I KNOW, Marita! Rude of real life, no?

Well, it gets worse, my friends. I'm quite saddened to report that the long-suffering laptop has finally crossed the Rainbow Bridge. (or whatever that euphemism is) Shortly after my last post, there was a nearly-inaudible click, and my old friend shut off. Repeated attempts to restart have resulted in only frustration and the dreaded black screen.

So right now I'm at the family desktop, amid the detritus left here by my DH and the kids. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain, I truly do!

Get CBM to buy you a new one with his discount posthate!! Time's awasting!!!!!!!!!!!

Mega-fun drivel and dreck day! :) Took me a while to catch up.

So, bbn . . . did you get highspeed? Forgive me if I speed-read over that part.

Welcome back, Lynette! So sorry about your laptop - I'm pretty happy that I replaced mine before something like that happened :scared:

Busy day at work today. But tomorrow is my first day of telecommuting!!! :cool1: It took me a while this evening to pack up all the stuff I'll need for tomorrow.

Cel - So I take it that Ben's not being a putz about the job change?! Arghh on the work move.

And, Twink . . . Who did put the FUN in fungus? :confused3

I voted for Danny.

yada yada yada, blah blah, blah and stuff.

I've gotta go see some stuff about a man.

Get thee to a computery!

LOL, Cel!

Rant of the day:

So I went through endless news conferences about the Casey Anthony case that preempted my recording of Divorce Court (which I watch (half watch while working) from 5-6 when I get home.

OK, that was a big case. Today, it was preempted for a news conference about some baseball player taking drugs. WTH?????? They cant just report that on the news???????

RE: Missing Moovers, where are DTD, BH and Robin hiding out? Did Pumba get lost at the camp she was checking out?

Smencils are smelly pencils. Speaking of smelling things, a kindergartner ripped the longest fart today at story time. It was so long, we actually had to acknowledge it and ask if he felt ok. :rotfl: How I managed without LoLing is a mystery!

Hoello Moovers (yes that is a typo, but I kind of like it;) )

smencils are sold here - and

it could be worse - it wasnt you rippin the cheese!!

Hi MTK! Nice to see you!

So are you going to do a PTR? HUH? Are ya? popcorn::

In other trip report news, Nebo either is going or just got back, not sure, and will be posting a new report.

Zzub is going to do an outtakes report on his blog.

Campbellscott finally found her passporter and will be posting soon.

And of course Great Biscuit i still posting his trip down memory lane while anticipating a summer trip.

Yes, I have no life beside work, honestly!

thanks for catchin me up Marita!@@

BTDT - hate it - note I can get online at a library - or after midnight! sometimes in the afternoon in the basement - - - sometimes!

Cel - So I take it that Ben's not being a putz about the job change?! Arghh on the work move.

Ben's being great. He's trying to convince my old boss that he needs my help.
My new boss is a complete putz.
I knew I'd get put under him eventually - it really made no sense for me to be my own department, but he's one of those that never gives a straight answer and loves secrecy.

Oh well.
I'm very very very thankful that I have a job - even if it isn't the job I want.

I'm up early and all ready to go to work at my new assigned hours.
But I can't go.
Riley poo poo head tore his nail last night and I need to run him by the vet to have his nails trimmed.
:sad2:
I've tried over and over to trim them myself, but he won't have it.
Me and Breadman have even wrestled him to the ground to do it - doesn't work.
Mamacel tries to love him and sweet talk him into not twisting his leg off - doesn't work.
Last time mamacel and the vet had to work together to get it done.
I'm hoping I can just drop him off and the vet will take care of it.
and mamacel will pick him up later.
we'll see.
I'm gonna go stalk the vet!
They aren't scheduled to open for an hour, but I'm hoping they'll be there early.

My guess would be Gus.

Bad joke I know but don't care.

Ouch on the puppy's toe nail Cel. Poor thing. Hope they are there early for you.

I was wondering where you were yesterday Lynette.

What's with you ladies and the men? Hmmm? Services, secret meetings.....what's become of this place?

Well, carry one, have a great Tuesday? Isn't it Fat Tuesday?

I wonder how well that claw file thing works? As seen on TV thingamado? The puppies in commercial always look happy!

I have to deliver a buttload of Girl Scout cookies today and the cookie mom left out three boxes from my order. I hope she will give them to me. This is the first time my girl has ever sold cookies. They were so secretive about the drop off, they should really have Cookie Moms run Obama's security detail.

I had to sign off on the delivery like I was buying a car or a house, so I hope she doesn't get mad at me for being short.

Moo: No highspeed here yet.

Lynt: It's about time you showed your sorry self 'round these parts. Sorry about the laptop.

Hi everybody. Happy Hump Day.

Well the snow has found us again. And since Pumba hasn't been here to say it I will "I HATE SNOW! ".

Great entertaining posts yesterday. :thumbsup2

Lynette -- the kids have a break in Feb. Do they get another one in March or April. Ours break is in March. Sorry about the laptop.

I have been caught up in all the reality shows of late. Idol was terrible last night. Have not watched Nip/Tuck yet because it isn't on here yet. I thought it started last week but it must be sometime in March it starts because I can't find it in the listings now.

Mony-- you are doing really well with the games. I have tried to back away for a bit. Only really play one over there now. Hubby laughs at me and asked me how many times have I played that game.

mtk - I wonder how that nail thingamabob works too - but I know my riley pup. he's too much of a princess: it would scare him!

babycow - I watched nip tuck. it was definitely WOW.

I think I need to give it an ode in smilie
:scared: :sad1: :hippie: :hippie: :headache:     :lovestruc :sad1: :flower3:

I see you over there from time to time, I have such an addictive personality when it comes to games and high scores. I-must-win-them-all! (insert evil laugh)

Then BBN comes along and throws a monkey wrench in my evil plans.............

Alrighty, somebody sent this to me in an email. I'm supposed to share it with 10 people, and since we kinda sorta talked about "country" people yesterday I thought I would post it here. Monica feel free to spit after you read this. I highlighted some things that pertain to y'all. Or feel free to skip, if there are too many words.

1. Pull your pants up. You look like an idiot.

2. Turn your cap right, your head ain't crooked.

3. Let's get this straight: it's called a 'gravel road.' I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're gonna get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.

4. They are cattle. That's why they smell like cattle. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don't like it? I-80 & I-90 go east and west, I-25 & I-15 goes north and south. Pick one and go.

5. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. We have $250,000 Combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year.

6. Every person in the country waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.

7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of geese/pheasants/ducks/doves are comin' in during the hunts, we WILL shoot it outa your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.

8. Yeah. We eat trout, salmon, deer and elk. You want sushi and caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop.

9. The 'Opener' refers to the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.

10. We open doors for women. That's applied to all women, regardless of age.

11. No, there's no 'vegetarian special' on the menu. Order steak, or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham and turkey.

12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup! Oh, yeah . . We don't care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat . . IT AIN'T REAL CHILI!!

13. You bring 'Coke' into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring 'Mary Jane' into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.

14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Giants, the Yankees, the Mets, the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.

15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards - it spooks the fish.

16. Turn down that blasted car stereo TWINKIE & LYNT-you and your gansta rap! That thumpity-thump crap ain't music, anyway. We don't want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1!

A true Country person will send this to at least 10 others and a few new friends that probably won't get it, but we're friendly so we share in hopes you can begin to understand what a real life is all about!!!

I liked your ode to nip/tuck with smilies Cel.

How about a nip/tuck haiku.

Poor Dr. Christian
so misunderstood is he.
Let's give him a hug.

Just got done giving the cat a bath. I know...you aren't supposed to give baths to cats. But I've been doing it once a week to kill the fleas until the Frontline came. (It came today, just after her bath, perfect timing.) Fleas make cats dirty with flea crap. It's disgusting. I picked like a million dead fleas off her. Thank GOODNESS she is mostly white with just light grey feet and tail. It makes finding those little buggers SO easy. I made it through without a scratch this time! Woot!

For those interested I made an appointment for Chad and I to tour the birth center and talk with the midwife. I suppose I'll make my first patient appointment from there. I am excited to see the place in person. There is a required health and nutrition class(free) that all new patients have to take. Also a breastfeeding class(also free). I wonder if I could be exempt from that one. Wouldn't it be a HOOT to go and nurse Isaac while I was there? LOL!!!

Anyhoo, I've got a heck of a headache today. 14 weeks pregnant and I am still feeling the effects of the 1st trimester. It sucks.

Also good news! I ordered a camera yesterday! I have been SO lost without one for so long now! Chad did a side job and gave me $100 to get one(thank googness for Amazon.com) I got a canon powershot A590. Nothing fancy, but better than my cell phone. ;)

In other news Isaac plays "punch bug" now. Complete with little 13 month old words(punch bug) and punching all around. lol

Mommy P-- I think you have the breastfeeding down pat. :lmao: You should be teaching the class. Are you still breastfeeding? I guess he is still not that old, now if it was your oldest....All these babies have you stopped breastfeeding in between. Does that mean you get your ultrasound now.

Poor Dr. Christian
so misunderstood is he.
Let's give him a hug.

I'd like to give him more than a hug!

(eyebrow waggle smilie that babycow dug up for me that one time but that I don't have saved)

I got free thai today.
Awww yeah. Cuz ben is being a good friend.
He told the lady from the temp agency that's trying to schmooze him (and do other things to him - eyebrow smilie- )that he and I are going to be working as partners - so she took us both out to lunch!
:woohoo:
