BH, you always post the cutest things. :rotfl2: My gray Garfield is currently sprawled out in the top tray of my two tier plastic file bin on my desk. Oh the life of a cat. . . .

We love Garfeid too and have the Movies and a few stuffed Garfield here and there....my garfield real cat named Tangerine is a red tabby just like Garfeild and sits in my dads computer chair alot. He was a stray young cat that adopted us and didnt play well with the others... we were very patient but he and the others 4 cats could not get along at all even after we had him fixed...so I tried for a few weeks talking my dad into letting him stay with him for a trial period...and its been great for both dad an Tangerine ( Red for short). Red really enjoys all my visits to Bowling Green...this cats is crazy about me an Im the only one he will sit in my lap.....lol

Nab - Fancy Shmancy! Very pretty. And I second Wendy. I LOVE your counters! So beautiful!

Kay - Belated Happy Birthday!

Today I had to drive all the way home in the rain. Ick. The 45 minute drive is bad enough without rain.

I was going to go visit a friend of mine tomorrow. She just had a baby this weekend. But last night my throat started hurting. :sad1: I even have a meal made for her! Not fair!

Last night my paster got struck by lightening. And our associate paster has been struck 2 times in his life. So, if our church ever asks anyone you know to come Paster here, just say no.

He's okay though. He was standing outside, touching his car, so it grounded the lightening enough that it just threw him back and didn't kill him.

Very strange.

MommyP Yikes! What are the chances of you even knowing two people that have been struck by lightning, much less having them both be pastors at your church! What was the topic of the most recent sermon they preached before being zapped?!!

BH Red sounds like a very special cat, albeit a bit temperamental. It's great that he and your dad have become buddies.

Okay, everyone, what's for dinner? If you get to eat anything other than salad I'm jealous. Five more days to vacation. . . then I can have some REAL food. Bring on the seafood platters!

Dinner - (STALKER ALERT!!!) I'm at homewood suites in Albuquerque. They provide "food" every night - but usually it's crappy. Tonight it was pretty good. Tamales. Yum. plus a salad plus cherry cobbler for dessert.

Hi all!

I am watching "Celebrity Feud" Another word for throw-up:

beurk and Zzubbing were not on the list.:confused3

Sis, my dinner is a frozen quiche with a frozen Garlic Texas toast, nothing to be jealous about (but admitted better than rabbit food)
I'm not a salad fan. Well, maybe a chef salad with about 5 gallons of Ranch dressing...

MP, yikes on your pastors, really what are the chances?

Lynt & WT vacation weather update: Thunderstorm at 2, then light rain after that all afternoon, but nothing bad.

Uneventful day at work.

Oh, and I got locked in the garage last night. The spring broke. You CAN'T open a garage door with a broken spring! Remember that! ;) Anyway, the garage door man came early this morning and has fixed our door. :cool1: Now DD can have her b'day party as planned. Let's just say there was some drama last night with her worrying about how we were gonna get to her own party. My MIL is coming, so she would have come and given us a ride, so she didn't have anything to worry about.
Allie - Oh, dear! We have had a broken garage door spring before. I called my hubby to deal with it  Whenever we have a power outage we have to put our garage door up and down by hand. What a pain! That has happened much more frequently than normal this past year :headache:

Hope your DD has a fun-filled birthday party!!!

BH - Thanks for sharing that Christmas in July pic!

Steph - Hope things went OK for your MIL today

I haven't heard from my little sis for probably a week, so I gave her a call tonight. She wasn't home, but I talked with her roommate. She told me that my (half-)sister's dad was put into hospice this past week. I wish she would have called to let me know. I'm sure she has been spending most evenings with him though. Hopefully, she'll give me a call tonight when she gets home. I hope her other half-siblings have been helping her out and spending some time with their dad.

Kay - The birthday pic I left for you has DISappeared. Guess I should have photobucketed it!

I grilled some Schwans sirloin steak for dinner, but my hubby wanted Schwans pizza rolls. I like those pizza rolls, but I'd take steak any day over them. It was thawed so I HAD to cook it :thumbsup2

Moo, Prayers and Pixie dust for your sisters' Dad. Dang, seems a lot of bad suff going around lately.

And so sorry that you just HAD to make the steak, caus it was defrosted.
Way to go! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the well wishes. We won't know anything until the Dr calls us back with the results.

BH[/B] Red sounds like a very special cat, albeit a bit temperamental. It's great that he and your dad have become buddies.

Yup they are...Red has my dad trained well....lol...I made dad a string toy to play with him...they are truely best buudies which is good for dad since mom passed away a couple years ago this past April.

Hi All:... Mickey of our big guys group called tonight an asked me to meet him and Goofy at Beef O'Bradys in Elizabethtown to watch the Allstars Baseball Game... we were talking so much the highlight of the game for me was when Manning almost got hit by the pitcher a couple times....lol ...we... the waither and I were yelling at the pitcher to " HIT HIM" as he ducked out of the way of the pitch....lol..Well about 3 pitches of beer and a massive fest we called it an early night they both have to get up for work early and I have an appt with the massage therapast and chropracter ( I go every 3 weeks due to all my heavy lifting...thanks to Blue Cross and Sheild)and then Im off to Bowking Green.

HI Steph, I guess you liked it?

When is your next update on you trippie? Not that pushing or anything, I know things get busy.

GOOD MORNING!

I start the new job today. I train for a half day then off to the beach. I start full time next Tuesday when we get back.

There was a nice lunch yesterday at the church office and they gave me a cute beach bag and beach towel and there was a $50 gas card and a $50 Cracker Barrel card in the pocket. And a nice card with things that made me cry written inside. I love those people.

Did I mention I got my car fixed....$500. Thank goodness for the tax refund check that came in the mail yesterday.

NAB....The curtains are BEAUTIFUL! Very elegant. I love them!

MommyP.....RE: the sore throat....It's the VBS virus. Remember, I had it too. And about VBS....ours was fun. We did Outrigger Island and bought all the stuff from Lifeway. There curriculum has been really good the past few years. I highly recommend it.

Cel....Good to see you've trained the breadman right. He sounds like a nice guy. :)

Kay....Cute VBS story. Sounds like it could've been my daughter about 10 years ago.

Steph....Sorry to hear about your MIL. Let us know what the dr. says.

Moo....Sorry about your sister's dad.

Wish I could stay and talk but gotta get a sweater and get to the new job!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Can any one help me with this:

I have video uploaded on photobucket.com that I don't have anymore on my computer.

Can you upload it back to your computer?

I need to do some editing for a contest youtube is having and they are giving away a trip to Disneyland. So, I thought, why not?

I just can't get the video back on to my computer, grrrrrr.

MP - Hope you get to feeling better. I'm sure your friend will appreciate the food whenever you are able to get it to her. :thumbsup2

That is awful about your pastor. Although, I think I would stay away from them if a storm blows up. Just sayin'. :rolleyes1

Allie - Oh, dear! We have had a broken garage door spring before. I called my hubby to deal with it  Whenever we have a power outage we have to put our garage door up and down by hand. What a pain! That has happened much more frequently than normal this past year :headache:

We have that problem too when the power goes out. It's really bad when you are on the outside, and don't realize the power has gone out. Let's say you get REALLY wet. ::yes:: Although, without the spring you CAN'T lift it at all, unless you are the HULK. :rotfl2:

DD had a lovely birthday. We just had the cousins spend the night. Slumber parties are much better when it just involves family members. ::yes::

We went bowling, they came home and played Wii (thanks to George Bush and the rebate check ), then we ordered pizza, and had birthday cake. Then they wanted to go swimming after dark. So I took them down to the neighborhood pool at 8:00 last night, and they swam until 9:30. I would highly recommend this action for anyone having sleepovers. :thumbsup2 I had NO problems getting them into bed and asleep. :cloud9:

They woke up at 7:00 this morning, which isn't that bad. They have eaten powdered doughnuts, chocolate chip and blueberry muffins for breakfast. Then we are heading to the mall. I'm going to give them each some money and let them buy whatever they want. Overall I think it has been a successful birthday! ::yes:: I have some muffins left over if you want to make a road trip to AL. :rolleyes1

Good luck at training for the new job, and have fun at the beach. :beach:

Sounds like you did a goog job for the church. :thumbsup2 Those are nice gifts that sound like they can get used real quick. Glad you got the car fixed for not SO much money. Sorry you had to spend your rebate check on it though. :sad2:
