Well, I had a change of plans. My best friend told me she had to go to the Dr. today. Then she called back to say that they were putting her in the hospital at 3:30 for surgery! They may keep her overnight. It's nothing major, but a shock none the less. So I have her two boys at my house right now. I have fed everyone, and we're doing good so far. Luckily her boys are the same age as my kids. Her boy and my girl are BEST buds, but they will never admit it to anyone else 'cause they get teased about bein' boyfriend/girlfriend. Kids!

Happy 2009 everyone! Hope it's good to all of you! Cause you're the BEST! Hey, CEL, you be safe out there! Glad you hijacked a 'puter and became my friend.

We have some friends over, watching the Insight Bowl (KU Jayhawks vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers) and are gorging ourselves on a variety of unhealthy and fattening foods.

I gave up on forecast about an hour ago, and read pages and pages of a CB thread on the economy, with some guy posting that he is ignoring it and all is great if you just dont listen to the media, which caused tons of replies.

I felt like having a chicago roll with prosciutto and cheese, but no rolls in the house. Still have a ton of lasagna left over, but I had that for dinner 2 days in a row, and for lunch today. So I am going to make some chicken A La King tonight, I haven't made that in a while. Some dear soul bought REAL milk (YAY), so not that watery no fat milk for the sauce.

We're having a pretty boring evening here at our house. I've mostly just been reading today. We may watch the latest Indy DVD later tonight.

Made some Apple Pie for the evening:

1.5 gals Apple cider
1/2 gal Apple juice
2 cups sugar
9 cinnamon sticks

Simmer above 2-3 hours. Cool. Add about a fifth of Everclear 190 proof.

Sip and be mellow. Serve cold, or warm cup in microwave. It reminds me of cinnamon apple rings.

I think this means we CAN be mad at PJ for being at disney.

Good morning, rise and shine!!!!!!

I got up at 7:20 this morning, I don't know how that happened . I never get up that early, and I was up till 2 am.

I went to check this place before starting back on forecast, but I was distracted by an email from facebook. Guess who sent me an email, after I added her to my friends list, because her website had crashed?


















Delswife!!! THE Delswife, of LYMI fame! She even suggested we might meet for coffee or something sometime. Just WOW! Almost as goog as BBN meeting Stephen King! Apparently, her old website crashed, but a friend is going to fix it. She is now at Delswife.com. I heading to check that out before I start on the frigging forecast again.
