Mony, you snuck in on me! that was so cute! Congratulations!

Your reward for an awful day!

Dear Moo and MommyP -

I tried.
Really hard.
But I suck at scrabble!
And I hate doing things I suck at.

Please still love me?

Love,

Celery

Dear Babycow -

I got out of the game! Woo!
And I also gave you something to zip it about.
Muahahahaha!

Now to find a game I'm good at....

Love,

Cel

Mony, sorry about the flooding.

Pumba, I missed what your appt was about?

Marita, my sister had to have a double mastectomy a few years ago. So, my doctor sent me right then for my first. Today was my second, since I am now 40. They will be able to compare my last one to this one to check for changes.

So sorry about your sister!
Yes, I think that would be a very motivating factor to go!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I almost thought I saw WT at Kona today. Guy around 40's, 3 kids about the right age and a blonde wife. But the nose didnt look right from what I remembered. Oh well! That would have been weirrd anyway, LOl! (not that I specifically remembered WT's nose, but this guy had a particularly sharp one) And yes, I pondered it for a bit......

"hi, WT, I'm Marita from the Dis"
WT's DW, looking at WT in horror!
WT: it's nothing darling, really, we are just casual aquaintances, she never even attempted to stalk us from behind bushes after all"
WT DW: OH? there was stalking talk?

I think this would make a great ADT story line ..........

Steph, yikes on the mammogram. Not that I ever had one, LOL. I was supposed to have one years ago and never got around to making an appointment. :rolleyes1

Moo, hope you are not losing power and/or Internet AGAIN!

Moo checking in! We didn't lose power last night  BUT I decided I ought to turn the computer off during the storm. Obviously, we didn't get hit as bad as Mony  but it was lightning continuously for a while there.

Marita! Please get a baseline mammogram scheduled! Everyone over 40 should do that. They're really not that bad. I speak as someone who lost a mother to breast cancer.

And if you're over 50, you need to get a colonoscopy too!!! Mammograms are a breeze in comparison. Tony Snow just died from colon cancer, but he was high risk due to a family history (his mother died from colon cancer) and he also had had ulcerative colitis for two decades.

You guys need to make sure you do your prostate screening too! And we ladies need to keep current on our annual Pap tests. Please back me up on this, bbn :grouphug: Since you're our favorite medical professional and all

Well, I met Lynette & Co. this morning!!! She was just as snark-tastic, witty, fun, charming, and nice in person. Seriously though, we went to Ohana for breakfast and then I joined the snarkbRitches at Magic Kingdom before I had to go to work and we had a great time. :) They leave Friday but hopefully I can see them again before that!

Tomorrow is my last night at Chef Mickey's.   I could cry. No, really. There are a couple of people down here I am really going to miss. My mom, aunt, sister, and cousin also arrive tomorrow. They are here to do the Disney thing, but also to tour colleges since both my sister and cousin will be seniors next year. After the college tours, we're going to the beach for a few days before we drive home. SO, I might be sparse around here over the next few days.
Yay for meeting Lynette and family!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

We will miss you, Peej, but know you'll be uber-busy wrapping up your job, soaking up the sun on the beach with your family, and getting ready for your new job! :cheer2: :goodvibes :flower3:

We had storms come through here last night, lost power again, but only for 6 hours

BUT!

My basement flooded.

We've been up since 3am extracting water.

Now I give up, and i'm just gonna start ripping the carpet and padding out.

It's ruined.

Did I ever mention thats where I do daycare? My basement?

Oh, the mess I have.
ACK, Mony!!!!!!!!! So sorry you got the brunt of the storm and had such a mess

Loved seeing your mama video. I agree that that was some consolation for having to deal with ripping out the carpeting by yourself . . . yuck!

Moo's fault ..she wanted another pic and thats all rumbly tumbly had left...sorry Thats my sotry and you know the rest
Hee hee hee!!! It was pretty funny seeing those green Crocs :lmao:

Oh, all righhhhhhhhht!!!!! We still :lovestruc ya, Cel! Did you resign?

That's some creative accounting you're doing lately

So sorry to hear that about your sis, but I'm glad you're getting your mammograms, Steph. I started around 40 also.

I don't get it, I really dont!

Hubby bought this net thing to put socks in so they wont get lost in the laundry. Put them in the mesh bag witha zipper to put in the laundry.
So I just matched socks and am left with about 6 or 7 sngle socks!
How does this happen???????:confused3

cy - sounds like a good time! :lmao: Sorry, but I don't have any suggestions on the laundry.

Hi Celery!!! My cat is still PO'd at me - he hasn't come back into the house since the de-skunkifying. A few people have comment on my thread and have posted a few ideas for the clothes.

Cy, hi again. Not sure I remember you, but just ask anyone, my memory sucks!

 How can anyone forget me??

I am sure Babynurse can tell you how wonderful (or is it crazy - my memory sucks too ;) )

But I DO remember you.

Hope you are doing well!!!

I think you must have bought the same type of washer and dryer that I have - mine eat so many socks, they go in and never come out :confused3
I think I should by stock in sock companies:lmao:

Welcome back, Cy!

One of my coworkers has a dog who got skunked this past week. He said he used a commercial de-skunker, but that he learned that you can mix hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and a little soap, but you have to be careful not to get it in their eyes or ears. Not sure how he de-skunkified his clothes after cleaning the wuppie :scared:

So Cy, you were (are) a Marine? I am kind of interested in that since my son is currently in officer training in the Airforce.

Mony -- that baby of yours is so cute!!! Sorry about your basement. What will you do with your daycare now?

Cy-- welcome back.

Celery-- I don't play scrabble either. I am are real bad speller to boot.

Marita -- I lose socks too all the time. Or they will throw away a sock with a hole in it and not tell me and I search high and lo for the missing sock....

Moo-- our storms seem to come in the middle of the night, early morning. Glad you didn't lose power again.

Heading out to the water park againg tomorrow for the weekend. This time with a different child from earlier in the week. This one is a picker eater so I hope it goes well. At least hubby is coming this time to give me a break from watching them...

So Cy, you were (are) a Marine? I am kind of interested in that since my son is currently in officer training in the Airforce.

I was in the Marine Corps from 1985 to 1989. I got out a few months before the 1st Gulf War. I was enlisted and got out as a Corporal.

Both of my brothers also served our country - one in the Army and the other in the Air Force.

..

I think that may be part of my problem, throwing some out. Bt the net thing is fairly new, so that shouldn't be an issue. I guess it's an eternal mystery!

I think the washers really do eat socks!

I know that there is a gremlin in either the washer or the dryer and it eats certain items of clothing.....and bends wires in upper portion holder uppers....but I know that they exist.........oh guess what hubby does.......he gets new socks and writes codes on the bottom....like A or B and so on....so if you get your socks out of the dryer then you match up the two a's and two b;s.....okey....and usually if one sock is getting thin and you are going to throw it away......the other one is close behind.....so toss them both .....he is wicked smart in socks...ROFL..

Java.....I had cataract surgery in june one eye june 11th and second eye june 25.......so had to go back three times in the last week because my glaucoma pressure was up in both eyes.......but not really glaucoma acting up but pressure from the steroid I was doing in my eyes......so got rid of the steriod and onto another drop to see if they can get the pressure down.....it was lower today...so continue on that drop too.....OH WELL...

there is a post on the cb about a snake 8 feet long in Maine found in someones washing machine .....well they took the snake to the same store I was in yesterday buying the kiddos their betas.......godo thing I wasnt there...I would of flipped out.....ewwwwwwwwwwww
