She looks so good. To the new people I am Celerystalkers 60 yr. old DM with a sometime DH, a DD 30 and a DS who is 26. We live on 22 acres in Tennesse. I have two granddogs but no grandchildren. I love them (especially the dark ones), but I have to be in a chocolate mood.
I love the ones that come in the black wrapper - super dark!
My mom bought some for my dad and had me stash them at breadman's house - we totally forgot to give them to him!
Not that he needs them anyway since he's on two insulin shots a day.
So last weekend me and breadman took care of them for him.
Sorry mom!

I had other comments/shoutouts/requests/dedications but my brain is fried. Serious lACK of sleep for me. Beurking was involved.
Here's hoping the beurking only affected one or two of the twinkie children and not all one million!

Nab - I hate when people wear pajama pants in public! It's so odd!

Thanks you guys for all the encouragement about church.

Hey mom - you know the D in DH doesn't always stand for "dear."
It can stand for other D words too. :rolleyes1

Allie - my shoes look awful! I was thinking about that this morning. We've had tons of rain and everywhere around the trailer is MUD!
I have some really cute dressy crocs (the juneau ones), but they're caked in mud.
I guess I'll take some wet paper towels with me to my car so I can clean my shoes once I'm IN the car.
geez!

Hey there, lil g! Your daughter looks petrified to be next to a scantily clad Tarzan! :)

Celery-- you well do great at Church. Can I ask what church you will be attending.

I am sitting here waiting for the rest of the them to get ready for church. I feel under dressed compared to you Celery. I am wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. I will also have on snow boots since it snowed last night.

I have already been out and shoveled and cleaned off the car. They are just getting out of bed and in the shower.:sad2: Hannah was up with me but she was reading and eating breakfast while I shoveled.

Lil'g-- I have all my pictures in order. Most now stay on the computer which is sad because I like having them in my hand and looking closely at them and then saying do I really look like that.

I miss lex!

Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. "John 6:35-37

Nab - I'm going to a non denominational church. I listened to some of their sermons online and I think I'm going to like the preacher - I like his style and his sense of humor and he has a way that appeals to people who know the bible and people who are just learning.

Ummmm, thanks PeeJ, NOT! Where is the beurking smiley?

You have a trip report???????

DH is still trying to get internet on his overpriced, too many bells and whistles "intuitive" Mac.

I offered to try and help, but nooooooooooooo!!

Is there a support number for Apple or the AirPort thing? NO he says

Why dont you call Best Buy?

They dont answer the phone, he says.

He said the touchpad doesnt work well now. I said plug in a mouse. He said you cant just plug in a mouse. Oh yes you can. So I went and plugged in a mouse for him, and to his surprise it worked!

The Geeksquad may still be in our future.

Guess what?????
As I was typing this post, he calls to me "how do you spell Google?"
So I go tell him and say, well you can't go to Google unless you are on the internet.

He says he is on the internet now, but has no idea how. Something popped up after 4 hours:sad2:

Then he was trying to go to google to go to hotmail. I said you dont need to google it, just go there. I swear, the man is clueless about computers! :scared:

Tell him to take it back!!!!

We got almost a foot of snow yesterday. Snowed from about Noon until 11pm. Tim shoveled, I shoveled, and then the rest we said, forgitaboutit.

So, on the smashing front the boys smashed away yesterday. I decided it was my turn. The rock is secured by a mortar which was applied to a wire mesh screen which was nailed on to the wall.

So, when I get in there, I am NOT swinging a sledge hammer, I study it and figure I can jusget under the mesh and pry it from the wall, I got the last 2 huge sections off just pulling and crow barring.

And I did of course!

But I created a small problem, those sections were too heavy to just pick up, but I figured it out.

My boys wide eyed said, "Mom is stronger than dad!"

To save his dignity I said, "No Mom is not stronger than dad. Mom just came in here with rested muscles. Daddy has been working at this all day."

I like to think I might be, but I doubt it.

I did shovel snow though, but maybe that was just the warm up.

My body is screaming this morning though. All that is left for today is the sitting part. Which I never understood. It was never comfortable sitting on that bumpy hard rock.

We gave our selves some down time and decided to start back at it around Noon.

:welcome: Snap!

 Bethipooh

Watch out you easterners, the snow should be there by now. Followed by 0 degree or lower temps. Five of our 7 this week will be 5 degrees the high.

Mony - I think we need before, during and after photos.
a sitting part? huh?
I bet you ARE stronger than DH cuz you're super mony! ;)

Good Sunday morning, friends!

Cel, thanks for standing in for Melinda with the verse! Hope your first visit to the new church is a good one.

Mony, YAY for tearing down the fieldstone! You're a woman after my own heart....think about it, do it, get it done! You'll have to post pics once the fireplace is redone and the TV is hung up there.

We got about 6 inches of snow last night. The temperature right now is 19 degrees, but they're saying that the wind chill makes it feel like it's 5 degrees. Guess I'll stay in and do laundry today.

Marita, I love Lindt truffles! The dark ones, the peanut butter ones, the mint ones.....well, you get the idea. I am also a fan of Ghirardelli squares. The extra dark chocolate ones are little pieces of heaven!

NAB, Moo, Peej, Twink, CelMama, Allie, and everybody: !!!

snow snow go away ....go someplace else that wants it .....hahaha....couldnt make a rhyme....I hate snow,.

it is starting to calm down here now......probably about six or so .......hubby will go out and snowblow in a little while.

yesterday we went to a rug place and bought two rugs for the third floor apartment....and a light for the storage room........then we will buy a kitchen floor covering the next visit..
second floor apartment will need two rugs and one kitchen flooring too.....then a light in the storage room and then we will be almost done......

our place will be cleaned OUT....and get rid of junk....if we can do this before next spring then we can sell this place and get a small ranch in town.....not move away just a small ranch.......and no fixer uppers cause we are getting to dang old to do that.....

snow snow go away....:surfweb:

Cel: It's a raised fireplace I guess, and the hearth is the part that extends on both sides creating like a low bench. And if we were really cold, we'd sit there to warm up.

Those rocks were like super glued on or sumtin. I managed to get a few off cause I wanted to see what was under there. So far it looks like brick.

I have no idea why anyone would put that ugly stone over pretty brick.

I'm back.

I went from sitting by the Hippy Dippy pool all day yesterday drinking a frozen beverage to SNOW here at home.

The Pop was great. We were on the fourth floor in the 50s with an Epcot view. We enjoyed it muchly. Weather was in 72 - 82 all week and only one rainy day.

We also had good luck feeding the little vegan girl. Disney is very accommodating in that respect.

I have to tell you all that PJ's pictures do not do her justice. Mimi and I agreed that she is beautiful and sweet.

All in all a very good trip.

I'll have to read back but I think there are 20ish pages since I left so if anyone would care to recount the highlights I would be much obliged.

HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY!

Mornin' moovers!

I admit that I haven't read all the posts from yesterday, but I did skim through most of 'em. This thread moves fast, and I'll do better to keep up in the future. Pinky swear! :surfweb:

I have a kidney infection, so I'm laying low today. Big week ahead at work, so I have to feel better. Now for some cooperation from my kidney!

Wishing everyone a fantabulous Sunday! :dance3:

Welcome back, Lexi! We missed you. Happy you had a good trip. And the weather was certainly good, you got lucky, it could have been freezing.

Mony = Super Woman :thumbsup2

Snap, yikes about the kidney infection, sounds painful. :scared: Hope you feel better.

I'm home alone, DH and DD went to see a movie.

Hope everyone has a great day.

PS: I am so Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. :upsidedow

HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY!

Did we have the same vacation?
We were in the 50's section, but 3rd floor. Nice view of Epcot as well. Loved watching the fireworks, including MK's.

We were swimming the day we came home and I purchased a dreamcicle and came home to a foot of snow.

:welcome: back Lexi you were missed.

Thanks and me neither.

The visit to the new church was good. I liked the sermon and I liked the music.
But I think I must be invisible. :confused3
Only one person said hi to me and that was during the greeting part where the worship leader says you gotta find someone to say hi to.

Or maybe I'm the master at giving off "I hate you!" vibes.

Oh well.

On another note, I've been craving prunes. Kinda odd.

And I'm going to see bride wars with my friend bridget. should be fun. if tiring.
She's a bit blonde and boisterous sometimes.

Cel im sure people will warm up to you at the new church. Give it some time.

I saw a preview of Bride Wars when we went to see "Twilight". I think that movie would just stress me out!! :scared: I hate conflict!

I'm trying to decide what to eat for dinner. Chicken livers in sour cream over rice came to mind, but no chicken livers. Then I thought of chicken fricassee or chicken a la king, but no chicken. Maybe mashed potatoes with lots of butter and sour cream? Just checked, no sour cream either!:sad1:

A Jr. Whopper with fries? but that involves driving. So I dont think that will happen. Maybe tuna salad on toast? But that takes time. Or just another Chicago roll with prosciuitto and butter cheese.. Or I will just wait and see what else might strike my fancy....
Or I could make bratkartoffeln (potatoes cut up like fries, fried up with salt pork till brown, served with eggs over easy). But that involves peeling of said potatoes and cutting up of salt pork. I dont think so.
Yes, I have not eaten all day....... :rolleyes1

UPDATE: I went for the Jr. Whopper and fries. I just KNOW ya'll were dieing (SP?) to know. YW!!!!

Marita-- Snap was on the Mel's very first thread. She was the one that made me feel welcome when the others didn't, when I first started to post. Good thing too or I would not have found all you.

Yeah, I think you joined right after threads got moved and stuff like that. Some of us were trying to figure out if your name was just BAN spelled backward, or something like that. So, you were probably picking up on that vibe if you felt at all unwelcome. Everyone was a little antsy and skiddish at that time, it had nothing to do with you I'm sure.
