I burned the pad of my right thumb making supper for the kids, and am now experiencing a very UNcomfy sizzly feeling. It was burned so badly that it blistered almost immediately. Youch. Not one of my better moves.

I'm Donald, aka one of The Big Guys. Older than dirt and eternally single. I cook for a children's behavioral hospital. As Celery said, I have nieces and a nephew, and ONE of the nieces has a 1 yo that is the light of my (and everyone's) life. I just got back from Disneyland at the end of October and am headed back to the World in January.

I worked for a time in a Home for Children. The next stop was the hospital if they could not get the help they needed where I worked. I wonder if that is similar to the place you work at?

She also goes to school (and not cheating online school like me) AND has a daycare with a billion more kids.

I went christmas shopping today and the disney store had princess dresses and shoes 50% off!

Getting a late start. I was tired this morning. Isaac woke up at 2:22, since he has a cold I brought him into bed with me. WHich means from 2:22 to 3:22 I didn't sleep really well.

I went for a nap at 8pm or so and woke up at 2:30 So I have been up ever since, reading the CB and TRs and fighting with my highspeed yet again! It is now 6:16 AM.

Let's see, we have Moo and Twinkie and Nab missing, with Mony not far behind, busy packing. Oh, and MommyP tomorrow too.

Yep, going to be quiet around these parts for a few days.

I wonder if I will ever get a Disney vacation in my life, LOL.

Hubby got up early to be first in line to get his hair cut and he put the coffee on......Megara was a bed hog last night....but she is a warm bed hog...
We went looking for mattesses last night again and one saleperson was down right rude....saying ....if we like our water bed then why are we looking for a mattress........Now do I have to answer him.....NOPE......so we would not buy one from him........he did have a pillow top simmons ........NICE.....but it was floor model and it was dirty on the sides......YUCK......I want a bed that someone else has not laid on....or touched.....yucky....ewwww and all the above...hubby still wants a foam type bed.....so the quest is on for today.......going to Portland to look.....

I hope all our travelers are having a great day....we are in for SNOW....YUCK...but I can stay in the warm house and look at the photos of warm places and be very nice and comfy....

Just paid my electric bill on line and I have to mail out one more bill and we are done for the day.

I'm up again after 2 hours sleep. My sleep pattern has been so messed up for the last couple of day, it's awful!

Weather so far today for our travelers is overcast, but warmish (high of 76). I think the Nabbie family should be checking in on the ship about now. Im guessing MommyP is on the way to meet the Twinkie clan. No idea what Moo is up to. Betting Mony is still packing.
I finally installed my battery in the new laptop after 2 1/2 months....

78 miles later......we got a memory foam from the first place.......oh well......nice and good warranty and we are happy.......so now we have to go and get sheets and stuff for the new bed...you figure we have not had fitted sheets for 29 years.....so off we go after we get this one in to get the sheets and blankets.....

overcast here now and snow is expected tonight into tomorrow......GOOD GOLLY I hate snow......but you all knew it......HAHAHAHA.

YAY for the new bed, Pumba! And new sheets are always nice.

I went food shopping this afternoon. Well, for my food, DH and DD do their own thing. But this lady was pedalling sausage slices. Chef Bruce Aidelle's (never heard of him) smoked chicken and apple sausage. I thought it was yummy, and perfect for an appetizer choice for hosting dinner, served with toothpicks to eat it with. So I picked up a pack of 4 small ones. Sausages, not packs. Should make at least 4 dozen pieces. Made with chicken raised without hormones. No Gluten. No MSG. (Poor chickens!) Fully cooked, slice, microwave and serve!

I am not usually a chicken fan, but those were good!

And I picked up a pack of Boursin cheese. And some bagel chips, And some mini quiches, OK, so I was hungry!! And preparing for the xmas eve party.
Also got a custom made Italian Deli sub (soon to be stuffed in the oven, 1/3 of it)

But in my defense, it was not all fancy smancy not needed stuff, I also got milk (whole, since DD always buys fat free, grrr), eggs and salt pork and Chicago rolls (on sale with $1.30 off, w00t!) And some mini quiches (to see if they would work as apps) and pot pie and lasagne for dinner.

How was that for a truly fascinating post that nobody gives a rat's hairball about?

Here's something that's sooooooo typical of me.


I was smart last week and ordered my new bathing suit cause in August I ditched the old standby, cause the girls were floating to their own tune.....


I checked on Thursday night to see if it was shipped and realized I only ordered the top and not the bottoms.


At this point the on sale bottoms I wanted were sold out. I had to order the way over priced ones,
