Mrs. TK - You are welcome to all of my snow that you want!!! Especially the snow that is currently all around my stuck car :upsidedow I'll even provide an ergonomically correct shovel for you to take it away with ;)

LOL!! Sorry, Moo! :hippie:

:rotfl: You know I would just eat chili and melt that snow with my one and only super power :loudfart:

Mrs. TK, you can have all of my snow too. I don't condone or enjoy any weather which might result in my breaking a nail. White Christmas, my eyeball!

That would be courtesy of the Jiggler, I'm sure.... :rotfl:
My thoughts exactly about the Jiggler TM Mrs. the King!!!

That was some list your DD made, Marita :sad2:

Too bad you can't use your garage as a spare fridge (like we can in the Great White North) for hiding the stuff that you don't want Nicole to pitch :rotfl:

Yes, she is ruthless! No garage (with any room left), no balcony like my mom has that is cold, no cellar at all. I am doomed! :faint:

Maybe you need to put your stuff in a cooler temporarily?

L - You'd better hope that B doesn't have venomous teeth like Edward Cullen! ;)

I was looking at the Twilight trailers on-line tonight. DH is hogging the new TV.

Separate TV's make for a better marriage, in my opinion. Hubby has the fancy schmancy flat panel in his room, I have a HUGE 3' deep 60" or so one in the living room from 2004.

We hardly ever watch the same programs, unless its maybe Olympics or the superbowl. And then again, DH goes to bed by 5pm Sunday- Thursday anyway...

We might convert DD's room into hubbies man cave, we shall see..

I'm taking my chances on the food stuff. I have enough other stuff to worry about.

Lynt, somehow I missed the biting references :confused3

And Moo, I am in no hurry to wake up early tomorrow. I tend to get my energy later at night.

Frank Capra's You Can't Take it With You starring Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, and Jimmy Stewart is on tomorrow evening, Saturday, December 20, on Turner Classic Movies (TCM). This film was the first collaboration between Capra and Stewart.

This romantic comedy (which might be too much of a girly film for some on this thread) won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director in 1938 and was nominated for Oscars in Best Supporting Actress (Spring Byington), Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Recording, and Best Screenplay Writing.

A great film that I have been anxiously waiting to catch again on TV (guess I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Blockbuster Video  ), so I'm thrilled that it's coming on this weekend and set my DVR for it tonight.

Me too Marita. :thumbsup2

Hi Marita!

Hmmm, I have nothing to contribute to your thread but I did subscribe to it out of moral support. Good luck to you.

Aww, thanks, that is so sweet of you! The CB moves so fast, I might never get a response. Hey, its vacation time and Friday night, I have a good 1/2 hour left.

That's true but hopefully you will. If not, maybe a Google search can turn up some unbiased reviews/opinions?

Five of the last six threads I started on the CB never made it past one page (most never came close to getting to 2 pages in length). I think the most popular one I did (about the 1971 Sears Christmas catalog) made it to 4 pages in length.

Hey, Robin, your light is still on! I now got 2 replies, both saying pretty much not to bother unless you are are mentally ready. So I guess I will save my $350 plus supplements.

OK, going to call it a night here.

Poll question first:

When DD moves out, she is taking her bed.
Should we get an inflatable mattress for occasional visits by DS, or invest in a queen bed for future (very future) visits by married children?
Ponder that over your hectic Holiday weekend :rolleyes1

GOOD MORNING! :santa:

Going to Target this morning to finish up the stockings stuffers, etc. I ordered almost everything else online. It was quite convenient although I do feel some guilt about not stimulating the local economy.

queen bed for future (very future) visits by married children?
...and DIS friend visits. ;) Good luck on the quitting. Just put them down and walk away. Chew nicorette gum. Use a patch. Just QUIT!

Wendee....I got the Guiness Book of World Records with 3-D glasses. It's awesome! They were all sold out of the Ripley's book.

Mrs. The King furthermore to be know as MTK....Gross but funny. :lmao:

Rob....I remember that Sears catalog!

Lynette, Moo, Peej, BNCG, BDG, Twinkster, Monica, ever-body...........:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Marita......I am proud of you for looking into a way to quit this hard to get rid of habit....I was a heavy smoker for quite a few years and it was so hard to stop....2 and a half packs a day sometimes......hubby and I quit the same day and our two kids didnt have a chance......didnt see what hit them.....ROFL....

Now about a bed in your extra room......How about a futon that makes into a bed .....that way you can keep it some what empty and when he arrives the bed can come down.....it is an idea anyways.....

I know the holidays are coming fast and faster......but I want to tell you before it gets to nutzy.......How much I have appreciated all the support, the fun, and the seriousness we have had in this thread........no one could ever imagine that.

thanks again everyone...
marie
