My thoughts EXACTLY, MamaCel! Natasha offered to look up the # for Orkin, but DH wants to see what's what first. Oy.

Thanks for your concern.....you're such a sweetie!

Ha! What critters might we encounter there? Ack! I guess the critter you know is bettah than the critter you don't....so I'll stay here. Someone want to sing me a chorus of "Praying for Daylight"? Waaaaaah!

At least the kids were able to fall asleep. DH declared us all to be wussies before he and Mojo went upstairs for the night. Feh....he and the dog can have the bats all to themselves, I say!

don't wanna spend another lonely night oooooo

I've got the lights turned up

The door is locked

The tv's on

Doing the only thing that gets me through the night

Since they've been here

Prayin for daylight

Waiting for that morning

So I can act like my life aint going wrong

Bats go away

I swear I'll make it right

Don't make me spend another freeky night

Prayin for daylight

Prayin for daylight

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I skimmed again but just wanted to add.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOO!

Hope it was a good one!

Lynette.....Run!!!!!! Bats can be rabid. Don't take chances. Call the exterminator now! Please!? For your friend, Melinda, who is totally creeped out.

Apparently, there are multiple bats in our attic (please spare me the bats-in-the-belfry references).
Can we at least snicker? *snicker*

Maybe you need a professional to come in and get them out. You know some bats carrry rabies. Just a thought and you know how old women worry. Good evening to everyone else.

Geez, mom! I know she thought of it, but what if she hadn't? I'm sure Pumba would be worrying too if she read that.

Big L - Get a hotel tonight if the bats aren't gone!

My appointment went well. I'm 3cm and 50% effaced. Yay! I am so glad that all my misery has led to something at least. :lmao:

MORE BIRRTHDAY WISHES!!

:woohoo:

Lynette - :scared1:

MP - 50% effaced - :yay:

Lexi :yay::woohoo::dance3: Miss you - LY/MI! Hope all is well!

Marita - I need ot go back and read... that is some song you're singing!

DH was let go today... we're cryin in our beer... ok no cryin, no beer! We have wine - and we're toasting to "new beginnings" it sucks getting old!

DD has invited 2 gf to join her to my parents' lake home - but now with dh not having a job... :rolleyes1 but poor dd was looking forward to a few days sans parents!

Mom bought tickets for us to see Hair ("warning nudity on stage" :rotfl2:) ah the songs from Hair... "three five zero, zero... take weapons up and begin to kill - its a dirty little war...." or AQUARIUS... aquarius... (sing the brass part here...)

MommyP, yay for being on your way! Let the official waiting commence popcorn::

Sandy, sucks about DH's job, but good for you keeping a good attitude.
The song was per Lynettes request, I guess she deleted that part after she heard my singing voice, LOL

Lexi, good to see you around here.

WT, way to make friends! Are the purps bad this season?

Nothing much to report here today...

Melinda, I KNOW!!! The kids and I are totally creeped out too! Even though the 2 from last night never made it out of the attic....still waaaay too close for comfort (or restful sleep, FYI). DH had a guy come after suppah tonight to take a look and see what can be done. He instructed DH to hang a net bag of mothballs at the point of entry, since mothballs repel bats and will force them to vacate. He's coming back tomorrow with bat screening. Wish us luck!

Lynette - Where are the bats coming from?

Amanda, they're getting in where the front attic dormer meets the main roof. Apparently, there's a space behind the siding that they're hiding in, and some of them got in thru a tiny crack in that area. The good news is that DH and the guy were upstairs tonight and didn't see or hear any in the attic. Nor did they see any bat droppings (blech!), which is supposedly a great sign. The 3 we've seen this week were babies, and not yet able to fly. The guy told DH that the babies were born outside in that space behind the siding, and since they were so small, they were able to get inside.

BTW, YAY on your progress!

Only if you want a smack in the snoot! You're lucky you're my favorite crunchy veggie!

Hi Melinda. Hello to all the rest of you, including you DingBAT. I'm busy.

Clever as always, I see. Harumph!

Oh btw - dont close the hole where they come in w/o having an exit hole for the bats...

Thanks, Sandy. DH and the dude talked thru a whole plan for how to force the bats out of the attic and out of the hole behind the siding so that we can install bat screening. Luckily, DH is off tomorrow, so hopefully he'll be able to get everything squared away then.

Lex - Thanks for the birthday wishes!

L - Hope your hubby is able to secure the house against further bat invasions!

Hell, B! Hope you're having a little fun this summer.

Sandy - Sorry about your hubby's job :grouphug: Hope he can find a better one soon.

MommyP - Please keep us posted on your progress! Still thinking pink!!! Isa your neck feeling better?

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Hi Bruce. Glad to hear you're busy. Busy is good in this economy. If you're an expensive as my attorney you should be able to buy into Bay Lake Towers soon.

Lynette.....Expandable Spray Insulation. Stat.

Sandy.........Thanks. :hug::hug::hug:

Seize ya'll tomorrow. Have a good day!

What you don't want them using the front door? :rotfl:
MommyP - Please keep us posted on your progress! Still thinking pink!!! Isa your neck feeling better?

Yes my neck is better. It still is stiff and sore, but I only have severe pain if I move it just wrong.

I'm starting to be concerned about not being packed for the Birth Center. You have to bring your own things, blankets for the baby, clothes, diapers, a hat for the baby. I don't have any receiving blankets that are big enough for swaddling because we are usually in the hospital the first 2 days with their blankets and after that my babies usually have jaundice and have to spend their time nekkid by a window so we don't swaddle much. lol. I don't even have socks for the baby. I don't have anything that I need. :scared1: What if my due date is totally wrong and I could go any time now. I just don't know when I'll ever be able to get out to go shopping. Chad and I were supposed to have a date day on Saturday, but now my Mom has to take care of a friends young adult mentally handicap son. So...that's probably out. I don't have the energy to shop with all of them it's just toooooooo hot.

I don't even have a coming home outfit. :guilty: And I don't even have any clothes from home to use. lol. They are useless up in the attic.

This week is dragging on. Sorry to be a downer. lol. I am ready for the weekend so I'm not alone with the kids all the time with no one to talk to. :hippie:

MommyP, your hormones are running high I am sure neither you or the baby will go home naked or without needed things, it will all work out.

Good morning, Sunshines!!!

I've been so busy this morning, I just now had time to post a hello.

So I'm actually pondering one of my sister's ideas.
Celmama will be hurt - but I'm thinking of paying and letting Alli go to disney with me.
She has no money, so she won't be able to spend money on drinking - I'll control the purse strings AND the alcohol.
Hmmm.
It'll cost me a big chunk of change, but it would be better than going by myself and being lonely.
We'll see what I decide.

Busy , Busy , Busy.....

We are getting the floors put in the basement. Got the laundry room tile yestereday and I don't like it. Well I like the tile just not the way it was laid. Wanted a 45 angle in the washroom and in there but they didn't tell us that it would look really bad and off since the door way is on an angle to start with. I just want to cry because we spent alot of money on these tiles. The floor people are coming on Monday to see it but I am sure they won't do anything about it because I said I wanted it angled. :sad2: It make the walls look all crooked and when we put the washer/dryer back they look all croooked too.

My carpet is going and looks really nice , at least I did that right. It is so soft too. Better then the concrete that was done there....

I know you all want pictures , I would show you some but I have to have hubby put them in the computer I can go from there.

Celery-- That is nice that you would take your sister with you...why would your mom be mad....she wants to go?

Mommy P-- hope you get some clothes out of the attic soon. Sounds like you need them real soon.
