Today is not my day to be a teacher. First I cannot find my lecture notes that I made on monday. So after I write 9 pages of notes to print out to help me guide my darling pupils through the wonders of kingdom protista, I realize I used the last piece of computer paper to print out scooby doo coloring pages to bribe goldenchild while I was writing said notes.

Yes I could email the file to myself and print it at school but that would require asking someone at school to help me since I never use my office there. In fact they have 9 adjuncts assigned to an office with 4 desks and the more full-timeish teachers have claimed desks so I basically have a key to 8 someone elses-whom I have never met- office. (notice the lack of apostrophes in the above paragraph-like structure)

So I printed on the backs of scrap papers and first grade homework. After I squish it down to 5 pages.

I guess I shouldn't complain. I don't think anyone is going to need to be stablized while I am at work tonight.

Tuesday I went searching for more transfer pipettes and opened a box that was full of dead cats.

At least the college still supplies paper towels and toilet paper. Though we get nasty notes to "be mindful of our paper towel usage".

cel- that looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece, not an amoeba.... anyway we are discussing Euglena because they have chloroplasts and hence are inherently cooler

Cel, sorry about the Breadman situation and not getting the promotion.

Knitfreaks fiance called her at 1am this morning to ask her to bring him money for gas so he could get home from work. I asked if he didn't have a credit card, and she said no. He withdrew his money from the bank in Tallahassee and stuffed it in a drawer. The day before he forgot his pain medication AND his food. And apparently has money problems. And memory issues apparently. I'm not so sure about this guy....

The dis crashed and burned on me last night. I guess it was the sign that the posting frenzy needed to come to a halt.

bbn...last night I dreamed that Hollywood died and it was horrible and I woke up screaming and I had to call her at 3am to make sure she was alive. She enjoyed that call, btw. Anyway, as I was trying to fall bACK asleep, I thought of you and the clown. I told you to tell a nice bedtime story!!!!!!!!!!!

Marita...thanks for checking on the tp situation for me. That is such a strange thing to have under lock and key considering all the other stuff that is readily available for stealing by cast members. Not that I can think of anything that could be stolen from Chef Mickey's.

Nothing exciting to report. I got observed again today. It went very well. Actually, it went poorly, but I wanted it to. I'm trying to get this child referred for special services so they were in there to observe him. I was afraid he was going to act like a little angel while they were there but he pulled out all the stops. He even threw an f-bomb in there! I think we're going to be able to get him the help he needs. Not only will this make life easier for me, but it's really, really good for him. Just keep your fingers crossed that it all falls into place. I believe I shall be heading to the gym.
