Of course he would! The Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger spin would be rigged so the guy would have the higher score. I think Brian Urlacher all ready has a trip booked.

Celery: Thank you for the loverly recap. I saw Gigi's in Spring Hill. I wondered if it was The Cupcake place. At least I think I was in Spring Hill- it had beautiful rolling countryside, tons of McMansions and an ocassional singlewide with a rusted truck out front- sound familiar?

Best wishes with your current endeavor. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that- add me to the list who is praying for you and wishing you the very best.

Moo- Congrats on 80 lbs :yay:

Marita- Congrats on your son's achievments! I think the rocking chair idea would work- OR you could just skateboard behind the truck ala Back to the Future.

Nab- My husband wishes I would clean more often. However I am currently on a cleaning and organizing frenzy. It *is* exhausting. I have also been to the walmarts every day this week. That is exhausting too.

MP- Won't your mom be too busy taking care of the other 12 million Poppins children while are are in labor to come bother you? I have always lived far away from family so our births are only attended by strangers in scrubs.

PJ- Add me to the class list PM too. So far my students all have normal names.... however registration goes another week. I had a teacher who signed things T. Edward Lastname. I think his name was Timothy or Thomas but I told everyone it was Tiberius. They believed me because I am so :littleangel: when the rumor got back to him, he thought it was pretty funny.

I am changing my location- but only for a little while. :littleangel:

Umm, wouldn't any further attempts to give BBN more hours be overkill?? Pointless even at the present time???????? But I am sure BBN appreciates your gesture :)

Marita: Sorry about your Montana trip. Maybe you could be like Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies and they could strap a rocking chair to the back of the truck and you could sit there. lol

I'll be flying off the mountain when I come ............

But thanks for the suggestions!

Went to knitfreaks wedding shower today. It was scheduled after the good-bye lunch (was her last day before starting her new job as a salaried CM in FInancial systems) with her current region, and they told her there would be cake afterwards in a meeting room at 1:30, which was my time to show up. Unfortunately, Asst.#2 couldnt make it today. So I got there maybe 5 minutes early and was waiting all alone in this room with nothing to do for almost 30 minutes. After studying maps of POP and CBR all I could (I know them by heart, I workd there for 15 months), I explored a filing cabinet and found binders full of stuff from the hurricanes of 2004. So I read through emails from Hurricane Frances (9/4-9/5/2004, I know the dates well now, LOL.) I really wanted Charley, but his binder was just too big....

Anyway, knitfreak got some cooking stuff from her registry from the team, and I got her a gift card, which I ran out this morning to get. Frigging greeting card to put it in was $3.59, WTH  Then we had cake and icecream. I learned that she is making alpaca wool socks for her fiance as a wedding present. Size 12D with tiny needles and she is hiding it from him, and he keeps throwing hints about wanting knitted socks, LOL.

About 2:45 I left to go back to work, but my car had other ideas. I took a wrong turn TWICE! This is going from POP to just past the Studios entrance, a stonethrow away. First I missed the left turn I needed and went straight to the back entrance of Epcot, turned around, then turned too soon and went into the Studios and cruised the parking lot for a couple of miles till I could turn around....... But I was a good little employee and stayed till 5pm, went home and worked till 9:30 :littleangel:

Twinkie - My Dad and brother have babysitting duty. It's only for a few hours. Then Mom will be home and we'll be home a few hours after that. We wanted it to just be us, but I didn't have the guts to break it to my Mom.

Went out with Chad tonight. A real date. We went to The Melting Pot and then to see Transformers 2. Way to freakin long and drawn out. I was not comfortable sitting for 3 hours for a movie. But it was a nice dinner.

Im heading back to work but I wanted to acknowledge twink's location. lol! Have a nice day y'all.

YIPPEE........they have the bank robber in custody and he admitted to the other six bank robberies in the area of Augusta....If you google WMTW.com you can see the Augusta Bank robbery ......she is in OOB with her boyfriend and his family for the weekend...She did work Wed and thurs and they say the best thing to do is get back on the horse......and she did .....even the bank president came down to see her.....she said she has met all the head haunchos now.......rofl.
I get on everyday looking for our little cyber nephew or neice to arrive.....We all will be great cyber aunties and uncles.........let us know when "our" baby arrives.

Marita.......hope you are able to get the right connections when you go to see your son........

nab.....did you see how chilly it was last night....in the 50s here.......felt like fall and I do like fall in Maine but usually after a hot summer......so summer for us will be the six nights in Disney...

Kids go back to school in our area on the 26 of August.......sure will be quiet in the neighborhood.......but Ava and I will go for long walks and enjoy the fall......she is just a joy to have with me during the day.........and a little brat too....hahaha

have a good Saturday everyone

We leave tonight to go to her place. We have a Christening tomorrow and I have to give my sister her birthday gift. Found out Nicholas suit pants are getting short and his shoes are getting small. We only got this suit for Christmas last year. :sad2:
Hope you have a nice trip/christening!! Let us know how it went.

You know what I find exhausting? Waiting in line to check out at the walmarts. Is that ever less than like a 25 minute ordeal? For the love of all things!!!

Normal names?! Now that's no fun at all. I am disappointed to say I have no apostrophe names this year. You know, the ones with multiple capital letters and a couple apostrophes thrown in for good measure. I had 3 last year!

Marita...getting lost between pop and studios? :lmao: Sounds prezackly like something I would do!

Twinkie - My Dad and brother have babysitting duty. It's only for a few hours. Then Mom will be home and we'll be home a few hours after that. We wanted it to just be us, but I didn't have the guts to break it to my Mom.

Glad you got to have a nice dinner. :)

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! Glad to hear they found him and that your granddaughter is doing okay! :cool1::lmao::dance3::yay::woohoo:

bbn...happy little working song. You're welcome.

Student orientation last night was very nice. One little girl came in and said "Hi, I'm _______, and you're beautiful." Freakin love that kid!!! New favorite? :scratchin I mean, teachers don't have favorites. :littleangel: A big group of teachers all went out after orientation was over. I hadn't seen them since June, so it was really nice to catch up with everyone.

I'm going to the gym and then I need to get a couple things at wal mart. Wait. Isn't that exactly what I was doing yesterday? What an exciting life I lead.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday.

I did a lot of work on my pet project today that is not even official work (meaning not mandated, but something I want to do to save many hours in the future), made great progress, almost there!
After horrible stuffed peppers in the cafeteria yesterday I made home made ones today, YUM!
Never did get to talk to DS yesterday on his birthday, cause he was stuck in a secrect simulation chamber from 5:30 till midnight. They made him a sign that said, Happy Birthday, Old Man!... :sad2: He is older than most people there.

Now I am almost watching Finding Nem, as much as my attention span for TV lets me, which is pityful.

DB called today to report mom had a good first week in her new home, and now has a phone, so I am planning to call her tomorrow.
Here is a link to her new digs, if you have nothing better to do:

Keep swimming, everyone!

Looks like a nice bright place to live. They look like they keep them busy. I can't read the German but the people look happy.

Pumba Your granddaughter was a brave person. I am glad she is fine.

Mama P Good luck this weekend hope you are feeling good.

Where is everyone? I have Riley tonight. Amber has gone to Nashville with breadman.( They are just friends) She is staying really busy. She doesn't get in every night till 9:30. So Riley gets to stay a lot with me. I enjoy his visits. May be going to bed pretty soon. Take care every one.

WT Glad to see you back.

Hi Celmama, glad you stopped by. Yes, mom's new place does look nice, I agree. Theye have a summerfest coming up and Octoberfest later this year, and they have singing sessions and other activities and coffee and cake in the afternoons. But it is VERY expensive :scared1: Brother and I have to pay for it, (well, mostly brother) she has no money.

I guess everyone is still busy with summer activites.

I went to see the Julia & Julie movie tonight and really enjoyed it. I'm a little down in the dumps tonight because my BFF is having a really tough time with a medical problem that the doctors haven't fully diagnosed (first they said migraines, then they said TIAs and probable stroke). She tried going back to work this week and ended up in the ER Wednesday while I was out of the office for a meeting. I didn't find out about it until today. I'm going to go visit her tomorrow. She's trying to decide whether to go on long-term disability or retire. Either option, she's afraid of losing her house because it will be a loss of about half her pay :sad2:

Peej - Sounds like you're going to have your hands full once school starts back up - hope the kids are all little :littleangel: instead of thugs :rolleyes1

Pumba - TG they caught the guy! Hope things settle down for your GD once she's back in school.

CelMama - That's great for you to have Riley pup visiting. Glad to hear Cel is spending some time with friends :goodvibes

Marita - Do they have something like Social Security in Germany? I know that that's what paid for my Grandma's stay in a nursing home for a few years. Sorry you didn't get to talk with your son on his birthday, but it sounds like he works with some good guys that have a sense of humor!

MommyP - Yay for having a date night! I've always wanted to go to one of those Melting Pot restaurants, but we don't have one nearby.

Nabbie - w00t for a clean house!!! It was pretty rainy here today, but I found some things other than cleaning to do

Moo, sorry about your friend , that sucks.

Yes, they have SS in Germany, they kick in about 1,200 euros ($900 or so a month), plus her retirement, which is very small, but DB makes too much money so they are making him pay instead. He has to pay about $2,000 a month out of pocket. He has a business, but you dont just pull that kind of cash out of your astartar. If he were destitute, I guess the state would pay. I''ll have to kick in too, OUCH!

I would love to see the Julia movie, but I guess i'll have to wait till rental or cable, oh well. I'm not as brave as Sanday trying to make a 5 hour dinner, LOL

You missed something. What if they built you your own WDW and they transferred cast members over from the current WDW and I was still a hostess at Chef Mickey's? Because that's what would happen. And then I still wouldn't let you into the restaurant. Should have thought that one through a little better there, lawyer.

I did think that one through. What's that line that Donald Trump always uses?

Wheat Thins

oh marita.......it sounds like a great place for your mama to be in......Bring her to the US.....she would not have to have her kids pay here....they use the SS and any retirement money and their savings if they have any......they are allowed to keep a certain amount of money in their savings ...also funeral can be payed for up front.....

Today another sun showing up ........but yesterday was a chilly day and it was great.....sun and cool temps for an outdoor anniversary party that we went to...

have to make another appointment for the MEG to have her blood checked to see if the thyroid levels are where they should be.....she hates to go to the vets and the kennel........maybe we should try to take her in the truck and go and get an ice cream for her......then she MAY like to go for a ride again.....

I am going to go shopping this week and get a few more well they are shorts but not shorts...sort of like a baggy bermuda shorts......skorts????? I dont know what they are called but I am old and cant do the shorts anymore.....dont want to embarass the family you know........hahahaha...

hope you are all well and I wonder if we are cyber aunties again......any baby updates????

2. I am changing my location- but only for a little while. :littleangel:

1. Brian Urlacher would be head of security.

2. What a true friend you are. Anything, including your location, to help out a BBN. This, my friends, is one of the most moving displays of friendship I have ever experienced.

Wheat Thins

Sung by Twinkee to BBN:

You've got a friend in me.
You've got a friend in me.
When the hours are hard to find,
And I'm miles and miles from my nice warm bed.
You just remember what your old Twinkee said.
BBN, you've got a friend in me.
I'll do what it takes, you've got a friend in me.

You've got a friend in me.
You've got a friend in me.
If you've got bills to pay, and I got 'em too.
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you.
If I am willing to procreate we can see it through,
Cause you got a friend in me.
Yeah, you got a friend in me.

Wheat Thins is a little bit smarter than I am.
Bigger and stronger too.
Maybe, but he will never love you the way I do,
It's me and you, BBN.

And as the years go by,
I've got enough children to fill an orphanage.
You gonna see you've had plenty of hours.
You got a friend in me.
I'll do what it takes.
Yeah, you got a friend in me.

Pumba, she wouldn't be happy here. She doesn't speak English that well, and only me here.
I just talked to her for the first time in weeks, since her fall. I can't believe what a difference!!!!!! She was upbeat, in a great mood, loves it there, has friends, her voice was clear and strong, it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

WT - That was flippin HILARIOUS!

We didn't make it to church this morning. I was having cramping, back ache and contractions until after 2:30am. So I slept until 10:30. I feel like I could sleep all day. I was craving a Big Mac and since I was down 3 pounds this morning I figured why not. Unfortunately it was horrible and now I am incredibly nauseous.

We finally got the satellite hooked up in our bedroom. It about gave Chad heat stroke being in the attic for that long. But thankfully now it's done so I dont have to get up to feed the baby and I can spend time in bed the first day or so when we get home with the baby(if it ever comes).

So now I am going to lay in bed and watch some. lol. Chad has studying to do.
