybe we will have a good year.

Nicholas went to his first dance of the season tonight. Hannah and I went shoe shopping. I swear her feet grow overnight. She went with shoes on Tuesday and today they didn't fit.:confused3

Moo, YAY on packing time and spending time with Mari. I'll pm you my work phone # in case any exciting lunch pms open up that I could crash. BB will be on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks starting Thursday! W00t!

Knitfreak will be back either Wednesday or Thursday.

Nabbie, I hear you on the kids outgrowing stuff, glad those days are over for me.

I defrosted liver last weekend, I better make that this weekend! Everyone loves it here, but its a pain to make with slicing onions and all. But then, anything is a pain to make for me, LOL

Marita -- you should have sliced or diced the onions when you were making the dip....:lmao: You are always cooking and baking but you don't seem to eat.

I hate cooking....if feels like we have the same thing all the time. If I try something new they usually don't like it. The kids don't like anything mixed. All food has to be away from other food. Actually Nicholas eats one thing at a time so nothing touches, well that is at home anyway.

Nabbie - We have a 7 am flight on Friday morning. I am so NOT a morning person, but the flight at that time is non-stop and hubby will do the driving to the airport, so I will suck it up and get up at an ungodly hour in order to be at Disney before noon!!!

Last time we took such an early flight, Don and I pooped out pretty early. I can never get much sleep the night before a Disney trip. We were falling asleep sitting on a bench at Magic Kingdom waiting for the 3:00 parade, LOL. I've seen threads where DISers have posted photos of people snoozing in the parks. Hope no one snapped a photo of us! Maybe I'll be able to nap on the plane and we can have a fairly low key first night.

Moo- Have a great trip! I am seriously in the Disney mood.

NAB- Glad your kids had a good back to school. They both look so grown up! I love Hannah's hair too.

Marita- :eek:on your work week.

Cel- How are YOU doing?

Mony- Have fun at the reunion and congrats on almost 10 lbs being gone :)

Allie- Thanks for explaining your FB status. That poor family.

MommytoEllie- Any weight gain yet? My friends with big babies all say they are really really slow to get back to birth weight.

Peej- How are the thuglings? I think of you all the time as I spend time with my little second graders. No mealworms or crayfish here on the prairie. They are decomposing food for science. In the classroom thank goodness.

BBN, Lynt, Wheat Thins- I need more incessent blather and drivel and dreck. STAT.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste!

:thumbsup2 Thanks Twinkie - goog recap!

Marita get your nails done - dont forget to eat!! ;) It wont be long till you go on vacation!!

Moo DH is on a camping thing - adult leader trainng for scouts - he stayed up tying knot thingy (show off! *g) anyway - he couldnt stay awake for the presentations (lectures) everyone (staff) was laughing and pointing at him!! but - I'm used to him falling asleep at home - or at disney - a quiet dark chair, *snore - CoP, Ellen's Adventure, HoP.... :rotfl2: Its a vacation, I like naptime!! :thumbsup2

Nab Big Brother, seriously BOOOorrring!!! Those cliques and letting Jessie in messed up the whole season imho! Wont be long till I complain about SURVIVOR!! :woohoo: (spoilers or from Jeff Probst interview - meanest villian ever on this season!! Russel I think, the commercials are showing him manipulating everyone - and everyone falling for it!! "I'm a cop, I should be able to tell if someone is lying"

DD :yay: and school :thumbsup2 The "mean" teacher last year she has again - but DD has "turned a corner" grow'd up... matured even! The teacher wrote her a note saying how proud she is of DD attitude!! her Homeroom teacher (BOTH DS' had her! :thumbsup2) she got dd moved into Spanish Class! (principal said no, her grades last year arent good enough - but teacher got her in!! :thumbsup2) DD is actually doing homework!!

DD did homework FRIDAY night!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Cel and Celmama thinking of you!!

PJ Hope your kids are learning and growing!! :flower3: (we need an apple for the teacher smiley!!)

BBN poignant picture... How is your work treating you?

:grouphug:

Dh still doesnt have a "job" - he is working 'consulting'

Sandy-- what grade is your dd in this year? Nicholas is in grade 7 this year and he actually came home this week too and sat and did his home work with out me telling him to get it done.:faint: I can't wait for Surivor and Amazing Race too!

Moo-- that is pretty early, yay on the direct flight though. How long is Mari staying with you at WDW?

Twinkie -- I am sure your kids are really grown too. Is your morning sickness gone now?

We are off to the girl guide store. It is all ther way across Toronto so we may do some shopping along the way. We should just order it on line but not sure on the sizing and we went last year for her Brownie stuff, it is a big store.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday....Sun is shining here.

If you have some time - grab your kleenex and read about the Magic of Disney and the Wish of a sick boy to meet and ride the Steam Trains at Disney! :goodvibes

Maroo is the author - and she kindly has put links to the next chapter! (so you can skip the chatter, and just read the story) She is on Chpt 3 of 10 - Chpt 1 says who she is and how it went down, Chpt 2 intro to the Make a Wish Family - Chpt 3 they meet the engineer, and get a very special :wizard: Magic!

Nab Meg is in 7th grade.... she tests "high" on standardized tests, but argues with teachers :sad2: Last year was easily "trying" - so this year, :cloud9: she seems to have "turned the corner"! I should post a pic - she looks so different!

Sandy and NAB, yay for things at school going better this year. Makes life so much easier. :thumbsup2

Sandy, I DO so need to get nails done today, but it's really gloomy looking outside, and I hate to go out in that. I should just bite the bullet and go, but I won't, LOL

I had looked up flights online before and found a great flight, 5 hours direct to LA, leave 1 hour later for Santa Barbara. So this morning I asked DH if he had booked the flights yet, and he said yes, but waiting for confirmation (he rarely checks emails at home). OK, fine. But then he said it was a 9 1/2 hour flight with 2 stopovers, like in Seattle. WTH?? But too late to argue now, not worth it. He left his return trip open, waiting to see about driving to Montana with DS and a U-Haul, towing an SUV through the Rockies :scared1: I certainly would feel better if he did. I also learned this week that DS will be in Montana for 4 years, I thought it would be shorter than that. So I guess eventually will go to see Big Sky country. YEEHAW!! DS already contacted an agent to buy a house there. He says most of them are from the 20's and 30's (as in 1900's), but with improvements made by the constant stream of AF people. So we shall see....

My next door neighbor moved out and the house is for rent. We alwayas joked that they were drug dealers, there were always cars coming and going, driving over the grass. So the neighbor put one of those orange traffic cones on the grass near the mailbox to keep people from driving on the grass. It was a real eye-sore to me. So they have been gone for a month or so, but the ORANGE cone remained, annoying me. Someone returned this week and put a bunch of stuff by the curb for trash pickup.
So when I left for work, I walked over, moved the offensive object 2 feet towards the pile, and lo and behold, the garbage people picked it up! :rolleyes1

Twink - I seriously think it's time to plan a MOOvers' Meet at WDW for next year! I am SO ready for this trip (I know I have probably said that more than once) :goodvibes

I think I have my family talked into dressing slightly pirate-y pirate: at WDW on the 19th for "Talk Like a Pirate Day"! That will be the extent of any matchiness during our trip. I found some pirate bandanas for a buck each at the flea market at our town's annual festival and hubby found a skull cap that (ironically) has skulls on it at the arts and crafts show

Nabbie - Mari will be with us for 4 nights/5 days. w00t!!! Then she and Don are leaving and my sister and her BFF are spending the rest of the week with me :dance3: My sis and her friend are going to Universal and staying at one of their hotels for the first few days we'll be down there.

Marita the sun is shining here!!

Moo pick me!! :yay:

I started a pre trip report - I think its got WAY TMI so I'm going to delete it - I talk too much!! I have so much going on in my brain - and no one to talk to (dh is on a camping weekend!)

This trip I think is going to be a "meet" with another online Disney board I post to - remember Poly? She posts on the board too (not going to make the meet tho!) its a private board that if you guys want to join - let me know I'll send you the info - its called pixie plantation and was started because of "mean" people on a RAC board (:confused3) One member - her dh passed away recently and she wanted to meet up - so I'm kind of excited about meeting..

but I want to go to WDW for F&W!!!

sandy - I hope dd's attitude stays good - I know how hard last year was.

moo - are y'all dressing up for mnsshp?
one of my friends at work asked me yesterday if I was dressing up, but I said I don't think so.
I might change my mind.

twink - I'm ok. Thanks for asking.

I've got a ticket to wicked tonight.
woo?
I really want to see it, but I'm just not in the mood. but I spent waaaay too much money on this ticket - and it's sold out, so I might as well go.
right?
:confused3

This just in from the chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts: Official announcements:
Fantasyland Expansion

At the Walt Disney World Resort, we will be doubling the size of Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park — the largest expansion in the park’s nearly 40 year history.

A new area called Fantasy Forest will allow guests to explore the fairytale homes of their favorite Disney princesses. Guests can learn how to waltz at Cinderella’s chateau, attend a surprise birthday party for Sleeping Beauty in her cottage, be magically transported from Belle’s house to the Beast’s castle, and relive Ariel’s adventures under the sea in an attraction based on The Little Mermaid.
Tinker Bell and her friends will inhabit Pixie Hollow, a land of towering flowers and giant blades of grass.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant is getting a makeover that will double its capacity and feature interactive games in the waiting area — part of a new initiative to make our queues more like the first act of a show.
A new coaster and other surprises will round out the offerings, and it’s all scheduled to debut by 2012.

Star Tours 2.0
Fans have been speculating about changes to this classic attraction for years. So after fending off a brief “invasion” of the exhibition hall by Darth Vader and his storm troopers, I was pleased to officially announce our plans to revitalize this guest favorite. When it reopens at Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2011, the updated Star Tours will feature a thrilling new adventure and cutting-edge technology — such as a 3D digital projection system — that will take the experience light years into the future.

Disney Cruise Line 2011 Itineraries
With two more cruise ships set to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet over the next few years, we will have the ability to take our guests to even more fascinating destinations. As Bob Iger shared earlier at the Expo, the Disney Wonder will find a new home on the West Coast starting in 2011, splitting its time between the wild frontiers of Alaska and the warm waters of the Mexican Riviera.

CEL GO - you need the break from reality!!
:goodvibes
(Elphaba):
I'm limited
Just look at me - I'm limited
And just look at you
You can do all I couldn't do, Glinda
So now it's up to you
For both of us - now it's up to you...

(Glinda):
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you...

Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend...

Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you

(Glinda):
Because I knew you

(Both):
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):
And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you blame me for

(Glinda):
But then, I guess we know
There's blame to share

(Both):
And none of it seems to matter anymore

(Glinda):
Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood

(Elphaba):
Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a bird in the wood

(Both):
Who can say if I've been
Changed for the better?
I do believe I have been
Changed for the better

(Glinda):
And because I knew you...

(Elphaba):
Because I knew you...

(Both):
Because I knew you...
I have been changed for good...

Marita I saw the map on the Theme board!! So cool!! I can only imagine HOW CROWDED its going to be in 2012!!

:wizard: May this mean Disney (and the rest of America! :wizard:) will start HIRING again!! :wizard:

Thanks, Marita! That's awesome, isn't it? Emily was saying just today that there should be an Ariel attraction!

Have fun at Wicked, Cel! Let me know how it is! We have tickets next weekend for the Sunday matinee. (BTW....were you in Lexington last month??)

Did the BNCG or PJ go to the extras casting call for Secretariat in Loo-uh-vull yesterdee? Emily went to the one in Lexington today with a friend. Mimi said "Who's Secretariat?" :confused3

How is ever-buddy??? What have I missed?
