OK people, this was easier said than done - but I may have been successful uploading some wedding pics!! (DH wouldnt let me on his gmac and my camera has over 1400 pics, and so that was a problem...)

Since the girls were having champagne, I went up to DS room to have a toast (sans hair and makeup eww I hope this doesnt scare anyone!)

her darling pooch was supposed to be in our room - our rooms were across the hall - so anytime our door opened Odie would run and try and get in his mama's room - this time he was successful - totally unplanned!

I truly HATE the way my hair and makeup came out - I should've done a trial runthru - but considering the time - I shouldnt complain - I just dont look like "Me"

anyone familiar with the "lasso" ceremony? Truly a loving ceremony - reminding them about Christ being at the center - it looks like a rosary, but this is a Mexican tradition - not Catholic...

Love the lighting here - but its a funny moment because the photographer gets her shots and then I said "keep your lips together a bit longer for my pic please" DS said he couldnt believe I said that!

Cel - what a pic of Jessica Simpson - its hard for me as an old time C&W (Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, The Judds, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys... *sigh) to warm up to these "pretty young'uns" Altho I do admire Leann Rhimes!!

Nab - it was a one piece dress - full length - the top part did look like a top with the beading - but it was an all inoner - the funny thing the Bride's Mom wore a purple dress - and dh said, "it seems to me I've seen that dress - did I like it?" It was a dress I tried on a few times at David's Bridal - but I didnt think purple would look right!! but I kept dragging dh to DB while I thought about it!!

Also, in a completely unrelated subject, b/c that is what I am known for....I would like to say that sour cream and cheddar chips are divine. I used to kinda sorta like sour cream and onion chips EXCEPT I HATE onions, so the aftertaste was beurk-worthy. But the new sour cream and cheddar? That's a chip I can really sink my teeth into. Whomever thought of that combo, must be a freakin' genius.

I often eat just those chips for dinner. And sometimes for lunch. Actually, I'm pretty sure I've eaten them for breakfast. I had cheezits for breakfast this morning. Yes, I am well known for my healthy eating habits?

Sandy...great pics! Do we ever get to actually know when your birthday is?

I started the day off with 26 kids. By dismissal I had...wait for it....wait....SIXTEEN!!!!!! One of my kids commented, "they're dropping off like flies!" All of the ones I sent home had temperatures over 100 so their parents were required to pick them up. TEN kids! It was insane. I think I spent most of my day sending kids down to the office, calling parents, and getting packets of make-up work together. All in all, a fun time was had by all. Now we get to see which tool bag parents send their sick kids back tomorrow to infect the rest of us.

My favorite moment of the day....
Show and tell. This one kid is so "unique." He's really special. To put it nicely. He's really very strange. Anyway, he informs us that he'll be doing a listen and tell rather than a show and tell. Uhhhh....okay? So then he starts crawling around the room on his knees going EEEEEEVVVVAAAA? Eeeeeevvvva? Then it hit me. I definitely screamed "you're wall-e!!!!!!" at an unacceptable volume. It was just so cute. Listen and tell. Hee hee hee.

OH WAIT...I had another favorite moment of the day!! When I was driving home, as I was crossing the bridge, I saw the most beautiful rainbow!! *sigh*

My DD was feeling a little stressed and sore form lugging all her stuff when she moved recently, so I told her to go get a massage as an early Valentine's gift from me. She went for a hot stone massage. Sounds like she felt better afterward. I just stuck a card in the mail for her tonight with a check to cover the massage.

Well, the wind is still blowing here!! I just got my power back. It was off for about 3 hours. I went to the gym to entertain myself. All the traffic lights were out, which was interesting.

Perhaps you should call the teacher at 10:30 at night. That just reminded me of a story I now feel the need to tell. A couple weeks ago one of my kids got sick so I called her mom to come get her. I couldn't get a line out so I used my cell phone to call the mom. About a week later I get a call from a number I didn't know around 10:30pm.
Mom: "Hi, Miss Lauren, this is ________'s mom. We're having trouble with the perimeter homework."
LONG PAUSE
Me; "Um, if you don't mind me asking, how did you get my number????"
Mom: "Well, when you called the other week to have me pick _________ up, I noticed you must be using a cell phone so I saved your number in my phone for future reference!"
Great idea, lady.
Anyway, I hope the homework gets figured out. For real!
