I just went in to my office for a few hours to wade through the email and snail mail since Friday is the ONLY day I will be working until Jan. 12th.

Just got home and everyone is still in bed. At noon.

Any big plans for tonight?? I'm going to DSIL's house. She is having a bail bond party. Apparently I have a "fiduciary responsibility" to come ready to party. Or at least that's what the invitation says.

My trip has been full of adventure. And late nights. And 80 degree temperatures. (if you like that sort of thing)

I do!!! I'll be looking for the Goofy hat on Saturday at the MK.

Happy New Year's Eve to all my imaginary friends! Since it's rather an anti-holiday for me, I always use New Year's to take stock of my blessings. Just wanted you guys to know that I count each of you among those blessings. Thanks to all for the support, friendship, snark and giggles you've provided me over the past year.

Lynette.......ACK! Can you see the screen sort of? You know you can hook up to another monitor if need be. Just sell some webkinz and go get a new laptop!

Melinda, I can still see the majority of the screen. It's just the bottom right corner that's completely wonked up. I can even live for a while with the horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen...I just know that I'm going to have to replace the whole shebang sooner rather than later. My inner OCD victim wants a perfect screen, but I can suck it up for now, I guess.

big l - I second Melinda's suggestion - go buy a cheap flat screen monitor - it means your laptop is now a desktop, but it's cheaper than getting a new puter.

Cel, I am hoping that the screen will hold out for just a bit longer, but I guess I could buy a cheapo monitor if need be.

....but I have such bad news that I cant think straight.

As y'all know dd does rodeo. One of the events she does is team roping. This event requires a partner. Her team roping partner was killed in a car accident. He was only 16, and he was driving and going too fast. The crash also killed a 14 yo girl and two other girls are in coma's.

Needless to say, we are all devestated and dd is taking this news very hard.
So, if you guys could remember those families in your thoughts and prayers it will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, E! That's such horrible news. Sending prayers for Julia and all the families and friends of those kids. What a horrible nightmare for them all.

First of all that is a great party idea. I wish I had thought of it. Or was attending one.

Quiet evening here too. I am still working on forecast (GRRR!). DS out till about 10, at which time we will wake DH to watch the festivities on TV, such as they are.
Tomorrow I have to finish anything on forecast I dont finish tonight, and then on Friday I am working from home (YAY!)
