Deep breath, Mony, deep breath!

You WILL make it! It's so close now!
And what if you spend an extra few $$ at this point? You are going on VACATION! The rest be danged! It's pennies on the dollar!

I just spent an hour looking at cookie recipies online. And I came to terms with myself.

A) I dont eat cookies anyway (what was I thinking?)
B) Fat chance I will ever bake any ( think I might have made some slice up cookies ONCE)

For some reason, I got this vision of chocolatty (with fudge) cookies with nuts in my head, but I gave up on it finally.
Time for a nap, hopefully not till 2:30 again!

1. ha. true.

2. watch it there mister. i smell quite nice!!!!

3. oh the eyeroll is a GREAT comeback. thanks for playing. you lose!
2. As I said, I'm glad you finally found SOMETHING to do the trick.

3. The "miracle product" comment was my snarky zinger. I didn't want to "pile on".

Your gonna shoot your eye out.

LOL! Funny, MTK!

Anyone want to take bets on me actually baking anything??

However, on my past 2 trips to the grocery store, I looked for both a tray for deviled eggs and a bag to stuff them with, you know, with the spout thing. At my advanced age, I thought maybe I should get some. But no such luck. So I might have to venture to Walmart.
Which is also highly unlikely...... BUT it might happen due to the season.

But first up is lunch with Moo and Mari at Le Cellier on Tuesday. Since DD decided she was going to make dinner for 25 this year, I'll leave it up to her to decide what to serve.

Sorry, stream of conciousness here, I figured it's slow, so I'll just jabber. I'll shut up now.

OK. Here they are! Our church Christmas party was themed "Christmas in Nauvoo" which was set in 1844 early LDS church so we dressed up in period clothing.

First, "the dress" OY! it was heavy! We'll call this one "Nice"...

Alright, it's dead as dead can be around these parts tonight.

So I just finshed talking with my BFF. Who said he has never seen "A Christmas Story" It's only been around for 25 years or so!! :confused3

So he did not really appreciate my leg lamp the way it should be :sad1:

Happy Sunday to all!

Wendy Lou Who, forgive my "dead as can be" post, I missed yours.
You are some vixen pioneer woman! You could sell calendars, I bet!
But then, I already knew that. That "naugty" pic is, well, good! :)

Looks like a great time for all.

::yes:: I agree. You "rocked" that dress Breezy.

Thanks BFF, and BSG!

I just barely peeled off all the layers and layers of peticoats and slips I had to wear underneath. Under alllll that I chose my most intimate pieces of lacy elastic who's sole job was to BE a wedgie and make me feel a little less prim and proper. ;)

I have a fever of 101* as we speak. And my sinuses are plugged. I betcha I'll be snoring loudly tonight. My whole body is achy. Sounds like I may have a raging case of the flu!

Oh NO, Wendy!! My solution to everything achy is Nyquil and a nap! Feel better!!!

GOOD MORNING! :santa:

Hope this post finds you all well. Been busy here with cub scouts, church, etc. Mimi had a display of three drawings at the fine arts open house on Friday so I went to that.

Last night was my first night wrapping gifts at the Amazon warehouse here in town. It's a fundraiser for Emily's church trip to Disney on MLK weekend. I wrapped 74 gifts @ 60 cents each in four hours last night and I was in "training" for the first 15-20 minutes of the shift. Not bad. I think Mimi is going with me on Thursday. On week nights you get 75 cents/gift.

I have done next to NO Christmas shopping. I'm starting to get a little frightened. :scared:

I have skimmed periodically this week when time allowed. Just a few shout outs.

Wendee....You are a lovely thong-laden pioneer woman. Was Norah wearing one too? Oooo....and the Christmas tree is spectacular as always.

Lynette.....I'm not one bit surprised that your children are as brilliant as they are beautiful. :) Congratulations! (I always shed a tear at the teacher conferences...in a good way.)

DTD....Where are you staying in January? I got some REALLY good news this week. OhMari told me that even if we arrive on the 3rd, the resort will have to issue our tickets if we request...even though our package doesn't start til the next day! So I do get to see the Christmas parade, castle lights, and ride Splash Mt. after all!

Mrs. The King....You are a comic genius of trip reports. I concur with DTD that you are spit-on-the-screen funny. (Even though I can't imagine DTD drinking Diet Coke?) Anywho....we are pleased and honored to have you among us. Welcome!

Celery.....You're having your family over to the breadman's house? This is getting serious. Are we expecting something sparkly for Christmas? When are you taking breadman and breadkids to Disney World?

Monica! You wear a two piece? :worship: Have fun on your trip, darlin!

Marita....Hmmmmm....There's always artichoke dip. And my favorite Christmas-y appetizer is a wheel of brie (slightly warmed) then topped with a sauce made with one can whole berry cranberry sauce, 1/2 cup orange marmalade (or mango chutney is goog too), and a tablespoon or two of bourbon. Just warm the sauce ingrediants on top of the stove until they are just bubbly and pour over the brie. Serve with crackers. Voila! Also, I like to do a red/green veggie tray with asparagus and red pepper spears. Very festive...serve with ranch dressing. Oooo....also....what about that fake crab dip? Get some imitation crab in the seafood section at your grocery and chop it really fine. Add mayo and chopped celery and serve w/ crackers. Or. Easiest of easy.....shrimp try. Is there dinner too or just apps? When is this shindig? PS....big hugs for Moo on Tuesday.

PJ....You are a freakin genius! Congratulations on your goog evaluation. What's your secret to keeping the kids quiet? I will impose it at the next den meeting. :)

Pumba....I have a tempurpedic mattress and the memory foam is comfy but hot. If you find it too hot...get a pillow top mattress pad and you should be fine. Besides it adds to the cushy comfort. I love my bed.

BNCG.....:wave2:

MommyP....I promise I'll play soon. Promise.

Rob.....How are things in KC? You never say what you're doing...just drop by to make snarky comments. Oh...how's our new driver doing?

Allie, Sandy, Lil G, WT (I know you're out there), and everybody....:wave2:

Sorry I missed Moo, Nabbie, and Twink. Hope you're all having fun!

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY, EVERYONE!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

OMG! LEXY! That is soooooooo funny. I have more material in my one piece than all the bunny's in hugh's mansion.

Seriously, no skin is exposed I don't want to frighten any children.

I remember the scene I caused when I took up jogging last summer.

Hey, nice to see you around these parts. You are missed.
I am happy for your January trip.

Wendy: HM chicken soup. Take some tylenol. get warm. Feel better. Hugs to you.

Marita: Have fun at your lunch. Le Cellier is soooo yummy!

Hi Rob

Mrs The King nice to meet you.

Moo...hope you had a nice meet with NAB! How cool that you got to see them in the airport, too. :goodvibes Hope you're still having a great time in the World!

L...genius move on the finger burning. No, really. Would you rather? ;)

MommyP...How was Disney and meeting the Twinks?! Or maybe you're not back yet. When does Twink get back?

Marita...I would just like to take this moment to acknowledge your lamp. It is a very nice lamp and I'm glad it brings you such joy. I don't know that I've ever seen such happiness brought on by a picture of a lamp in a signature, but whatever floats your boat. You know I'm teasing...nice lamp!
p.s. a mom sent in a bunch of videos for me the other day. Mostly they were Schoolhouse Rock, but A Christmas Story was also thrown in there. Is that really appropriate to show to 2nd/3rd graders?

bbn..don't even be thinkin my "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" obsessed mind didn't get your reference. Because I did. So there. HOWEVER, you are still crazy. Certifiable, even.

Lexi...wanna come wrap some presents for me? Come on, you know you want to!! And the super secret trick to keeping my kids quiet is a complex system of bribes and threats. Mostly threats. BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!! jk, jk.
p.s. Jeremiah 29:11 was my class verse in High School. :goodvibes

Wendy...great dress! :thumbsup2 I can't believe all those adults dressed up. And Norah's wedgie is too funny. She's shameless! lol
Hope you feel better soon!

Why does Sunday always turn into a day of doing nothing fun in order to get ready for the upcoming week. I'm planning on going running to kick off the day's events.

Monica- I hear ya on the swimwear! I also wear a danger-zone-disguising sarong so as not to cause a stir.
I have NO appetite but am on extra strength Tylenol and vitamin C (1,000 mg.) and hot tea. Thanks mom!

Melinda- NOT exactly a thong by design ;) THANKS! Norah's tights were even too big so I don't know what her issue was :sad2:

Peejay-Thanks! I've been meaning to tell you that your newish siggie picture is REALLY fabulous! I love it!

Peej, thank you very much for your lovely comments regarding my lamp. You have to get joy where you can find it!
I would probably not show "Christmas Story" to 2/3rd graders without parental consent. There are some parts some parents might object to.

Melinda, great to see you pop in again! Thanks for the suggestions, I'll copy them to my recipes along with Pumba's mousse.

Wendy, feel better! :grouphug:

MommyP, we need a Twinkie mini-meet update stat. With pictures!

Celery, how did the dinner with the parents go? popcorn::

Moo, get on your batphone and give us an update please!

Hope everyone is having a great day! It's another perfect sunny day here today. Our travellers got lucky with the weather.

ETA: So I am finally reading OhMari's (Disboard Mod on the Trippie board) TR and saw this post:

Monday afternoons are the busiest on the DIS Boards. Just a little insider information for ya.

Who knew? :confused3

Greetings from EPCOT! It is a tad chilly today. Mari nixed doing a split day that included AK, so we're just at EPCOT today. A psychotic squirrel kept trying to get some of the fish and chips we had for lunch @@ It practically climbed up on Mari's shoulder. After that, we worked our way around the world. Lots of folks are wearing dream ears here.

We spent a full day at MK yesterday. The castle lights are gorgeous. It was a zoo there due to the parade taping, but we did pretty much everything we wanted to.

I hope to meet up with Twink at HS tomorrow. That's it for now - we're off to do Future World stuff and listen to Off Kilter later.

Wendy - Great pictures. You're such a skank. ;o) Hope you feel better soon.

We left early this morning(6:40am) so we could make it to church, which we did. :cool1: After lunch this afternoon I conked out on the couch.

We had a great day. We got their about 9:30am and went straight to Living With the Land. Isaac LOVED it! His little head whipped around from one thing to the next. After that we waited at the Exit to Spaceship Earth for Twinkie and family to get off the ride. The girls were all decked out in their lime green. So cute! They are the sweetest! They clung to Chad like magnets and talked his ear off. The taller of the Twinkie Twins kept pulling her brush out of her purse and brushing her hair. It was adorable! My boys don't even own a brush.
Twinkie was super sweet! We had a great time talking for about a half hour. Grasshopper was sleeping at first, but then he woke up so we were able to get a picture of Isaac and him together. Isaac just wanted to be able to play with him.

I took a couple pictures, but haven't loaded them onto the computer yet.

Isaac never slept ALL day. But he was as happy and good as can be. We walked the WS, sat around in the UK for at least an hour feeding the baby and people watching. It's our favorite of the countries.
Later in the day we went to ride The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Isaac clapped and waved. So we took him on Figment next. Where he danced and pointed at Figment every time he appeared. When it was closer to our dinner time at The Yachtsmen we went over there and sat in the rockers outside the Yacht Club until 6. We ordered and ate our appetizer when I had to make a sudden and lightening fast trip to the ladies room. lol! When I got back I took the baby out and Chad told them I was sick and paid for what we had already eaten. I visited every bathroom between the Yacht Club and the one at the McDonalds place. Stopped in the First Aid for some relief. lol. We hightailed it to our hotel. I was actually fine after that last trip to the bathroom. What a bummer! We had a nice dinner planned and then were going to actually stay for Illuminations. Instead we had to sit in the hotel room from 8:30 on. Chad was asleep before Illuminations even started though. lol. Apparently my stomach is reverting back into it's old self where I can't eat much of anything without getting sick.
