I'm finally back(left at 2ish) and everything is put away and dinner is in the oven. Hot wings and frozen pizza. It's become our Friday night tradition. I am not coming home from the store and cooking.

I cheated and went to Publix and Sweet Bay instead of Walmart. So now I have to find an extra $20 somewhere to make up for that.

Hopefully I can get it from the electric budget. We budget $250 for that, thankfully we've been able to stay below it this year. It would be helpful if our windows were more than plastic wrap.

Chad working late again tonight. He's missing a church planting meeting. Finally after 9 years of driving 45+ minutes to church they're talking about starting a new one out here. But they're gonna have to realize that we can't all have cushy jobs that actually PAY the bills. (our pastors get paid ridiculous amounts of money. )

He should be home by 8.

Here's a sling I made before I went to the store today.

The screen on my camera stopped working last night(after Isaac swung it onto the tile, multiple times.) so we didn't know what the pictures looked like. My brother was pretending to be a photographer for that last one and I was posing differently.


My camera as a replace or fix it at all costs warranty about to expire, which is why we let Isaac play with it.

Mony, I have no idea what House party is either, but you sound excited, so congrats!

BH, glad you got much needed rain. Our grass is growing like weeds with all the rain we get in the summer.
We only got light rain from Hanna today, but IKE sure looks scary

I sure am glad I don't have to deal with kid sports anymore.

Marita - He is so big! He's about 19 pounds now. Yesterday he started letting go of things and taking a step to the next thing. And he took a step or two to me from the coffee table.

Breaking news!

I just asked DD if she was going to Jacksonville this weekend to see her BF She said no, she just got DUMPED tonight!

I said, oh no, what happened??????? She said, "Mom, do I look like I want to talk about it?" So I gave here a hug and let it go. I had my doubts it would work out long distance, but it's only been a couple of months.

This is the BF she graduated from college with in May and took a 3 week trip to Europe with his parents and sister with.

I guess the crockpot that was on loan until (or in Dd's words "IF we break up") will be ours for good. I doubt anyone will make an effort (2 hour drive each way) to return or recover it. Not that I care about that, I never made a crockpot meal in my life. Just that 2 weeks ago, her attitude was "IF" we break up, and now it's over.

Marita-- that's to bad about your dd break up. Hubby and I only had an hour drive from each other when we dated.

Mommy P-- Your a pro now at making those. Love the colour of that one. I missed Twinkie final product.

We didn't get much rain today. It must have missed us for once. Only had a few sprinkles, you blink you missed it. Ike does sound scary , hope it doesn't hit your Marita. The couple that got married last week are honeymooning in the Dominican Republic too and they are right in that path of Hanna and Ike.

MommyP- You are soooo cute! I love the yellow and I don't even like yellow. You and Isaac look great. He is lapping Grasshopper in weight and skillz. Lil G shows no signs of taking steps without furniture. He does climb stairs with speed and stealth.

Hi Nab- here is the sling MP made for me

He likes it but the whole put the baby in the sling and push the preschooler in the stroller does not work for me.... because The Baby keeps trying to lean out of the sling to push the stroller.


Marita- Hang in there with DD. Oftentimes these things work themselves out.

MommyP - There was no availability at all the second week of December - I wasn't jsut checking for a discount. There may be some spotty availability here and there and I don't think other weeks in December were quite as booked up.

Cute sling! Isaac is really growing Hope you're able to get away to WDW for at least a short visit around the holidays. If I do a side trip, it'll likely be to my cousin's place in Sebring.

Twink - That would be horrible of your hubby's employer to cut him loose just for taking vacation For me, that's one benefit of working for the gubbermint. I don't think I've ever been denied the ability to take vacation time.

Mony - I've never heard of House Party either Hope you have goog weather for your sports traveling.

Mari called tonight and told us to go ahead and schedule Cash for the surgery so he is going in for his ligament repair on Tuesday. Hope it goes OK.

We're hoping the weather behaves for her drive to NC for her interview Monday. Still no word about the PA job. Fingers still crossed.

Nabbie - It was a gray day again here. We have a local festival going on this weekend, so I'm hoping it's nice tomorrow and/or Sunday so I can go down to the arts & crafts fair and flea market (where they have FAIR FOOD, Lynette!)

Oh, Fair foods reminds me, I had a Muffaletta sandwich today. Not that it is fair food, by any means, but I haven't had one in many years, but it reminds me of things I dont usually have.
We had meeting this morning at Port Orleans 11-12, and afterwards a lot of people decided to head to the Riverside foodcourt for lunch.
It was really good. I might do it again sometime whien I have the time or inclination. It's enough for me for lunch and dinner.
Oh, and they gave me my 20% discount, which is technically blocked out during free dining. Guess both the CM and I forgot about that. So I saved almost $2.

Let me clarify (TMbbn):

He isn't going to be fired for taking a vacation. I just think the timing of the firing is going to coincide with the vacation. Hopefully he will find something else before then.

Our local fair/pioneer days/historic celebration is going on currently. I had some fair food. It gave me a tummy ache. I saw big hair and deep fried twinkies and deep fried oreos. Tomorrow we might get up and watch the parade. Or not. It is a busy day of kids' social activities.

Natasha had a play date with one of her friends today. It was originally supposed to be at the friend's house, until the mom called me this morning to ask if I could host instead. I said yes, even though I WAS hoping to use that time for some mother/son time with Boris. So the mom dropped the friend off here at 4, and it was decided that she'd stay until about 6:45. Well, the mom didn't pick her up until nearly 7:45! And then she talked and talked until nearly 8:15! Ack! It was the playdate that would not END!

There is a parade tomorrow for our local festival too! Not sure if I'll go. It will depend on whether the weather is decent. It was rather carpy last night, so we didn't go to the car show this time. In addition to being rainy, my hubby didn't want to participate in the car show this year because he thinks the guy who's in charge is an idjit (former classmate).
