GOOD MORNING!
Hope this post finds you all well. Been busy here with cub scouts, church, etc. Mimi had a display of three drawings at the fine arts open house on Friday so I went to that.
Last night was my first night
wrapping gifts at the Amazon warehouse here in town. It's a fundraiser for Emily's church trip to Disney on MLK weekend. I wrapped 74 gifts @ 60 cents each in four hours last night and I was in "training" for the first 15-20 minutes of the shift. Not bad. I think Mimi is going with me on Thursday. On week nights you get 75 cents/gift.
I have done next to NO Christmas shopping. I'm starting to get a little frightened.
I have skimmed periodically this week when time allowed. Just a few shout outs.
Wendee....You are a lovely thong-laden pioneer woman. Was Norah wearing one too?

Oooo....and the Christmas tree is spectacular as always.
Lynette.....I'm not one bit surprised that your children are as brilliant as they are beautiful.

Congratulations! (I always shed a tear at the teacher conferences...in a good way.)
DTD....Where are you staying in January? I got some REALLY good news this week. OhMari told me that even if we arrive on the 3rd, the resort will have to issue our tickets if we request...even though our package doesn't start til the next day! So I do get to see the Christmas parade, castle lights, and ride Splash Mt. after all!
Mrs. The King....You are a comic genius of trip reports. I concur with DTD that you are spit-on-the-screen funny. (Even though I can't imagine DTD drinking Diet Coke?) Anywho....we are pleased and honored to have you among us. Welcome!
Celery.....You're having your family over to the breadman's house? This is getting serious. Are we expecting something sparkly for Christmas? When are you taking breadman and breadkids to Disney World?
Monica! You wear a two piece?

Have fun on your trip, darlin!
Marita....Hmmmmm....There's always artichoke dip. And my favorite Christmas-y appetizer is a wheel of brie (slightly warmed) then topped with a sauce made with one can whole berry cranberry sauce, 1/2 cup orange marmalade (or mango chutney is goog too), and a tablespoon or two of bourbon. Just warm the sauce ingrediants on top of the stove until they are just bubbly and pour over the brie. Serve with crackers. Voila! Also, I like to do a red/green veggie tray with asparagus and red pepper spears. Very festive...serve with ranch dressing. Oooo....also....what about that fake crab dip? Get some imitation crab in the seafood section at your grocery and chop it really fine. Add mayo and chopped celery and serve w/ crackers. Or. Easiest of easy.....shrimp try. Is there dinner too or just apps? When is this shindig? PS....big hugs for Moo on Tuesday.
PJ....You are a freakin genius! Congratulations on your goog evaluation. What's your secret to keeping the kids quiet? I will impose it at the next den meeting.
Pumba....I have a tempurpedic mattress and the memory foam is comfy but hot. If you find it too hot...get a pillow top mattress pad and you should be fine. Besides it adds to the cushy comfort. I love my bed.
BNCG.....
MommyP....I promise I'll play soon. Promise.
Rob.....How are things in KC? You never say what you're doing...just drop by to make snarky comments. Oh...how's our new driver doing?
Allie, Sandy, Lil G, WT (I know you're out there), and everybody....
Sorry I missed
Moo, Nabbie, and Twink. Hope you're all having fun!
HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY, EVERYONE!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
