Awwwww, c'mon! You don't expect me to believe this poor, wounded babynurse routine, do ya?

Actually, I dont. Takes more than that to rattle a bbn. Besides I could toadily take you. duh

And somebody threw out my leftover box with the remaining half stick of pretzel bread from Le Cellier today!:headache:

WTHeck? I've killed people for less.

1. (hey, you have your Christmas traditions and we have ours).

2. I always consider myself lucky when I have the great fortune of interacting with a person as sweet as you.

3. I'm glad somebody else on this thread enjoys a good comic strip.

1. Sitting in your mommy's basement perusing the internet for naughty or nice girls does NOT count as a tradition, freakazoid.

2. Sometimes a smiley actually detracts from a sentence. Hence, I have removed the smiley from your post. Now it's perfect. I'm fluent in smiley, dontchaknow?

3. somebody on this thread does enjoy a GOOD comic strip.

...she's gves life a lickin..instead of the other way around..and
....she makes everyone happy doing it. truly, a real~ bonus baby,

You always give us such great insights into Wendy's life. Thanks Lil G.

And although that bluebird might be missing self expression for desires, luckily I have no such trouble. maybe he needs a good therapist. worked for Lynt.:rolleyes1

My favorite Christmas food? I love all food..

Now this right here is a post that I can really stand behind. I no longer despise you MommyP.;)

and since Marita was worried our little thread might die, I will do my best to keep it going. You guys really are lucky.

Here's a cute, but slightly warped kids story. Hey, it's a bbn baby, whaddya expect?

Red was given a picture of Santa Clause at school and told to write down words describing Santa next to him. He also had to color the picture, which he hates b/c we discovered he was color blind, and isnt this ironic, but RED is one of the colors he has the most trouble with. So santa was wearing a pinkish fuschia suit, but whatever.

So here are the words he wrote down describing Santa:

10. Jolly (perfectly normal, it goes downhill from here people)

9. Big (ok, not too bad but the direction is headed south)

8. small (ummm, he has depth perception issues too?)

7. stinky (rationale: "I bet he is stinky after working all Christmas Eve")

6. bad (rationale: "I never see Santa opening presents. This means he must be bad")

5.smells (please see number 4)

4. cry (rationale: "Who wants to work on Christmas eve?")

3. pout (rationale: "nobody buys him presents. I bet he is pouty")

2. mean (rationale: "How could he really eat all those cookies??? I bet he takes the ones he doesnt eat. That is mean manners mommy."

and the number one word used to describe santa according to my freakin genius child is *drumroll*

1. ROBBER (rationale: "Sneaking down your chimney is creepy. I bet he swipes people's wallets on occasion")

And while we are on the subject of Red. For Thanksgiving his teacher asked the class to write down some foods they were going to eat and about their family etc.

Red wrote "We will eat at Taco Bell this Thanksgiving. We dont eat turky. Turky's are dumb. We will also eat pie. My mom makes good pie. My mom smells good. (told y'all ha!) My mom is nice. My dad hunts turky. My dad is funny. Julia is mean. I have two brothers. They are dumb. They eat turky."

but the teacher is so cool. She wrote a little note on his paper that said "Enjoy your turkey-less Thanksvgiving ;-)"

Plus in parent teacher conferences she said she loves how creative he is, and that she doesnt discourage him from writing all that silliness. It seems sometimes they read what they wrote to the class and everybody always wants to hear Red's b/c he is funny. She said that he is the best reader in the class and she thinks that is one reason he is so creative, b/c he has read so many different types of books. blah blah

The important thing is this: He's a smartypants! woot!:woohoo:

2. The smiley was VERY appropriate and necessary.

3. Sorry but your Lil' Abner strip has been done for quite a while now, Daisy Mae.

hello and good morning..

My favorite snack around the holidays is peanut butter fudge.....without the nuts.....I love this fudge.....a lady is (supposed to be) making me a platter of peanut butter fudge minus the nuts...for 15.00.....to me it is worth it cause I do not make fudge ...My daddy used to make all the christmas goodies....His specialty was divinity fudge with out the nuts....chocolate fudge....and molasses candy......we would get our hands covered in oleo and start pulling that candy.....it was the best time...and when it got to be that golden color we would start the snipping with the sheers.....delicious..and some would go on to the popcorn balls before it got to be pulled....oh I almost forgot....when we were doing the candy......we would test it in a cup of cold water and drop some of the sugar mixture we were boiling into it....and it would turn to strands ....and we would eat it.....sometimes daddy would make rock candy....that is the mixture poured into a buttered up pan and let it sit.....delicious again.......

we sure had fun when we were kiddos....our parents always made sure that we were involved in the celebration and the preparations..

Didja miss me? huh? huh? Didja?

I had a lovely trip and wish I was going back soon. I meet MommyP and Mr. Poppins and Baby Poppins. We had so much fun just hanging out and admiring our identical stranger babies. Seriously, in some of those pictures Amanda posted, if she wasn't holding Isaac I would think he was Gabe as I scrolled past. Freaky. I really enjoyed meeting you guys! And MommyP is as cute as a button and somehow her hair is resistant to florida weather.

I also met Hollywood only she doesn't know it. Heh. We all loved the stepsisters and Lady Tremaine.

We ran into Moo and Mari at DHS. Again, we had a great time just chit chatting. It was so nice! I hope you are having a great trip Moo!

Ok I know you are all dying to know my favorite Christmas food. It is my mom's homemade cookies. Every Christmas she makes chocolate chip, pizelle, sugar cookie roll outs and bon-bons. Sometimes gingerbread because she knows I love it.

And I love Christmas music. I think if I only get one favorite it is going to be Handel's Messiah. The whole thing. Heh.

Of that my two favorite parts are the chorus from Is 9:6

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government
shall be upon His shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

and of course the Hallelujah chorus:

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

The kingdom of this world
Is become the kingdom of our Lord,
And of His Christ, and of His Christ;
And He shall reign for ever and ever,
For ever and ever, forever and ever,

King of kings, and Lord of lords,
King of kings, and Lord of lords,
And Lord of lords,
And He shall reign,
And He shall reign forever and ever,
King of kings, forever and ever,
And Lord of lords,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

And He shall reign forever and ever,
King of kings! and Lord of lords!
And He shall reign forever and ever,
King of kings! and Lord of lords!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!

And MommyP is as cute as a button and somehow her hair is resistant to florida weather.

I have lived here my entire life. What would I have if my hair wasn't resistant to Florida weather? :cool2:

Plus the entire 3 hour ride there I had it in 2 different hair ties wrapped around so it would be wavy.

Rob: I am funny. I've been upgraded to professional status.

TWINK: You're back. WooHoo YeeHaw and Woot. I missed ya like a toothache. Joking. I missed ya so much, I couldnt hardly go on with my life.

Post bunches so I can fade into oblivion again.....

TWINKIE!!!!

:yay: So happy you're back! I met Amanda too, back when she was pregnant with Isaac. SO stinkin' cute! I remember how totally well behaved her boys were as mine ran around

She does have that humidity resistant hair!!!! My hair is accustomed too the @!#&*%$! heat of Utah with its under 15% humidity so it was all frizzy/jacked up.

Glad you had fun!

Random thoughts -
peppermint is good. Anyone who doesn't like it is a freak.
I want to see the pictures of the identical strangers!
I want to see pics of the twinkies with hollywood.
I want to see pics.
I like peppermint.
I'm all gushy over the breadman.
I'm very tired this week and overworked.
which is weird.
I'm hungry.
I DO like santa baby - it's my number three song. But I like the eartha kitt version.
and I didn't realize it was a deed to a platinmum mine.
I thought it was a platinum line as in credit.
but a deed to a line of credit doesn't make much sense.
I don't wanna drive home tomorrow, but I want to BE home.
I also don't want to go to the vestry meeting at church tomorrow night. they always seem to last until 10 or 11, then I have to take my mom home then I have to drive to the breadman's house. icky poo.

Breadman's house is icky poo?

I need the deed to a plat-in-num mind too!
I love the Eartha Kitt version also, but dislike the way she sings her "R's". OCD again.

No, breadman's house is nice and cozy.
ok, not really. it's cold cuz he's cheap.
but the glade' (said with the snooty french accent) candles plus christmas decorations make it nice and cozy.
plus the cuddles from breadman and riley make it warm and cozy.

the drive at 10 or 11 at night when I've been up for one million hours is the icky poo part.

and I like her Rs cuz it reminds me she was cat woman.

my lip hurts.
im eating italian creme cake for lunch.
and ravioli.
cuz I'm very bad.

Day FIVE of the Unabomber wardrobe debacle. Somebody bring me some Febreze...STAT! :faint:

Twink! Welcome home! Can't wait to see your pics. Glad your trip was lovely, but I'm also glad you're back...missed you oodles!

Actually, I dont. Takes more than that to rattle a bbn. Besides I could toadily take you. duh

Heh...or so you think. Remember, my low center of gravity gives me an advantage over you mutant types. Just saying.

Does this quote from Red remind anyone else of BBN's stream of consciousness posts? Thought so. Sounds like Red is a real chip off his momma's block. Maybe he can overcome it...heh.

He DOES sound like quite a freakin genius. But we knew that, didn't we?

Hi Cel, Wendell, Pumba, Marita and all the rest of you!

Going back to Amazon to wrap gifts again tonight. Mimi's going with me this time. Heh. Double the money, double the fun.

take away....the ego & image projections, makes it so much easier to enjoy..all the goodies..in life.
Sage advice, Lil G.

For LexMelinda
Everything I wanted to know. In a nutshell. Good luck on the high school parking space. Just to brag....again....Mimi one automatically since she was one of only 4 students in her senior class who got "distinguished" marks on all of her state testing. All the other kids had to into the school lottery for a space.

and the number one word used to describe santa according to my freakin genius child is *drumroll*

I have to agree here. I can think of lots of things I'd rather eat than turky. ;)

Didja miss me? huh? huh? Didja?
Yes. Details? And ummm.....pictures? On FB or here? I don't wanna miss them. Also...I love your Christmas song. I actually sang the Hallelujah Chorus when I was in middle school choir. I still remember it but only know the alto part. Or "altoad" part...which is what Emily used to call it.

To echo Wendy, I've met MommyP also. Haven't we all met somebody from this thread IRL at one time or another?

Here's who I've met:
Moo
NAB
MommyP
Wendee
Sandy
Marita
Celery
Nebo & Smidgy

In January I'll get to meet PJ and DTD.

My favorite Christmas food: the snacky stuff....appetizer buffets....shrimp, tenderloin, cheese, dip, etc. Yumm.

Haley has met WT and I've met Haley, so I guess that counts. :confused3
Until now, I always thought Twinkie was imaginary too - cuz the only person who had met her was nabbers.
hee.

Didja miss me? huh? huh? Didja?
Terribly. Now I feel as though my life is complete again. Welcome back!

Rob: I am funny. I've been upgraded to professional status.
I heard you are a pro. :rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 Another person on this thread with good taste.

1. I need the deed to a plat-in-num mind too!
2. I love the Eartha Kitt version also, but dislike the way she sings her "R's". OCD again.
1. Hmmm, I thought you had one. :confused3

2. :sad2: With a voice that sounds like that, she can sing her "R's" however she likes.

Hi Cel, Wendell, Pumba, Marita and all the rest of you!
Hi Lynt!

1. Then you will be interested in knowing that I bowled a 103, 133, and 136 today (all crappy scores IMO and, yes, that was WITHOUT bumpers  ) and I received a lovely umbrella with the company logo on it as a gift of appreciation for all of my hard work this year. Also, I will be attending the annual High School Football Banquet with DS16 at 6:30 tonight, just he and I, while my DW works until 11:30 tonight and the younger 3 boys destroy my home in the absence of both parental units.

2. No. Though I may have given PJ a "potential meet" scare when DS13's (then DS12's) baseball team was seriously discussing playing in a post-season baseball tournament at WDW last summer during the time she was working at Chef Mickey's.

WDW Update: It was VERY wet and chilly at AK today :( But the sun finally came out this afternoon. Boma for dinner.

Welcome home to Twink! Mony and I have only exchanged phone messages. Maybe I can see her and her family tomorrow. Hope they stayed dry today.

The sun finally came out here too Moo. The nice weather is back tomorrow for a couple of days. Woot.

I've never met Haley who has supposedly met WT, so to me WT doesn't really exist. ;o)

I've met:
Luther
Moo
Wendy
Celery

and now Twinkie!

I really hope we can all plan a time when we all go again. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to have tea with everyone! It would be SO much fun!!!

We are completely homebound this week. Chad's motorcycle is being fixed at Harley and on the way home from church on Sunday our brakes in the truck went kaaput. So tomorrow our repair man(my dad haha) is going to fix them.

And tomorrow is a BIG BIG day for Kaleb.

He's getting his tooth pulled. The one he chipped up way back when. A friend from church owns his own dental practice and when I showed him the cyst he gets above his tooth he made an appointment ASAP for him. Free of charge! Woot!! My poor baby is going to have a very wonky smile for a few years. lol!

Twinkie, welcome home! We need a trip report for sure. You are so good at that. I still remember recommending yours to my GM back 3 or so years ago.

Celery, skip church meeting tonight!

MommyP, pixie dust to Kaleb tomorrow, poor kid! W00T for it being free!

Today was indeed very nasty here. Cold, gloomy, nasty, rainy, but got better by this afternoon. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 64, brrrrr! Not a great start for the Mony clan, but supposed to get back to the 70's after that.

And Haley met WT???? I did not know that. How did that happen?

I have to crumple up some paper and hide a bottle of wine in a shoe box and wrap it tonight. We have our annual Mgr/Analyst White Elephant gift exchange and lunch tomorrow. That's always tons of fun, probably 35-40 people, so there is lots of unwrapping, and tons of stealing. And I have to remember to pick up a pie tomorrow morning.

Feel free to skip if don't know about the Casey Anthony case:

On a sad note, local news that I understand is really national news. If you heard about the Casey/Caylee Anthony case. Little 2 1/2 girl missing about 6 months ago. She wasn't reported missing till a month after she was last seen. The mother kept telling lies, finally got arrested for suspicion of murder. The had thousands of volunteers out searching for a body or any sign. Nothing! The parents of the mother were on Larry King last night even.
Anyway, this morning a utility working found a childs' bones in a bag not far from the house where they all lived, about 20' into the woods. Supposedly it is a swampy area that what under water when they looked there before. But they searched lakes, so why not the water there? :confused3 (ETA: Just heard they couldonly just go in with hipwaders then, and it was just too dangerous)
They strongly suspect it's Caylee, but won't know for sure for a few days until DNA testing comes back. This being a local story (actually, not far from my house), the local press is all over this, going non-stop coverage today.

The parents came home from the Larry King interview this afternoon and where whisked to an undisclosed location, since their house is now declared a crime scene.
