I am having a horrible time with the forecast this month. Been working most of the day.Mostly with forecast to forecast explanations. They changed the template since last month and some things went horribly wrong somewhere along the line. GRRRRRRRRRR. And this is due at 10 am tomorrow, so I have to finish it tonight, but I am sooo tired........
I am changing my work records to reflect working instead of taking a holiday today.
Don't know that I will actually ever meet Robin, but it was neat just to get the message. You know I am not a chatterbox IRL, so I dont even know what I would say, LOL.

OK, back to the saltmines for me..........

Spent the day cleaning up and putting away all the Christmas stuff. I was only really going to put a few things away in the living room but once I started I kept going. It was nice to have hubby home to help. The kids were at friends playing.

Marita-- working on a holiday. Will you get overtime for that then?

Moo-- my sister just complained about having to go in for one day too. Next year it will be better because it should land on a Friday and you will have the weekend off too.

Donald-- safe travels. Can't wait to hear about your trip.

I just say Sandy post on FB. I forgot her son was getting married this month. That time went fast. I remember she said the colours for the wedding were navy and yellow I think. Hope she comes back and shows us some pictures.

Since I have been busy all day I think I will just chill tonight.

Good for you putting all the xmas stuff away. Mine is gone except for the tree. Hopefully I cant twist DS' arm to do it this weekend before he leaves on Sunday. Otherwise I am sure it will be February again

I narrowed the work problem down to something someone changed from the version i submitted to the final verson without telling me. Just a switch in columns I think, but that is what matters in Fcst to Fcst explanations. But I am brain-dead right now, so I am going to take a break and go back later, since it is due tomorrow at 10. This is so frustrating, never had this issue before, and I have done this for many years. OK, watch, it may turn out its something I did after all, LOL But that is for later.

Why is it the cat decides to lay on the couch right when I am ready for a nap???

Marita...I usually need a nice nap on days like today too. Kind of gloomy out.

I'm making a valiant attempt to get off of or greatly reduce the amount of hooch consumption, AGAIN. So far, I've drank a POT of coffee and been popping Excedrin like it's candy (every 6 hours). For some reason I have LOADS of energy today!

Don't quote me since these heroic efforts usually don't last past 60 days

It's pitch dark and only 5:30 PM. Huh. Gonna be a LONG weekend!

I finished work for the night. It's 9:35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The global team made a change for commission (which they send us!) and timing. Took me forever to find it. ANyway, files are saved out now, email sent to boss, I have to wake up early tomorrow to refresh files for any updates. Both Knitfreak and Asst #2 are off. So all 4 alarms need to be set.

You better believe I am claimng this as a work day! This was a nightmare!

I checked the newspaper on-line and saw that MSU lost their bowl game in Orlando today. Goog thing there won't be many people at work to whine about that tomorrow!

My mom's oven died before our trip, so she came over to bake all of the cookies she wanted to bake.

We stood in my kitchen baking and sipping wine for 6 hours. We only went through one bottle and 2 glasses out of another. And subtract the one I spilled and the one she spilled.

Oy!



My feet are tired.

It was fun laughing together and I took some really cute pics of Mal and Maddy in their baking garb.

2.ha. hmmm. i think (according to my own words) we shouldn't begrudge people who work hard, make money, and have nice things. Soooooo by this logic I am happy for BDG since he has worked hard and earned the right to take his family to disney. I am also happy for PJ's dad. who did the same thing. I think this means we CAN be mad at PJ for being at disney.

so here is the update on the bbn family for those who want to hear:

1. We are still struggling with the loss of our young friend, but are thankful for the time we had with him. We got out some pictures we took of him in New Mexico (and at other rodeos) this year and last with Julia and it was nice to remember him in that way. The two girls are still in coma's and have swelling in their brain. One of the girls in the coma was the sister to the 14 yo girl who passed away. and although I do not know that family, I'm sure continued prayers are always welcome.

2. Did I tell y'all Julia got a hamster for Christmas? He is a panda bear hamster (which are supposed to be the cleanest) and is black and white. She named him Dumbo. She is great at taking care of her animals, so luckily, this means that mom will NOT be feeding, watering, or cleaning this ones cage.

3. We took the kids ice skating yesterday. They had never been, but I used to go all the time before I had the bbn babies. SOME people think I am not coordinated enough to ice skate, but those people would be losers.

I just dozed off very briefly in front of the TV, and woke up to think, OH dear, I have to send a message to my BFF, as we chat almost daily around 11 PM. I thought I was way late and missed it.

Then I realzed it was only 10:30 AM! DS isn't even up yet! This waking up and working at 4:15 is NOT working for me!

Why is it I cant sleep? DS is still out cold and he didn't even drink last night.(actually, he doesnt drink at all. Did you know you get thrown out of the military if you get a DUI? Just a bit of info in case you care.) Maybe Root Beers wipe you out?


Watch, as soon as I lay down, I will get a call from work....

I have an ambition to make beef stew tonight. The beef is defrosting. We shall see how that goes.

I wonder how Pumba's cabin hunting went?
