Mony, hope things get better soon. I feel for you.

Moo, I need a haircut so badly. My hair is way too long. I am just always too lazy to go out to get it cut. I think its been at least 6 months since I had one. If I had a short style like you, I would be in serious trouble. Therefore, I have no style to speak of, LOL. I usually just hit a Quick Cuts place. I might go this afternoon if I can get myself in the shower before they close. Or NOT.

It's overcast today, I dont feel like going out.

And I just put the uncooked chicken livers in the freezer. And DD just then called to say she is coming for the leftovers tonight.

PS: I called DS to see how he is doing, and he told me about DD complaining to him about not calling about the chicken livers earlier yesterday. WTH? : She had a date on Valentines Day! Why would I think she'd come over for dinner?


You'd think chicken livers are more precious than gold. And i hadnt made them in years.....


ETA: DD came over and pronounced said golden chicken livers way too sour creamy. How can anything be too sour creamy?????????

Oh well, more left for me!

Poor little Isaac is running a fever today. He actually fell asleep in my arms today, which he has never done before. Poor baby!

For all the little ones and big ones too that are sick.

We went out as a family for Valentines day dinner. Went to Boston Pizza and had a heart shaped pizza ( I am not as talented as Sandy to make my own). When we came out to get in my car someone had keyed the driver side from the back door to the fender.

Marita-- my mom used to make liver all the time, don't know if it was chicken or not. I didn't eat it. I am terrible at trying new things. And yes we gave Moo all the pate when we were in Frankenmuth.

Sandy-- great shopping, Hannah wanted to go out today but I was too lazy.

I too am waiting for Amazing Race to come on tonight.

Tomorrow is Family Day here in Canada so everything will be closed and kids will be home from school.

I called DS today. He was working on a briefing for work (AF), well, training really. I asked what is that background noise, TV? He said no, I am at Starbucks

Not that there is anything wrong with that....

I am either going to eat something or take a nap or none of the above.

I washed and dryed and hung up my work clothes, dishes are done, carpets are vacuumed, I am showered. I am DONE!!!

I just finished watching Secret Life of Bees. I read the book and couldn't really get into it like my friends did, but I thought the movie was done pretty well. I didn't realize that Alicia Keys was in it.

I miss our Sunday night calls with DD. The phone reception at her new place isn't very good

Gloomy day here. How's the weather in Orlando, Marita? The cool front is coming in so it's warm and humid and cloudy. I hope we get some rain! I can't complain though, the last couple of days have been perfect. Clear blue sky, low humidity, 80 degrees.

We went to the beach on Saturday, which was a total waste of time and gas. It was amazing when we got there, no clouds at all. An hour later that weird sea fog came in and we had to leave. Two blocks from the beach the sun was out, by the time we got back inland to home there were NO clouds. So we sat in our beach chairs in the front yard. I sat out yesterday too while Isaac was napping. So I got my tan on. Yay!

So now this week is going to be cooler which will be welcome. It's so nice to not have to use the AC.

What's up with everyone?

Isaac isn't running a fever anymore. I'm glad he seemed to get it without the headache. The other boys were miserable with a headache for 2 days.

Gotta get school together and head over to my parents. It's visiting day. lol


Lil G Good thinking on your gift. We don't usually do V-Day. It makes it more special if one year he actually does get me something, which is usually just a sweet card. But my Mom had the boys secretly make cards for me. That was sweet!

Hannah has been watching a Hannah Montana marathon on the family channel today. They are finally on the last one. It has been on since 12:30 , until 6.

For a family day and most people are off today all I did all day was this

Where has Pumba been? That baby finally wear her out. Maybe she will come back when we have another snow storm coming...that will be Wed. We all know she loves snow.

Moo-- we haven't got any of the white stuff yet. Did you have the day off for Presidents Day? Who gets this holiday? We have Family Day and everyone is off.

Nabbie - Be thankful the snow didn't get that far northeast!!! I had today off. I think most government workers have it off as well as people who work at banks and teachers (mid-winter break)

I had a doctor's appointment at 8:30 this morning, so I didn't get to sleep in. But I did come home and take a little nap Then this afternoon, I met a friend who I hadn't seen for years after finding her through her sister on Facebook. We met at Panera for a late lunch and had a great visit. We plan to get together periodically now that we've gotten caught up again!

I'm bACK. Long day today. We had school today as one of our make up days. It was originally supposed to be parent-teacher conference day, but instead the kids came so it could count as an instructional day. I had conferences this morning from 7:30-9am, then taught all day, then had conferences from 4-7pm. My 8pm conference cancelled so I got to come home a little early. Tomorrow I have the same schedule...first conference at 7:30. Just wanted to check in. Hope everyone had a nice weekend and hope all the sick people get better asap!

Wow, Peej - Sounds like a super busy day! And week!!! Glad to hear you could make up some time the kids were out though.

How was your time off?

Marita - Yes, I really enjoyed seeing my long lost friend! She's a couple years older than I am, but we were in band together and lived in the same neighborhood for a while when we were in school. Sounds like her son will be going into the Army, but she's not too happy about it.

Lynette has been MIA, but we've played a few moves on Lexulous. L - I started a new game!

Hope Pumba is well and not too pooped from caring for the little one!

Did anyone watch Psych and Monk??? Psych was AWESOME - a Friday the 13th ( it was shown on Friday 13 too!!)

What a yummy dinner, steak and augratin I admit I love Psych,the show used to annoy the heck out of me, but I love it now. Its nice seeing familiar places once in a while. Monk is very clever. I"m going to miss the show once the final finale' airs. I hope they end the show on a high note.

Amazing Race - oh my gosh - I had tears in my eyes when Phil signed to Luke they were team #1 - do understand how much a skill it is to read lips - how some words 'sound alike' (I had a spelling test and I can remember pearl vs...?? but f, s, p z they all look alike! sound alike!

oh well - my mind is on vacation - tomorrow I'll go back to worrying....

Sandy & Little Blue - I cried at the finish of Amazing Race when that mother/son team won! I also cried when the last team checked in. I always feel bad for those that get voted off first. I'm such a sap!

Oh, and there was a local girl on the Bachelor. I haven't watched it, but have heard through friends that she got sent home before he got to visit their hometown's. The girl from Huntsville's husband was killed in an airplane crash along with his brother. They are naming our new Y after both of the brothers.

Oh, and remember my court case that I got rejected as a juror. They found the guy guilty of sexual misconduct , but not kidnapping. Sounds like the girls were running away from home temporarily. Glad I wasn't chosen.
