We are having such beautiful weather here the last few days I have been out and about.

I was at the kids school this morning for mass. I can't believe how well 700 kids do in a gym sitting on the floor for an hour. Hannah is in the choir and wanted me to here her sing One Tin Soldier.

Nicholas went to the Zoo yesterday and bring her back a key chain that said Princess on it. I thought wow I would have guess he would spend his free money on candy. He also got himself a pad of paper with a Panda on it.

Moo-- glad you and your car are alright and no one else was hurt. Scary stuff.

They showed your voting form on our news yesterday...that is one long ballot. We have a ballot with 4 names on it make an X and your done. Liberal, Conservative, Independant and green party.

Zack's number 1 pick on his list

This is what my 10 year old son listed, once again, as his most wanted item for christmas. I think my husband might tell Santa yes this year.

I need pros and cons! Please!
Be thankful it's not the Polaris 4 wheeler each of my boys want. Evidently, Santa has more money than we do :confused3
IS there an equivalent to "You'll shoot your eye out" for scooters?

1.Our weather can be summed up with one word: SNOW. Want some? :flower3:

2.They sit nicely on the gym floor because they're young. SIGH. I sit on the floor for a grand total of 30 seconds before I start squirming (and I have plenty of padding) :confused3

3.How sweet! I love kids choirs!!! I especially love that ONE kid who sings louder and off-keyer than the rest :3dglasses

4. LOL! Jordan came home last night as they were announcing Obama's victory and declared, "Good, looks like we don't have to move to Canada!"* which struck me as funny in so many ways!

the you'll shoot your eye out comment:

The only thing I can think of is: You'll (fall off and) scrape your skin off son!

Mony -- where exactly would your son ride it? The road? To school, the store :confused3 My son would love one too but he would have no where to drive . He doesn't really ride his bike far with his friends. They are pretty cool though because you don't need a license to drive them.

UMA-- no thank you on the snow. I ours will be here any day.

I just finished cleaning out my front flowerbeds and raking some leaves. Still have to do the backyard but ran out of steam. Plus I am pretty sweaty and have to go get the kids soon to take to swimming so I better clean up myself.

Didn't you hear? Santa and the elves' portfolios were over-invested in financials and real estate. The rising cost of reindeer feed and dental benefits (those elves love maple syrup but do not love to floss) are also hitting the North Pole Industries pretty hard this year.

My kids have been warned. ;)

Mony - My boys have the smaller size razor dirt bike and they love it. I can't even think of any cons. It provides so many hours of fun. Well there is one con, they tires are always going flat because of the stupid sandspurs.

Heya Moovers! Happy Humpday to all.

Today I accompanied Natasha's Brownie troop to a local museum. It's right here in our town..it was once the home of a prominent local man who fought in the Revolutionary War. It was built in 1730, and much later served as part of the Underground Railroad...it even has a small room which can only be accessed thru a secret door. So cool! I love history, especially when it's right in my own backyard. :goodvibes

things my daughter will NOT recieve this year: pink nintendo DS, tv in room, a pony

Hmmm.....except for the pink Nintendo DS (which she already owns), Natasha's Christmas list is strikingly similar to your Twinkie twin's. This despite the fact that DH and I have told Natasha repeatedly that she needn't bother asking Santa for a TV in her room, since she and her brother are on Santa's "no TV" list at our request.

So, Twink...what do you think the Clausmeister WILL be bringing the girls this year? popcorn:: Are your girls as frenzied over Tink and her fairy cohorts as Natasha is? We've watched the Tink movie twice since Sunday, and are knee-deep in books, dolls and other assorted fairyphenalia.

Everyone else: sup? How's things?

Hi Lynt!

Nothing much to report on my end, ordinary boring day!

Did you meet up with the HoTtCollege chick today? If so, we need a report.

Oh, and DH said he is considering cable phone service, and cancelling our land phone lines (had this number for 35+ years), including my second line for internet backup. I thought it was $10 a month, but he said it's $22. So that and $15 a month for my MSN account is a bit steep for internet interruption insurance. I might go into a panic mode once I have no backup  It tends to go out me when I am working on a rush work project. Well, it usually is back within a hour, but I panic, LOL.

My JC Penny's order of sweaters arrived today. Haven't opened it yet. I'm askeered!

On toy shopping, glad I am out of that business. DH buys everything (and goes way overboard every year). Well, not toys anymore, just stuff! And he labels every gift with a "from the XX elf". As in sleepy elf (say for an alarm clock), travelling elf (suitcase), etc., which is really funny. You all should see the mail he gets around xmastime, like 3 inches thick each day with catalogues.

Marita, the BBN and I are slated to have dinner on Friday night with our respective DHs. We will be meeting in the North End of Boston, which is renowned for its Italian restaurants, cafes and bakeries. There will quite possibly be photographic evidence of this meeting, which may be posted briefly sometime this weekend. Just saying.

I love your DH's way of tagging Christmas presents.....so cute!

Open the sweaters, already!

Open the sweaters, already!

OK, OK, I just did!

3 are just what I hoped, the other 2 are about a 6 out of 10. Still, $112 for 5 sweaters including shipping is pretty dang goog! The were all marked down from over $30 or $40 to around 12-15 or so. So if you are in the market, you might want to check out Penney's. And they appear to fit too!!

PS: Twinkie doesn't mind if BBN takes her husband to Boston?

Well, BH, I would have to say that my hubby is NOT very happy  He was pretty mopey last night, but not quite so bad tonight. Certain aspects of my job will become better with a new head of EPA :yay:

Lynette! Yay for your upcoming meet!!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing some pics :thumbsup2

Do you know whether the other hotT college chick is back to work? Hope she had a fab visit to the World.

I'm doing the one month happy dance tonight! :dance3:

Marita - I'm with you about being happy not to have to shop for the latest toys. We've reached the point where money is preferred. Plus a few stocking stuffers for our DD which can be fun to shop for. Love you hubby's gift labeling too! :)

I'm SO happy not having to listen to political ads and phone cals any more!

Moo, YAY on the 1 month countdown! We'll have to plan a Dismeet at some point.

I think PJ said she will be back tomorrow night.

My kids would like money too, but DH INSISTS on stuff. He gets great joy out of having the (ADULT) kids unwrap stuff and the whole shopping and wrapping and labeling business. They have to post wish lists, but he always gets extra stuff. I could retire now with all the stuff he bought if he hadn't bought it, LOL.
Plus he would give them money if they need it. He wears funny xmas ties (Disney) and hats too.

Yes, I know! :sad2: How we ever got married is a mystery to me! :rolleyes1

Nah, they share quite nicely. Such a neat little arrangement, that.

I'm sure BBN and I will have much to talk about. ;)

As for Peej, I believe that she goes back to LooUhVuhl sometime tomorrow.

Marita, your husband sounds like a hoot! LOVE his holiday spirit!

Howdy Moovers!

I love Calvin and Hobbes! It was the only cartoon I ever read in the funny section. It was so deep. Very powerful.
Me too! :thumbsup2

I hate being sick!!!!!
Me too! :guilty: (not that I am BUT I hate it)

DH got the kitchen TV working again, after he claimed for 2 days he had no idea how, and then it took him 1 minute once he tried! Oh well, at least it's working.
Hmmm, sometimes us men types just have to ponder a repair for a while before we can do it.

Marita-- I can't even think of when my kids actually drive. Did you dd dress up tonight?
Ugh! Me either, NAB, but DS15 becomes DS16 in less than a month. For the past month, he's been asking to borrow the car "just to drive to his friend's IN the neighborhood" even though he doesn't have his license yet. Uh, no! Accidents can happen IN the neighborhood too. :sad2:

Then I worked on Sunday and one of the new nurses was having a bad day and couldnt get an IV started, so to boost her confidence, I told her she could try to start one on me. But she missed. and then she missed again. and then again.

Finally, she said "I give up". But she looked like she was going to cry, so I picked out a big vein and said "Try right here. One more time"

She got it! When I came home the kids asked why I had band-aids all over my arms. The things I do for my coworkers!:rotfl:
Awww, what a good coworker buddy you are!

I was all revved up for a wait-wait based on the early voter-voting lines that were obnoxiously long.
Got a swell sticker! Shoot, they had tons of stickers. I could have gotten a crap load of free stickers AND a hand-full of free fun-size Snickers that the old people were handing out. Precious slow old people!
You just gotta rub it in, don't you?

There was a bowl of fun-size Snickers that the old people volunteers were pushing. I just made a gigantic sign of the cross and ran away. (Just kidding on that last part).
So, you're saying you DIDN'T run away then? :upsidedow

Harrumph! There were NO Election Day treats passed out at my precinct! But I did get a sticker. Had to get out there to cancel out my hubby's vote ;) Hope my DD isn't having any problems voting in NC.
I didn't get a sticker! They had run out already and I voted before Noon!

Mony - Sorry to hear about your trouble voting  Look at the bright side, though. It was probably a good experience for the kids to experience the polling place. I still remember taking Mari into the voting booth with curtains when she was little. Man, that used to make me nervous worrying that I hadn't put all the levers where they were supposed to go :lmao: I much prefer filling in the little ovals :upsidedow
Here in my county, they did away with the lever voting machines right after I registered to vote (at age 18). I think I may have gotten to vote with them ONE time in November 1986.

Zack's number 1 pick on his list

This is what my 10 year old son listed, once again, as his most wanted item for christmas. I think my husband might tell Santa yes this year.
My DS8 keeps asking for similar products -- dirt bikes, go carts, etc. He also wants Santa to BRING a football field, a baseball diamond, and a go-kart/minibike/ATV course (as if ANY one of those will fit in our backyard). Besides, have you ever heard of such a thing as running ATVs in your suburban backyard? :rolleyes1

1.Our weather can be summed up with one word: SNOW. Want some? :flower3:

4. LOL! Jordan came home last night as they were announcing Obama's victory and declared, "Good, looks like we don't have to move to Canada!"* which struck me as funny in so many ways!
1. We may get ours on Monday when the high is supposed to be in the 30s and the chance of precipitation is 50%.

3. Awwww, shucks. You're not so bad yourself.

4. Hmmm, I don't find Jordan's comment all that dumb.

Marita, I have the same thing (second phone line and a "backup" dialup account for about $35 - $40 total per month). I'd hate to go without mine as well. There have been times where I HAD to chat at night with my "internet friends" about real life stuff and was so grateful to have that backup when my high speed service dropped out on me!

who all is happy with our new president elect???
:yay:

As for Peej, I believe that she goes back to LooUhVuhl sometime tomorrow.
I think so too. She said something last week about being back next Thursday (meaning tomorrow).

Rob, I think I might suck it up and cancel it. Heck, that's 2 bottles of brandy a month! (which I need to cancel too) If it doesntn work out, I will restore it. I'm not sure about giving up the whole landline phone connection though. I read some negative comments, but I cant recall enough rightn now to decide. I need to do more research.

Night all!

Good Morning!

Tomorrow Chad and I leave for WDW! I am going to get us Seasonal AP or Play 4 Day with park hopping. Tomorrow I think the MK is open until 11, so we are going straight there and then Epcot on Saturday. Sunday I think we may hit MGM for opening to ride TSM and then go to Animal Kingdom for a few hours before heading home.

Today I need to do laundry, clean and pack. Yay!

:yay: Happy for you Mommy P was this a last minute trip? The boys must be excited.

I just got back from Costco. What a zoo. They are in full Christmas mode there.

When I was putting my groceries away a brand new bottle of vanilla fell on the floor and broke. That is my first thing I broke on the tile floor. What a mess that was. It went under the fridge too.:headache: My house smells like vanilla now though that is not a bad thing. Vanilla is not cheap though so hopefully I will not do that again.
