Good Morning Cool Kids!
I was up early waiting for PoohGirl and BlowOut Boy (PG and BLOB) and they didn't show! Grrr!
PoohMama just called to tell me she JUST woke up so I'm assuming she's in a dither to get the kids up and get them here which will mean they'll be crying and upset and still in their pee diapers.
She brought us DINNER yesterday when she came to pick them up! So my big (nice) speech was set aside for the time being. I've been thinking a lot about what I should do and here's my wimpy plan:
Plan B: Tell mama TODAY that I can't afford to watch her kids anymore and for her to be looking for a new daycare provider. And as soon as I can replace them (that sounds bad, doesn't it!?) then she's out! I don't want it to be a list of all the things she does to irritate me because that will make her all defensive. I DO want to get across that I'm NOT a free babysitter and need a consistent "payday". I need to be nice because she is my neighbor and want to avoid any huge conflict. I do suspect she'll be really pissy and maybe even cry. I'll feel for her, but STILL!

UGH, it's weigh day! I about killt myself doing last minute cardio last night. I'm *this* close to being in a new set of numbers on my scale. We shall see!

I have had THREE bipolar patients in the last week or so. plus I had a 14, a 15, and a 16 yr old all in one day. I said we need to rename our floor the pediatric psych unit and not the mother/baby unit!!)

This is the most confusing trip planning for me to go to Germany EVAH!

Couldn't go mid septemeber because knitfreak is off for 2 weeks. September 26 is year end, not good! So I thought mid-October. But NO, Brother and SIL are on vacation.
So I told Mom, Novermber then. She freaks abbout being dead by then and suggests I come when brother is out of town. Me not like this idea!!!!!
So call to brother last weekend. He's out of town on business for 2 days.

So today I thought, well, it's really only year end. some reporting, nothing that the office girls can't handle (and boss).

So I called brother today. He likes the idea of me coming a day or so before he leaves so he can pick me up from the airport an hour away, and I can take a cab back. That way they won't have to put mom in short term care for 2 weeks, I can watch her for a week, and a friend can cover the other week. Plus she gets nurses twice a day, and meals on wheels. But he has to check with Mom's friend first, and I have to ask for the time off, so nothing is settled.

So anyway, I figured that might work. It will give me the week after month end to do most of the work.
Looked up LTU, which is a German charter company that flies all over the world. Well, apparently, they merged with some others and are now AirBerlin. I dont know about their flights, but boy has the website changed for the worse!!!!!!!!!
I can pick outbound flight ok, but return flight? NO go! Well, I can specify a desired return day, but then it gives me no information or options to choose after that.
I can't make heads or tails of the total flight. Outbound is $207, fees or taxes are $444 or so, return, no idea Are taxes and fees for one way or both?? I dunno!
I will have to call an actual human person, I think!!!!
Or ask my super samrt BFF if he can figure it out, LOL!

Marita-- I don't think humans answer phones anymore. I feel your pain. Hubby was talking to the computer screen last night too, trying to see what we can do on our up coming trip.

Well, I'm back and doing fine. I'm sporting two matching compression hose. I feel like a human pin cushion. Today's procedure(that's more of what it was instead of a surgery) was a matter of the doc using an ultrasound machine, and injecting stuff (don't really know what it was) into certain veins. Some hurt more than others. I was in a room kind of like what you are in for your yearly "lady" visit. I had to stand on that little platform, and lean against the table, while he injected my veins. Sometimes, I may have leaned over the table and said "OUCH" a few times.

All is well though. I was able to drive myself back home (25 min. drive), and stop by the vet to pick up Trixie, who has had another allergy flare up, and is now on prednisone (sp?). Luckily, the dr. (who I go to church with) only charged me a follow up visit charge instead of a "walk in the door" more expensive charge. It may or may not have had anything to do with me explaining that I was having a procedure done today in which my costs were undetermined. Also, I found out that DD had already filled in the Dr. about Trixie's condition while he was at school eating lunch with his DD earlier in the week. He also told me that he was certain that DD would fill him in on Trixie's progress on Sunday at church.

Not a Dr Pepper fan myself. But I hear you on drinking any kind of pop before bed. Not to mention having to get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Allie-- Glad you procedure went well. Forgot to say before ,we got a Wii Fit for the kids for Christmas. My sister has it and they loved it. They are very hard to find around here. We just lucked out and got one when a delivery guy just came to a small games store with two.

They say we are in for rain all weekend... Looks like IKE is going to be pretty big in Texas. Our gas prices went up 13 cents over night and they say they will go up another 2 cents tonight bringing it to $1.38/ litre.

I thought DS was planning to leave San Antonio this morning to drive to Colorado, but he called 7:30 his time tonight, and he still hadn't left It's only an hour from Houston. Itold him to get the heck out of dodge, but hubby said :wahtever you think is best!" DANG!

I would love to be a SAHM at this stage in my life, or more precisely, watching grandkids. But it doent look like that is in my future

Lex - Hope you're all recovered tonight We had a smidge of friction with DD last night, so I'm sure she is rethinking moving home. She went to visit a friend in Ann Arbor tonight, so hopefully she'll have somebody to vent to and things will be fine tomorrow. Still no word on the job front.

Dang, the news just said it's past time to leave Texas. I sure hope DS made it out. Why the heck didnt he leave this morning??????? I want to call him, but I don;t dare, I dont want to call him in the middle of a storm while he is driiving! Not that he would likely answer anyway, but I would just worry more!

Oh, and BFF just said that there are gas shortages in Tennessee, EEK! Hope Ds can make ti to Colorado. He's driving a gas hog SUV too!
