twinks - Originally it was GiGi's cupcakes. There's one near my office in Nashville, one I think in Franklin and one in Spring Hill (where I live now - or near it).
But! They have been replaced as my favorite.
My new favorite is the Curious Gourmet on Main Street in Franklin!
Oh. My. Butter. Cream. Goodness!
It's like a stick of butter with sugar blended in.
Which I guess is what butter cream is supossed to be - but it always tastes like crisco to me.

Bridget still prefers gigi's. I think they're too dry.
There's another one on Main street that I haven't tried yet - ivy cupcakes, I think?

Little L did not drown in yesterday's crazy floods.
Big L has been kinda missing lately.

Wendy even dropped by yesterday.
Nabbers has been camping, but the kids don't seem to have as many swim lessons lately. Oh! and her tile is on an angle in the laundry room.
Pumba is around on occassion. Of course, she's busy planning ANOTHER trip to the world.
babycow is the same as ever.
I joined outpatient rehab.

And had my first open AA meeting today. it was odd, but I think maybe I can get the hang of it.

celmama is having a rough go.
my dad is being extra weepy lately and won't go to the dr.

Yesterday pm my grandaughters bank was robbed....she was the teller that the robber yelled at and came up to her and had a gun in front of him.....he was screaming at her to get all the money from her drawer and the others......then he was out the back door.....one of the other tellers locked the doors and someone already had called 911......my grandaughter was hysterical and broke down crying and shaking all over......she did everything by the book and remembered all the rules of a robbery.......police arrived then the detectives..and crime scene people in a huge truck......looked like something out of CSI....
She was there for three hours from the robbery until they all left....the detectives did come out a few times to tell us (we naturally drove to the bank she was at for that day) out of our town area.......that she was shaken up pretty bad but was okey and they were taking care of her .......then the vp of the bank came out to tell us the same thing and that because she was more directly involved they had a lot of questioning and that they would provide counseling for all of the tellers and her too ...
Today she worked in our town and she got back on the horse so to speak and worked.....they got her flowers and another teller took her out for her lunch......they were very good to her..
When she got home today her beau was here waiting for her...she wouldnt talk to him on the phone last night because she didnt want to cry .....so they talked on IM only......he came two and a half hours away to be with her for a few hours.......sweet is young love.....
she leaves in a week and a half for college.....and this is how her new job worked out.......

Yah I can hardly wait to go to disney and get out of town......good weather wsa here today and yesterday.......geesh

Cel, my former SIL and another friend joined AA many many years ago, and they have a great circle of friends there even after all those years. Still go to meetings, parties, etc. Hugs to Celmama and hope your dad get better

Well, looks like Montana trip is not going to happen, no back seat in the moving truck plus DS said he wanted it to be a Father-son trip. So it looks like 1 day at DL

Hi y'all!

First, lemme get the required info out of the way:

Pork roast, garlic mashed, steamed asparagus and salad. Mostly sunny, high temp of 87, high humidity. I do not hate DVC, because it's not right to hate, but I have strong feelings of dislike for insects, most reptiles, and the color orange.

I have been up to my eyeballs in laundry (towels from the pool, mostly) and playdates. Plus registration for Girl Scouts, Spanish classes and CCD. We are nearing the end of summer vacation. Bleh! I dread the start of the jam-packed daily schedules!

BBN's are the spice of life.

Really? I thought it was cinnamon?

Lynt STILL has bats in her belfry?

Hmmm, actually not all that surprising.

..rain..the whole, furance-basting....week!

sadly..we're back.....& had our typical trip. * in geogia, we stopped

...when a terrible....rain storm hit. i told my wife, sure glad we stopped

..& got out that mess...just then, the el-cheapo gas station's roof fell.


..took out 5 pumps,& had to tell everyone not to smoke..& "free gas"!


....who thought???...that would be our only rain.....should have fill

...a bucket...or 2.


also had a few run in's with those nasty, brazilian ,opps broads~zillians...

with the heat index over a hundred's...lil'grumpy...was a whole lotta

.....grumpier! especially when those hooilgans brazilians..tried to block
us from using the side walk.....to our room...funny?....they quickly,
understood ...."make a lane"..though no english.

sadly, how they trashing the all~stars movies....with their gum wrappers
...and "female-products"...writing all over the windows..throwing dirty towels
on the big buzz & woody....maybe, we all should return the favors?

* note, their chaperone ...tried to make them behave..but not enough,
& as soon as they were gone....

my daughter...he better be able to swim. alot...cm's..have had
enough..too.

however, ....strangely, when the show..begun, they all settle down.

..she also got...to see..all the fairies.....& i think, one was flirting with

the beast..knew...my disney~liked character....came up..gaston!

...she also got to crossed swords..with this funny~loking masked

tigers..up close. ]...... & really,

he kept..trying to get us all..to the dark side...but i could sworn..it
was the "hottie~side..until, my better half..broke that lil'party
up...so no "soup"..for lil'old me....even....some pink floyd. rats!

oh..someone, brought....a li' grey rat..around the french restaurant,
by chilli! apptizers..he wasn't!

oh, i sure was losing her alot ...this trip...once in the bathroom over
@ mexico..don't asked! , @ lil'cutie pie!

or maybe.,...it was the "bar" room.....you kno, i don't read spanish..that

Welcome bACK, Lil G! I was just wondering last night if you had returned from your vacation yet. Some of those Brazilian groups are pretty rude. We encountered a group during a Christmas trip many years ago. But it sounds like you still managed to have a magical time! Are you thinking of buying into BLT? I can't wait to go!!! I just looked at a bunch of photos and a video tonight and it looks pretty nice. Just hope I can get a room on a high floor
