BBN, how horrible. That is a parents' worst nightmare. Prayers and hugs for all involved. :grouphug:

Cel......sometimes the heart grows fonder when a person is not around.....if it changes his heart......you never can tell......but you are a beautiful woman and I am sure that there is someone out there that is meant for you.

Nab....the camp is 16 miles from Quebec....so our passports are in order and next summer we could jump the border and see where my daddy came from...

the realtor just called again to make sure we were set to meet her tomorrow...she has to drive 2 hours as well.....our ride is 2 and a half hours..

Oh BBN that is terrible. As the parent of an "almost driver" that is what scares me the most, as I know it does you, being in the same boat. I will be praying for you and your DD and for all the familes. :grouphug:

Oh, and we saw Marley and Me today, so we are hugging our puppies a little tighter today too. It's a great movie, just make sure you bring your tissues.

Popping in to say thank you to ALL of you guys. Just knowing that there are people in the world sending good vibes and prayers really does bring comfort.

We went to the viewing today. When I saw his little baby picture up next to the casket it broke my heart. It made me appreciate my own bbn babies so much. Julia is doing okishly. All of her rodeo teammates were there, so that helped. But she's saying that she is done with rodeo. She doesnt even want to think about roping with someone else. She does other events by herself, but she is saying she doesnt want to do those either. I know she is hurting right now, so we will see what happens.

We did take the kids to a movie tonight. Our goal was to take their mind off of everything. We saw "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler. It was good.

Thanks again. Much love.

Cel - I think Pumba has some real words of wisdom there for you

Pumba - Hope this camp is the one you've been looking for!

bbn - Prayers for the girls to come out of their comas and recover :grouphug:

Did anyone else watch the Ron Howard program celebrating 50 years of being in show business on TCM last night? It was very interesting to hear him talk about all the movies he has directed. I'm not sure if they're replaying it.

Cel  I'm sure you will find love eventually, with breadman or someone else. BM just seems to really be a phobic about commitment. Why not try POF again? At least that is free, and knitfreak finally found her fiancee there. Plus you are practically perfect in every way! :)

Pumba, hope that cabin is what you have been looking for. All the creature comforts (almost).

Nothing much new here, another frigging forecast that is due 10 am Friday. Nobody wants to work New Years or Friday, so the goal is to get it done by tomorrow night. Wish me luck! Well, fact is, I will probably work for a couple of hours or so on New Years, but from home.

DS went out to lunch with his BFF for lunch today, and is still not home. DD came over to cook spaghetti this afternoon, but we crossed as she left and I came home. DH is of course asleep.

Oh, last night I went to do the dishes and I was totally out of Cascade. So I used some liquid dishwasher stuff. When I went to get a glass out at bedtime, I found a dishwasher full of soap bubbles :sad1: So today I thought, well, at least they are washed, so I put them through a rinse cycle a couple of times. Well, let me tell you, they were not clean. DH picked up some Cascade today, so I am rewashing the whole thing now :sad2:

Does anyone have any New Years Eve plans? I don't.

Oh, a bit of insider information. Nothing confidential as far as I know. I overheard one of the lobby concierge ladies talk today how there are NO ressies to be found ANYWHERE on property for sit down restaurants for tomorrow and New Years day. Later I was talking to an Area restaurant manager, and she said that no shows are extremely high this week. She said, no shows are always high (double bookings?), but her guess is that lots of people booked xmas vacations and then cancelled them due to the economy and never bothered to cancel their dining ressies.

No big plans here for NYE so far, Marita - we usually prefer to stay off the roads after dark.

I was supposed to go to see a movie with a friend after work, but she bailed on me, so maybe we'll do an early movie and dinner tomorrow so we can get home before people are out partying. Or just rent a couple movies.

We'll all have to wish Peej a happy birthday tomorrow!

So you are off tomorrow, Moo? How about Friday?

I have to work tomorrow, probably put in a couple of hours Thursday from home, and hopefull take off Friday, or at least work from home. Both knitfreak and Asst. #2 are taking off Friday, so the boss might be a stickler for someone being in the office, but I hope not.
I know my kids will be out for sure tomorrow. DD at her new place (she was going to borrow my fancy bowle bowl, with reliefed (?) pictures or Rhine castles on it. But I told her no way, it is irreplacable. We got it as a wedding presents from DH's army buddies 37 years ago, it is not leaving the house. We already lost 4 of 12 matching cups, and 4 have missing handles.
Don't know what DS is planning, but I am sure it is not sitting at home, LOL.

Marita, I'm off tomorrow and New Year's Day, of course, but am working on Friday to provide office coverage for our work group. I may only work 7 hours or so though.

I used up most of my vacation time before the holidays, but it was worth it!

I finished book 3 of the Twilight series, so I'm on to the last one shortly. DD left the newest book here for me too.

I had a whole long thing typed out and then Isaac reached over and smacked the mouse off the table and Mozilla closed along with my post. :o(

So forget that.

No NYE plans here, bed by 10 as usual.

Today is Isaac's Birthday! I can't believe it. At this time last year I was sitting in the hospital bed during a monitering time watching Dirty Jobs. lol!

I just popped in to say:

Mommy p-- That year went by fast!

Happy Birthday to Isaac !

We have no plans for the evening either. Maybe go rent some movies from Blockbuster or just watch ones we already have. The kids are more excited over it being New Years Eve then us. Must be getting old.

Thank you guys for being supportive. I love you all! (except for that weird rob guy)

nab - I love your birthday greeting for peej!

babycow - sending more prayers

pumba - is it like a cabin you're looking at? would you use it for weekends or what? :confused3

I'm going to my friend Michael's house tonight for a pot luck.
good clean fun with people from church should be good for me.
we'll see.
tomorrow will be full of moping, I'm sure!

1. Thank you guys for being supportive. I love you all! 2. (except for that weird rob guy) 3. tomorrow will be full of moping, I'm sure!

1. I didn't skim. Supportive of what? Was I right? Did Bonnet Creek finally go belly up? When we drove by yesterday I did notice the place was all boarded up. And a sheriff's car out front. I'm sure it's nothing.

2. HA!

3. Quit moping. I'll be back. I'm running out of money. Soon.

My trip has been full of adventure. And late nights. And 80 degree temperatures. (if you like that sort of thing) And $200 dinners. We are going to MGM tonight. It stays open til 3 AM. Yowza. We stayed at Magic Kingdom on Sunday til 3 AM too. Yesterday we went to Sea World and rode Krakken 12 times. I finagled a VIP pass. Hope all is well with everyone. We are also going to Citrico's tonight. For dinner. (Couldn't get into Chef Mickey's) OKW is the same. Great.

Happy New Year. I'll be riding RockNRollerCoaster and Toy Story about that time. But not at the same time. Almost forgot. Osbourne lights were SPECTACULAR.
