MommyP - Have you heard anything from Medicare yet? Sorry if I missed it.

Nope. I keep checking my account online. It still says,"Processing verification needed" meaning the 4 weeks of check stubs. Which I sent 2 weeks ago tomorrow.

And they canceled 3 of the boys medicaid also, one of which has had a headache now for 1 and a half days. So hopefully that goes away, I hate to see the bill for that appointment. :guilty:

MP, goog luck with the Medicaid stuff, that sounds very frustrating!

Lynt, YAY on hubby going back to work. Mine is sick since yesterday, but he did go to work today.

Pumba, pixiedust: for this camp working out for you.

BBN, EWWW about those :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Cel, what's the strategy behind inviting Breadmans BFF out for a drink?

Mony, yay for the baby feeling better.

Twinks, how did class go yesterday? No news on the knitfreak front today. I guess the finacee stayed out of jail and other trouble

MTK, thanks for stopping in again. Everyone who hasnt read her trip reports, please do, very funny.

Not much new here.

For the last few months, we have had to fill out a timesheet each week (by day) on what we spend out time on. Our director wants us to spend more time analyzing the business (to come up with 5 creative ideas to improve business results by $150K a year, remember that fun objective?). So today they decided we spend too much time on reporting, so now we have to do a report on what reports we do and why and how important is it, etc.

Yes, a new report to report on reporting! :rolleyes2

No Face Book for Dummies YET! But Amazon sent me an email about which other books I might be interested in based on my order. I just want to GET my order!!

I might make some chicken fricassee for suppah tonight. Or at least cook the chicken , we'll see.

Lexi and Wendy Lou, we miss you!

Everone!

Wahooooo, Moovers! As if today being Friday wasn't enough, today my prayers were answered! My DH went back to work! :cool1: Whew! I managed not to bludgeon him with a frying pan....what fortitude and restraint I have! I am DANG proud of myself!

Twink, ITA about there not being many school days in February....my little dahlings have vacation the week of Presidents' Day. Not sure why schools in the Northeast need a week off in February, but that's how it goes.

LilBlue, tell us more about this laptop....some of us are actually in the market for a new one. popcorn::

Mony, glad Maddy's antibiotics are finally kicking in!

Pumba, hope the third time's the charm in your search for a camp!

Hi to Cel, MTK, BDG, and MommyP! :wave2:
Dh's taking a nap, but I'll get the info from him when he awakes.

:rotfl2:

People are seriously stupid. You know what's going to happen when/if Obama can't produce the miracles he promises? They'll blame Bush. :lmao:
You betcha, you are absolutely correct!

oh goodness, I hope it this gets resolved quickly and cheaply for ya ;)

I've got a question for ya'll: I have not been able to sleep well since new years. I wake up either at 4-5am and stay up for 2-3 hours, not fall asleep after 2am, or I'll have a mixture of both problems- not sleep 'til 2am or so and then wake up at 4 or 5 and not get back to sleep 'til 2-3 hours later. Here's your chance to psycho analyze me, what's wrong with me?! I've never had this problem even before little TJ was born or after. I did have my 36th bday though.

Getting older messes you all up. Have you tried benedryl? I take it every night to sleep. I get through a whole day not thinking at all, but at night I try and solve every problem in bed in the dark. :sad2:

The kids and I were busy creating things in the snow- check out our version of Mickey ears.

My children even created chairs and couches out of snow, they had a blast!

I dunno. My answer to everything sleep trouble related involves Nyquil.

Yes, I am beyond thrilled!

No, havent heard anything

Actually, that would be an excellent accompaniment for chicken fricassee. But I think i'll just save the whole thing for tomorrow, since I have no asparagus. So I am making another Chicago roll....

Hola, Moovers. How are we all on this lovely Friday evening?

Peej is my favorite poster today.
::yes::
What about today? Am I still your favorite today? What about forever? Am I your forever fave??? Huh?? HUH?????

L...your post disappeared off the face of the dis. I swear I quoted you. Maybe the dis really is screwy and the bbn is right. But that would mean bbn was right, and we just can't have that, now can we? All I wanted to say was glad to hear DH is bACK at work. I think I got distracted.

Peej - Love your FB status :lmao:
I got several texts about that status. Ha! It's like people were afraid to comment on it because it was so very strange. :lmao:
p.s. how was dinner with your sister?

It is a "professional development" day here on the prairie. Which means I am home with all my darling children while the teachers ponder on how to tell me they are freakin' geniuses next week at the conferences. Of course they don't go to school for the conferences. Or presidents day. In fact, February doesn't seem to have many school days.:confused3
I would be willing to bet money that they spent time walking around aimlessly, eating donuts or other assorted pastries, and gossiping about their students. I would bet my paycheck, even. And we got paid today, so it's not even half spent yet!

Twink, ITA about there not being many school days in February....my little dahlings have vacation the week of Presidents' Day. Not sure why schools in the Northeast need a week off in February, but that's how it goes.
Hey look, now you're quoted! Perhaps it's me that's crazy and not the dis afterall. :scratchin Not likely, I know. ;) Just to clarify, you get Christmas break, then Feb. break, then a spring break??? What about an Easter break? Do you get that?

and while we are on the subject of :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
someone sent me this link.(bbn's are interested in this kind of thing)

wow. That is CRAZY. Can you believe someone would do that? and perhaps find it attractive? it is sad, imho.

http://www.nbcnewyork.com/around_town/the_scene/Breast-Implants-Set-World-Record-.html
That is the most bizarre thing I have seen all day. WOAH. That reminds me....Paco has all 4 paws declawed. When my aunt (who gave him to me) initially took him to the vet they went on and on about how no cat is supposed to have all 4 paws declawed. They're just supposed to do the front 2. The vet said there are very few reasons a person could need a cat with all 4 paws declawed but one of them was because you have breast implants!!! Like the cat was going to poke them and they would burst!! Now I'm not sure if I believe that but now when we see someone walk by and we're trying to decide if they're implants we say "4 paw declaw?" :rotfl: Should I have kept that story to myself?

The kids and I were busy creating things in the snow- check out our version of Mickey ears.

I love that Mickey!!! That is so awesome!!

It was super warm here today, too, Twink. I think we stayed outside for a goog 40 minutes for recess. It was so nice!

Here's your question for the evening: what do you send to school for your child's birthday. Today for a birthday a mom sent 2 (yes, TWO) cupcakes per child, an ice cream cup, a juice box, and a thing of pringles. Absurd, I tell you. When I got it all ready to pass out it looked like a freakin buffet.

Also, my friend's hamster had babies today and then ate them. Luckily it happened while the kids were at recess. :crazy2: I'll leave you on that note.

No Face Book for Dummies YET! But Amazon sent me an email about which other books I might be interested in based on my order. I just want to GET my order!!

Did you get the Free Shipping? If so, those always take longer for some reason. Yeah, it's free, but boy are you gonna wait for it.

MP - So sorry for all your troubles. Good thing you have done this before, so you know how to properly nourish your growing little one, but c'mon folks she needs to see her midwife already! ::yes:: Man, you would think they would be more competent than that. Take away coverage for 3 precious boys. They shouldn't have even touched theirs, should they? Ok, I'm angry with you! That's ridiculous!

I had to be the two year old teacher today. :p Ms. Allie had to take a treat. The little girl came into the classroom from lunch and proceeded to get the book that I was going to read them, after potty time, and wrinkle it all up. I asked the other teacher if that was worthy of taking a treat, and she said, "if they destroy our property, they definitely lose a treat!" :rotfl2: I find this amusing because I didn't really think it was done with that intent, but this little girl does have sharing issues. Anyway, she sat in time out for a while, and then I asked her why she was there, and she looked at me like....:confused3 . Now Ms. Allie told her at the beginning of said time out why she was there. Well, that irritates Ms. Allie just a bit. I then asked her what she should say to me. Again, :confused3 . Well, it was like pulling teeth to get her to say sorry. :sad2: She even did this.... . Well, sorry, you will apologize for getting a book that you weren't even supposed to touch in the first place, and then bend it up. I guess I was a MEAN teacher today. :rolleyes2

You gotta come back so I can wash that thought out of my mind! The mom in me wants to know, how many babies are there? Glad it was warm where you are too. All the snow I've been complaining about is going to melt soonish :(. So sledding down our front yard for a while, bummer).

Note to self: Benadryl, Nyquil... I'm keeping a running list of things to knock myself out.

How are all your classes going PJ?

Peej, never heard of hamsters eating their babies. EWWWWWWWWWWW!!

What did your friend do to that poor thing? And how did she/it get pregnant in the first place? Was there a mating ceremony?

Was it witnessed by the class?

Inquiring minds want to know......

LBlue - Love your mickey head! :earboy2: wish we could get enough snow to make a mickey head, seat, and sofa. :goodvibes

Peej - That is GROSS! :crazy2: I know it is a part of nature, but YUCKY!!!

Yep, I've seen that type of child too, not mine, but at our church daycare. Your little one sounds like an angel.... not! How's this child going learn remorse is what I want to know.

Yep, we'll make 'em and ship them for free, look for our Ebay listings to a auction near you. :upsidedow

Find my happy place, find my happy place
.... I gotta get that hamster thought out of my mind!

Allie, no, no free shipping. I bought a "used like new" book. It's just frigging late!

Sorry about your kid trouble. Made me think of my DD when she was in school, she forever got in trouble for chatting in class...

I know it's not related, but it reminded me.

TGIF!

I guess I was a MEAN teacher today. :rolleyes2
Eh, that's not mean. I sent 2 to the hallway today during the birthday extravaganza and allowed them no food. They deserved it. Don't think they didn't.

Thanks for the compliment.

She said she saw at least 8. All our snow is melting too. It's so gross looking. I think I graduated in May, so all my classes are over. I did graduate, right??? jk. I graduated. I'm teaching for reals now.

Hamsters are really quite disgusting. I thought I told the story awhile back about my friend Eren and her hamster decapitating his brother. Maybe I spared y'all that one.

Anyway, one of the kids in the class donated the hamster. She didn't even know it was pregnant. I'm guessing the mom who donated it knew. Hamsters are known for eating their young. My hamster growing up did it. I just remember yelling "MOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!!" and my mom came in and pulled my hamster out before she finished off all the babies. Moral of the story: only ONE hamster per cage!!!!

Your the real deal now? Congratulations! How's your first year going so far... oh wait, I better just scroll back track.

OHHH great! I gotta wash that thought right out of my hair, I gotta wash that thought right out of my hair. Thanks :scared:

Personally, I don't think teachers are tough enough on kids these days. Great job PJ and aldisneygrl :thumbsup2

I guess that would pose a conundrum :confused3 Bottle feed baby hamsters with something?
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I can see it now....all of us in the teacher's lounge at lunch each with a hamster and a tiny bottle. Sign me up....NOT!

Checking my old signature. Yeah, it's still there.

It's going well, thanks! :) I get accused of being too hard on my kids, but I maintain they need it. Plus it's the only way to keep some sense of order. A little healthy fear never hurt a kid, right?

You are exactly right. I'm still alive and well, sort of.

My 6th grade teacher was really strict. If we got past the warning side of the board, we had to write page 100 out of the dictionary verbatim . Granted this 6th grader cheated and transcribed an extra copy, took it home and wrote extra copies "just in case" ;) . I got a way with it can you believe it?! I'd just hand her a copy and poof, I could go out to recess!

:happytv: Monk and Psych are coming up soonish so I might be a little distracted here and there.
