Pumba - Poor Megara! We used to have to have that done to Bruno, our beagle/coonhound mix, so he wouldn't drag anchor across our floors I wonder if it is breed-related.

Glad we're not having stormy weather.

Hubby took hs Barracuda to a car show but didn't win anything today.

I'm off to check my Scrabble games. I was glad to see that they're still there!

we had another dalmatian for 8 years....she had cancer and we had to put her down.....she didnt have this problem......just some dogs get rid of it when they go potty and others dont.....obviously MEGARA is a dont....and Jasmine was a did.......hahahaha......she is giving her papa the hairy eyeball......Like let me out for last pee pee and give me my bone......she is a dog that is used to a schedule.......

Nice day here......I did make a big pot of spaghetti sauce and meatballs......good gosh I make good ones......delicious......

I am tired already......and its not even 8......old age crept in when I wasnt looking...

Pumba, spaghetti and meatballs sounds good! Mostly the meatball part.
I got burnt out on pasta with any kind of red sauce when DS went vegatian for a couple of years about 10 or 12 years ago. Dang, I can't believe it's been that long already!

I made more chicken a la king tonight.

Moo, I a had a lazy saturday at home too. Not like that is anything unusual for me, LOL.
I think I will go online shopping here in a bit.

I am watching "Snacks Unwrapped" and watched how they make Twinkies.. I'd never have thought I'd care, LOL It takes about 55 minutes to make a Twinkie, and the filling is pushed in from the bottom.
OK, it's 92 degrees here, and about to go shopping for a cable knit turtle neck sweater or 3 for Germany, and probably some blouses for work and graduation, (online, you didn't think I'd leave my couch, did you?)

Oh, and Lexi, the tickets are to give away. I get admission for myself and another person pretty much any time I want (well, except blackout periods), but these come in handy when a relaive comes to town. I used to get 8 a year when the kids where dependents, now I am down to 4 a year. And now they expire after 1or 2 years.

GOOD MORNING!

I had to kick a few tumble weeds on my way in. Pretty quiet here yesterday.

Party went well. 8 kids total. The one little girl DID show up and didn't even seem to notice she was the only female. I think a good time was had by all and the boogery party favor was a big hit. Thanks again for all the advice.

After the party Emily forced me to take her to the mall. It was like Black Friday out there. We had to cruise around for 15 minutes before we found a parking space. You know how you have to resort to stalking people that are walking to their cars? That was us. Em needed some jeans for school and they were having a special at Pac Sun. She also purchased some mirrored aviator sunglasses. Heh.

After the mall I worked at wuckety job #2 where they are never going to find my replacement if I keep showing up when they call. Then we went to our friends' house for dinner. It was a shrimp boil.....delicious!!! Where I almost fell asleep after dinner because I was soooo exhausted.

Hound.....Have fun is loo-uh-vull with the lil man.

Moo.....Put me down for the crunchy Cheetos. The puffy ones taste a little styrofoamish to me but I wouldn't NOT eat them if they were available because anything with that Cheetos cheese flavor is fair game. Our store brand cheetos here are pretty goog too.

Puffy cheetos for me - I think I'm like a vampire when I eat them!! (suck out the life, and then let them melt in your mouth!!) DD thought she liked the hot crunchy ones - I still have a few fun snack size bags left!!

Finished inputing addresses for ds wedding list. We then had to sample some drink recipes!! I'm trying to make a Blue Drink - like Melinda's siggy drink - but the ice cubes are $2 a piece! the juice makes the blue liquor turn green! (go figure blue and yellow make green!! ) Scored a bottle of lemoncello for $9!! (can go as high as $20!!) one ounce with 4 ounces of pineapple juice is their yellow drink!! (blue and yellow are her colors... we're testing drinks for the Something Old (classic gin martini) Something New (yellow drink) Something Borrowed (a drink from John Hancok's bar or???) Something Blue (still need this - maybe the blue liquour and some white wine! or Champagne!! hey, why didnt I think of that last night!! )

Melinda so you called and cancelled? so sad... We've paid for our airline tickets, and the room - we just owe for park tickets and food (another $1,000!!) I'm just not sure we're going to make that!! College bill, wedding bills, hosting a shower - bills.... my vacation fund keeps getting dipped into!!

heading to a coworkers of dh pool party today! I made a dessert to take - Mock Eclair - graham crackers, custard filling, more crackers, more custard, more crackers, then top that with chocolate!! YUM

Morning everyone.

It is sunny and already humid......but it beats the rain we had last week. Hubby made bacon and eggs and toast with coffee for breakfast. I love it when he tell Megara he is going to do breakfast meat for us......then I know I dont have to ...on the weekends he makes coffee and I can start off with my morning ration.
Marita ...if I make a big pot of sauce and meatballs and sometimes I put in hot or sweet sausage, then for another meal we can have meatball or sausage subs. YUMMY.......spaghetti is rationed for me......I only can have one cup of pasta in any form......I know geesh why bother....but every once in a while I like to do this.......then I cant have any breads......and I love garlic bread with my pasta.....I didnt test high this morning so I assume that I did good.....hahaha.

Megara is sitting in her sunbeam cause we have the ac on ....that has been going pretty straight the last few weeks.......

Hello, Moovers! I am currently in Ohio. At least for a couple hours!! We had a great time in Disney and my sister and cousin got to see a few colleges. We spent our last 4 nights bum-laying at the beach. All in all it was an absolutely wonderful trip and a really fun summer. Weather was great and everyone had fun. Yesterady my aunt, cousin, and I made the 14 hour drive back to Ohio. The rest of my family is stilll at the beach. I need to be heading to my new home shortly because my new teacher induction starts tomorrow. It's all day every day next week. Wish me luck! I don't have internet set up in my apartment yet, so I might go missing for a few more days here, but I'll try to check in when I can. Hugs to all!

Lexi, no, I don;t order clothes from Germany, I was looking at imported FOOD from Germany, and clothes from regular US sites. But I did not order anything from anyone. Sadly! Glad the party went well!

Sandy, the tasting sounds like fun! Hope you get to go on your trip.

DS called this morning. He said the officers club was cool. At some point some officer yelled "Roach" and pointed to a bar stool. Then people dropped to the floor with arms and legs flaying, pretending to be dying roaches. The people still standing had to buy a round of drinks. Aren't you glad you are in such great hands with our military?

He was also pretty miffed COT's (Commission Officer Trainees) Those are professionals like doctors and nurses that dont necessarily even have gotten their degrees yet, just signed up. And they get to go to the Officer Club and wear civilian clothes from day one. I think he feels they haven't earned their rights yet, like he did with 3 months of misery, LOL.

Oh and he said one guy that was "Recycled" (meaning he didnt pass the first time and has been there since December, but finally (so far) made it) got totally drunk and vomited all over the club and on the bus. NOT a good sign for that guy, I fear

Food Network is running a marathon of "The Next Food Network Star" this afternoon. Finale tonight at 10pm.
