I would just like to say that the tr is now officially complete. I realize no one is following it anymore. It had to be finished though. That would be so lame to stop at this point. So, while it may not wow anyone, we finished it and that was the goal. What a burden off my back.

Yaaaaay!!! LOLing about your hubby's travails trying to get used to the Mac. Although I would probably be having some of the same issues (minus finding Google) if I didn't have my DH's help getting things hooked up.

Marita and Moo - I still have the time share, but I'd need to rent a car, pay for parking in the parks (that alone is enough for your retirement, Marita!), get tickets and on the off chance that I'd let my mom go - I am NOT loading and unloading an ECV all week again!
So I was thinking staying at pop could be fun.

I was just depressed last night and getting the code in the mail cheered me up.

Cel - Sorry for being sensible and crushing your happiness!!! What if you just drove down instead of flying if you need your car? It's only one day of driving, right? And maybe just have your mom rent an ECV at the parks instead of schlepping one in the car? Just a thought.

In the "old" days ......mincemeat pie was made with some sort of meat ....but usually venison......I have tried it but not up my alley.......I want my meat by itself on the platter......BUT I love mincemeat squares which are usually a type of fruitie....I love it with raisins or dates......all smooshed up...delicious....

HELLO NEWBIES......one time I was a newbie and they didnt bite my head off....honest...

We are going to call the realtor on Monday and see if she wants to drive the two and a half hours to show us two or three properties.....never mind this going up for one look see .....need to see them all at once..

The one that the bank mixed up the deeds .....well it is on a bid thing now and they have lowered it to 30....because less land and the house is emptied......no heat, no stove, no outbuilding....nothing.....I am surprised that the owner left the cabinets.......

we are in for a snow storm tonight they said.....not as much as the last one.......I hate snow but you all knew it.....

Bethipooh, I'd love to go on a Disney vacation sometime. Glad you think you will like it here. A great group of people, funny and supportive.


DS is the service now, so we'd get some free perks too. Except he wont have time off. Then again, we can go anytime, but working there is not the same as a vacation. I just said to DH 'I want to vacation at Disney sometime'. No answer. I said are you ignoring me? He said no, I'm not ignoring you, it's the first week in January.

OOKAY then, whatever that means...... Besides, I'm thinking of going to Germany in May for my mom's 95th birthday . Between that and all our new computer gadgets and the sinking economy (who knows if we get a raise this year or get laid off) I guess no Disney vacation in my near future. Oh well! I made it for 36.5 years without one. (Thats working there, actual age is sadly much more)

Oh, that reminds me. They had extended cast previews for American Idol, but it was for Saturday/Sunday, so of course we didnt go. I missed the orignal preview dates, dont know how, usually we go with the office team. I was on vacation in Germany for Toy Story Mania. And also not around for the Pirates reveal, Spaceship Earth, Small World and Haunted Mansion. Maybe I should go to work more????

I agree on Marley and Me, although we LOVED it because we're DOG people. My DD did well through the whole picture, then when we walked out into the fancyschmancynewoverpricedmovietheaterlobby, she wailed about our dog who died almost 6 years ago. I'm not talking just a little sniffle, I mean all out everyone turning around looking at us bawling. I just took her to the bathroom and cleaned her up. All the other women in the bathroom, had red puffy eyes, and were sniffling. My DH told me that he had never been to a movie where he heard so much sniffling. Oh, but we would have had Marley go through several rounds of dog training. Heck, mine have been through the graduation class at least twice SINCE they graduated!

Peej - I always thought mincemeat pie sounded wucky, now the visual confirms it for me. THANKS!

Cel - I'm pretty sure that you do have to call for the rates. I didn't see anywhere on-line to put in the PIN I've also been reading on the codes/rates board that some people have gotten great rates at other than Value resorts, but I'm not sure if it is 40%.

And I understand what you mean about your mom having issues with walking around the resort, etc. I'm having a LOT of pain in my left knee lately despite having had a cortisone shot a couple weeks ago, so I certainly can relate.

Good luck at church tomorrow CEL! I'm sure your dress will be fine. If they don't welcome you with open arms , it isn't the place for you. That's not the way Jesus intended for it to be. I finally got new shoes to wear to church tomorrow. I've been wearing my old ones that had a rip in the toe for about a month! I have been looking everywhere for a pair of regular black patent leather, or otherwise, shoes. Whenever I would finally find one I liked, they would never have my size. Well, tonight was the night! Got me a pretty strappy pair, and got a bonus pair of boots that were on clearance for 20 bucks!

Moo - hope your knee feels better. How's hubby?

Celery -- you will be fine and I agree with Allie. Church shouldn't make you nervous.

I used to dress up for church but our church anything goes now. You can dress up or go in jeans. I mostly go in jeans unless it is Christmas, Easter, or a special occasion. Heck even some of the teen readers have even come in P.J bottoms. Tweety to be exact. Now that drive me crazy. I do miss the days when everyone did dress for church. I love seeing the older ladies even hats dressed up.

Yes the snow is coming down nicely....look out Pumba it will probably come your way next if not already.

Cel- nothing to be nervous about. Everyone else is busy wondering if you will notice their mismatched socks/comb-over/coffee stain that they didn't notice till they were in the car. All the mamas are too busy praying for SERENITY NOW! after yelling at their youngun's in the car on the way to church.


I had other comments/shoutouts/requests/dedications but my brain is fried. Serious lACK of sleep for me. Beurking was involved.


Being too broke for Disney hasn't prevented me from wasting time today pricing DisneyLAND and DCL. In between lysolling of course. It is cold so it was a perfect day to daydream about a magical vacation where it was warm and sunny and other people did all the cooking and cleaning.

Rice a Roni is a fine late nate snack. Just saying... I have a big unopend bag of Lindt Truffels at work (courtesy of the boss). The coworkers keep eying it, they long ago ate their own. But I am resisting. I love them (especially the dark ones), but I have to be in a chocolate mood.
