Things I have Actually Done For Good Candy

1. Be nice to overly huggy relatives.

2. Taken candy from a baby.

3. Answered questions in an 8 am graduate level genetics class at the risk of sounding snobby. Participation was lack luster so the teacher started handing out full sized snickers bars for good answers. I had snickers for breakfast quite a bit that semester.

4. Gone door to door on Halloween in costume. Even though I don't like talking to people I don't know.

5. Cultivated friendships with co-workers who keep candy jars on their desk.

6. Saved my meager earnings as a child to buy gummy worms, Lick-n-dips and chocolate bars at the dime store while on vacation.

7. Used a snack credit while on the dining plan.

8. Skipped lunch.

9. Took babysitting jobs for families with well stocked junk food cupboards.

10. Well, this one time.... at math camp......

I know I am behind but you forgot: make friends with Canadians on a message board.

Peej - That's just plain wrong to send your kid to school skunked. How horrible. Poor little thing. I don't envy your job that's for sure, I'd never want to be a teacher....oh wait... My little cousin soon a first time teaching job in Queens, she's making $60,000 a year, totally not worth the daily physical and verbal abuse she's getting from SECOND graders.

Maybe your cousin has mutant children, but keep in mind I have thugs as well. However, they're still 8 year old kids. I don't tolerate physical and verbal abuse. Believe me, they've tried. Even my most thug-ish thugs can be controlled. I wouldn't trade my job. To each his own I guess.

Dedication worthy. PJ's raising the bar.

Keep being nice to me and I might even throw in a diet coke and a snickers bar. How's THAT for raising the bar?

I got something for the How to Dress Like a Thug chapter today. One of my kids had on a shirt that said "An awkward morning beats a boring night." Now come on. That's wildly inappropriate. I went over to him and asked him what his shirt meant, hoping to goodness he was going to say I don't know! His reply: "I don't know, but my mom said it's hilarious and it's going to be even funnier when my six year old brother wears it next week." COME ON, PEOPLE!!!!

I had lunch with Cel today, and knitfreak and Asst. #2 joined us. We had a nice lunch at Beaches and Cream. It was kind of funny, I said them, this is Celerystalker, and this is knitfreak. Well, I intended to say that, but I said Knitwit, LOL. Then Glinda introduced herself, saying, Hi, I'm Asst. #2. It was kind of funny.

More than likely we will lose one of them to be redeployed somewhere else, as our region is fully staffed, to fill spots somewhere else.

I think Cel only plans to check in online a couple of times during her stay due to having to pay for internet.

Lynt, she said to tell you that someone said they still make the pin, matter of finding one.

In other news, we were told this morning that our monthly forecast that was always due noon on Thursday is now being moved to noon on WEDNESDAY! You know how busy and stressed at times I got before, now it;s going to be worse. PLUS the added another forecast and explanation file on top of that for Conventions. So now, with having both conventions and DVC, I have 3 things due at the same time a day early, while a simple operation like POP has 1, and they have very little complexity. NO FAIR!

Anyway, apparently this was prompted by us now reporting to a new VP who is in California. He is used to getting forecasts earlier. Well, Disneyland is a lot smaller and less complex and differently organized than here. But did anyone push back? NOOOOO!

Found out today that one of the people we were told was moving with the reductions actually got demoted to my level. He was my boss' level before. But what I found very odd and awkward is that he was left in Resorts Finance, thus he now reports to his former peer. Feels very wrong, I think they should have moved him to some other spot in the company.

That's all I got for tonight. Gotta go find some dinner....


ETA: Talked to DS tonight. He is now on base at Vandenberg, CA, 3rd biggest AF base. Apparently it's huge. He said they have Coyote, groundquirrels, something else and rattle snakes. So some years ago, they brought in pigs, because pigs scare off rattlers. But it appears that pigs like the low ground and rattlers the high ground. So now they have BOTH a rattler AND a pig problem. And he said it was fine to go out hunting for pigs in certain areas. He didn't seem too fond of that thought though....

I am like Sandy I have a lot of hafta stuff to do today since we left hubby alone for a few day.

Also have to get Hannah ready for Brownie camp. She is pretty excited. And Nicholas has a dance tonight so they both are on top of the world.

Both want a piece of clothing that is in the wash so I guess I better start with that.

Tim has been gone all week and finally comes home today. He should be landing about now. He started in Seattle and from there Minnesota and now home.

Working on the 4 chapters of review questions I had to do in psych and 4 excel assignments from computers. Spring Break my butt.

Both of my brothers left for WDW today. For some reason, they didn't offer to take the bbn brood with them.

Maybe I'll tell them to look for a crunchy green ninja veggie.
