YIKES that was some scary snow pics this am - I was able to make it to the hospital at 9 am on the dot (I bank in 15 min) it was bumper to bumper traffic - at 40 mph (as opposed to the usual 70 mph!)

Cel you've never shoveled? at least the snow today was fine powder, you could brush it, as opposed to having to lift it/shovel! So much snow all over - but the SUN is now shining!!

Nope. I just finally had it and decided to quit. I'm going to move into my mom's basement and spend my days on the disboards. Either that or it's still snowing.

That sounds like an AWESOME plan - count me in - and figure out how we can get paid for it too btw!!



Trying to walk a "normal" road... its hard...

1. I scoffed at you. But then I got bored so I decided to have some pictures sent to the walgreens. I know we're still not supposed to go out so I walked. (It's close, y'all). Some guy in a truck did stop and ask me if I was okay. Then once I got the pictures I saw a big sign that said CLEARANCE ITEMS so I started browsing. Because clearly everyone needs clearance items from walgreens. As I perused the aisle, it occurred to me that I was shopping. Just as you predicted. Wassup with that?

They just canceled school for the rest of the week. Apparently none of the schools have power. Including my school. It's almost as bad as during the windstorm.

Can I just say these people here are wimpy? When I was walking to Walgreen's, the roads were FINE. And when we were out for a whole week for the windstorm, the Cincinnati schools were out for 1, maybe 2 days. Buncha wimps here, I'm telling you. I'm sure none of the Cincinnati schools will be closed tomorrow. And what is up with the delays when it gets too cold out??? Fine, the school has no power and therefore no heat therefore small children cannot be there. I think I'm grumpy.

Obama gives chilly reception to canceled school

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is poking fun at Washington's penchant for closing schools at the sight of the first snowflake.

The veteran of many frigid Chicago winters expressed disbelief Wednesday when his daughters woke up to find that their classes had been canceled.

Schools in Washington and the surrounding suburbs either opened on a delayed basis or scrapped all their classes because of icy conditions.

Obama said he wasn't the only one who was incredulous. His daughters said school in Chicago is never canceled and students even go outside for recess.

Obama's daughters attend the private Sidwell Friends School.
