Nab - It was on facebook. It's a computer chair that I can move to my sewing machine for sewing. I'm usually out of commission for at least 2 days after spending a day sewing because I sit in a hard wood chair the whole time. This will be SO much better.

Now to order some fabric to start sewing for the baby. ;o)

Happy Birthday MommyP!

sorry i'm late...

BUT

Is it ever too late for some skanky birthday cake?:rolleyes1

I also got you your very own wool supply. (one in blue and one in pink...just in case!)

And after a long day of sewing, wifedom, and childdom, how about a relaxing massage?

Hope you had a wonderful day!!

MommyP- I hope you had the most wonderful 25th (wink wink) birthday EVAH. My birthday wishes on FB magically didn't post.:confused3 I have trouble with that sometimes. Usually it is no great loss.

I am just going to sign my name on the gifts the babynurse gave you. :rotfl:

I did check out your new baby fabric- the girl one is a lot like what I had for my girls (not the elephants, the cheater quilt). I was going to post a pic but I can't find any digitals of their room. I picked the fabric and my mom's friend made it for me as a gift. I had her pipe one in pink and the other in green. The dust ruffles and bumper pads matched the quilt piping- one was a green on green polka dot and the other a pink on pink polka dot. Also we lined the underside of the quilt in super soft flannel. That might not work for Florida babies but it was super comfy and snuggly. (And a good deal less spendy than minky). I love the brother-sister matchy non matchy quilts!

I hope your day was wonderful!! :cake:

BabyN - What nice gifts! You must really pay attention to my rantings about diapers and such. ;)

The Little Mermaid is actually my favorite Disney movie, skanky or not. :rotfl:

Twinkie -
I ordered the blue elephants and some other cool fabric to make a new more gender neutral shopping cart cover. Mine is blue with trucks on it. Not gonna fly if we have a girl. So this one will go either way, plus it's not babyish. I haven't gone ahead and ordered the blue quilt cheater yet though....I need to though. I need to see the polka dots in person so I can match it up with some cheapo joann polka dot fabric to make the crib skirt. I should be able to get my minky for a good price if I want to use a 40 or 50% off coupon at Joanns and just get all the same color. Sometimes my joanns has certain colors of minky on clearance. I've gotten it for $4.00 a yard. :cool1:

Happy Belated Birthday, Mommyp!

I got you an outfit for the new baby. Even if it's a boy. :lmao:

I also got you a pedicure to go with your massage

And a whole bunch of these!

you guys are so darn talented......so all I can do is wish a Happy Birthday and give you a pumba hug........

I am tired out.....

Went on a field trip with Hannah's class. Why I volunteered for this was I will never know. I got eaten by bugs. It was on the eco system. The class was all excited in the meadow because they thought they seen a toad. They chased it and it turned out to be a mouse. Not my favourite thing. Then of course we couldn't leave with out seeing a snake, actually two one alive and one dead the the people let the kids hold , I passed. From the meadow we went to the wet lands and then the forest where the bugs were really bad.

Nicholas bring a form home saying he was going to the forest in June....I don't think I will volunteer for this one. Unless of course he pleads me to go. Can't really go to one and not the other.

Then it was off to baseball tonight. We lost by one 9-8 . All was fine until the second last inning when Nicholas twisted his knee sliding into first base. Now he has a brace on it that we bought at the drug store. :sad2:

Nab, sounds like a long day...

I got nothing tonight. Long work day, 2 more long days ahead.

i reheated my 1 leftover red lobster imitation cheese bisquit (chesse is real) in the microwave. 10 seconds. it was good!
Here is the recipe if anyone cares. I was surprised, I thought the dough looked tiny, but it really fluffed up.
I think a nap is in order...............

http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,194,149162-241207,00.html

you have work clothes?

I saw that recipe, dil loves the biscuits, but I couldnt believe they could be good! thanks for telling me - maybe I'll surprise her and make them!

I'm such a reality watcher - one of the guys that she repels down a building in Canada is supposed to "quit" and most of the guys signed up for "face time" as the bachelerotte wasnt sure who it would be... :confused3

Jon and Kate - well keep in mind TLC is making buku bucks (as is J&K someone figured out if they only got $50,000 per episode, they would have 2 million by now! and they got a raise! ) and they are alerting media to where to find them - free publicity = HUGE RATINGS.... just so sad! very very sad...

Real Housewives of New Jersey - jaw dropping shocking... as in one HW got new furniture - $120,000 - how did she pay? credit card - oh no... store credit - definately NOT... debit card? check? nope... CASH - pure hard cash - all in 100 bills - WTH carries THAT much cash??? :confused3 (bravo Tues)

Hmmmmm . . . I won't put what I think, as it's not DIS friendly!

Sandy - My DD and I are thinking of getting together 4th of July weekend for a mother/daughter trip. Chicago is one of the places we're considering if I can find a decent rate at a hotel in a good location. I priced out Las Vegas, but it was pretty steep with two air fares.

Marita - Long day at work for me too. Pretty eventful, as compared to most first days back after a holiday! I managed to have something I wrote get through an edit-happy manager almost unbloodied today. I guess I'm finally figuring out how he wants things written.

Nabbie - That doesn't sound like a fun field trip for you, at all!!!

Allie - Sending prayers for a good recovery to your mom :grouphug:

Twink - How's summer break going so far??!

bbn - Nice birthday shopping :)

Good morning, all!
It's foggy here in the birthplace of lil g.
I've got more work to do.
Yesterday I found a 40,000 mistake from 2004. Now I just have to find the other 60,000! woo! :lmao:

Marita - I made those last night. Only I didn't use your recipe(just looked at it) but all the same ingredients. I was craving bisquick biscuits and decided at the last minute to throw in a TON of cheese and some garlic powder. They were yummy and thankfully there are like 8 left. ;o)

Jon and Kate
- So sad what they've done to their family for the sake of being famous. I think it's mostly her, she's such a witch. Every season she's gotten more and more disrespectful for John and he's the one who is always taking care of the kids. The only thing she ever does is talk down to him, yell and cook.

Moo go to betterbidding.com - I'll go copy some links, as that site can be overwhelming - but I always get a 4* hotel on Michigan Ave for $100 or less a night - keep in mind the parking is up to $50 a night (the garages have 24 hour service a bit less, maybe $36 - betterbidding had a thread about that! We always take the train into Chicago, then get a bus pass, so I jump on busses the whole time! LOVE IT!) How exciting!!

http://www.citypass.com/city/chicago.html?id=tWMnFzKD

amazing deal! The Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium (all in the same area - no streets just these museums) PLUS a pass to Sears Tower, and the Museum of Science and Industry (far south, but a spectacular museum!) all for $69! If you go shopping up to Water Tower Place - across the street is the John Hancock - dont pay to go up that observatory - instead get in line to go to the Cocktail lounge same view, but you can sit and drink a martini! (for less!) Across from Water Tower is Gharidelli Ice Cream (same as the one in DTD!)

So first I go to Hotels.com and check on hotel availability (if there is a Cub game, or convention, there is less inventory of hotel rooms, so it affects the bidding price under or over $100 to start) Hotels.com and Hotwire.com and I think Expedia.com are all owned by the same company... then I go to better bidding and check on how to bid - where there are "free bid zones"

http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showforum=87&
read some of the threads that have more than 2 posts, or read the threads that say need strategy help - and of course feel free to post and ask for help...

It's a rainy day here .... meaning no baseball tonight.

Don't think we could play anyway. Nicholas is still limping around so Hubby is taking him to the doctors after lunch. Good thing the school has an elevator because no way he could make it up to the second floor. He did our house stairs on his butt.

Sandy-- Sounds like you make a good tour guide. Love all the reality show tidbibts too.:goodvibes

Still have to get Hannah to swimming tonight. Wonder if you can swim with a bum knee? I'm guessing yes? Because testing is done today because our last swimming this session is next week.

CASH - pure hard cash - all in 100 bills - WTH carries THAT much cash??? :confused3 (bravo Tues)

drug dealers and their wives & girlfriends

Twink - How's summer break going so far??!

Summer is great so far. This week we have absolutely nothing and next week the whole camp/swimming lessons/kids sports craziness begins. Did I tell you guys that I am leading the opening singing/worship/skit and grand finale each day at VBS? The theme is Crocodile Dock (bayou not Australians in khacki shorts) so I need to head to goodwill this week to find an appropriate ensemble. :cool2:

I must have been skimming-Moo- what are you bidding on?
MP- this is from a long time ago- where did you get your high chair/booster seat? it looks like a wooden restaurant style one... that is exactly what I want and need. I found one online for $60. I am also in the market for bunkbeds for the boys room. Craigslist is full of furniture dealers pretending to be individuals. I have no problem with them using craigslist to advertise- but they are wasting my time. I will probably end up buying a new set but I was trying to find a deal since we are in no hurry whatsoever.

BBN-:cloud9::rolleyes1:laundy::idea::dance3:

PJ- are you done with school? on your way to return that uniform you "accidently" took home?

Lint- Whas up? any year end projects? Brownie graduation to plan and bake 40 gazillion bite size brownies?

Hi everybodee else!

Twinkadink: Hola.

Peej: Quit following me around. Hottie dentist called. He said "who was that freak????"

Lynt: I know that you know that I know that you know life is bizarre.

MP: Glad you liked your presents. And as far as your sewing, I hang on your every word. duh.

Celery: I havent got to say behave in a long time. So behave. or not.;)

Moo: How are you and the dh feeling?

Marita: Do you miss real German beer?

Sandy: Did you throw any lemons at anybody yet?

Allie: Life is crazy here too.

Nab: Please keep your rain up north. TIA!

Mony: Go red wings. or did I miss something already?

Everybodee else: Sup?

Was that a great shout out or what? yeah, I know. or what.

Julia got her permit yesterday. She starts drivers ed next week. *sigh*. I'm much too young to feel this "darn" old.

I'm off to work and then to play the piano. yes, you heard right. our piano player at church had to have heart surgery. i'm the backup. and yes, twink, i'm still playing. with no end in sight.:guilty:

I guess that's all for now. Y'all have a good day.

It's almost the most wonderful time of the year! That's when our kids are out of school for the summer, right? Or am I confused?

p.s. Julia is begging me to go swimsuit shopping. for BOTH of us. gulp.

Twink - You're leading the opening singing/worship/skit and grand finale each day at VBS? Yikes!!! How brave of you! I'm sure you'll find the perfect ensem-blay :) Of course, we'll expect to see a photo!

I'm trying to figure out where to go over the 4th of July weekend for a mother/daughter getaway. One of the places Mari suggested was Chicago, so I may have her fly into O'Hare if she thinks she can take the train into the city because I really don't want to drive out there to pick her up :scared:

So . . . I've been trying to find a hotel we could stay at, that's why Sandy suggested a couple places to try. Right now, I'm leaning toward a Sheraton that is all non-smoking. But it is rather pricey and I know that Sandy is right about the parking being expensive. That may put the Las Vegas trip back under consideration

bbn - Do you need some horsey blinders to wear while riding with Julia??! Have fun with your shopping :thumbsup2 Of course, we'll expect to see a photo!

Hubby and I are doing great - he's finally getting past his abdominal pain. I noticed he was eating some string cheese last night (a couple days early - hopefully his staple line is sufficiently healed). I guess he is just desperate to get on with his next phase of eating. He has not followed the eating plan strictly like I have, but being male, I'm sure he will still lose way faster than I have. !%@$ men!!! I've been stalled again for the past few days, so I'm going to try lower calories and ultra low carb eating for a few days until I hit the 60 lb mark. I had some shrimp for lunch. They're very high protein, no carbs, and low calories.
