Hey this walk/jogging thing is paying off. I think I can see a slight different in how my clothes are fitting. I am already a big person, so losing 9 pounds doesn't show much yet.

I really need to clean my house too Marita. I keep using my neck as an excuse, but I need to really get down and clean.

I think all the little day care kids are getting sponges today for an activity. And window cleaning rags, since it's all of their fingerprints on there.

After 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours per day in the gym, I can leg press 150 pounds (one time) and have thighs of doom now.

morning......egg lady just delivered my eggs ...Megara smiled at her.....one of my former rug rats....she is just 12 in 7th grade in a few weeks and her mom thinks she can take care of herself......but she is one of those kids that needs someone around....she doesnt like to be alone..I have one girl that comes occasionally....she is just twelve too and going into same grade as other rug rat...but this girl has never been alone .......so to each their own....12 year old kids should not be alone all day while their mom is in another town 30 miles away working.........NOPE.....so one mom works two minutes from their home and she comes here to be supervised....and the other girls mom is 30 miles away and she is on her own.....makes no sense.........the rug rat calls me the junior adult supervisor.....love my new title.......

Well I am officially ticked that scrabulous is gone. I don't like the new scrabble. It's slow and stupid. Last night I played my turn with a 44 point word Za/Zit (I have NO vowels at ALL) and this morning my it wasn't there.

Happy Friday, everyone! It is such a gorgeous day here....perfect temps with big puffy white clouds! Sigh.....I love summer!


Today has been SUPER productive! I did 3 loads of laundry, swept and scrubbed the entire first floor, dusted, cleaned the counters and cabinets, loaded and ran the dishwasher, and cleaned the Tupperware cabinet which has been threatening an avalanche for some time now. Plus, I made lunch and let the kids eat it out on the deck (which they loved). I am contemplating making chocolate chip cookies now. Only problem is, if they're in the house, I'll eat them. Since I am rather enjoying my recent 4.5 lb weight loss, I don't want to mess myself up. What to do, what to do........

Thanks, Moo! I took my turn. The board DOES look good, but I agree with Wendy that not having the "Your turn" page is a bummer. It was better not to have to chase around and find when your turn was up. Darn Hasbro!

You get the cookies started and put them in the oven and I take care of the rest....while you take the kids to the park...then when they get back they can play seek and find the fresh batch of cookies ,,, minus a few that way you dont eat too many...lol

I would give you a recipe that we had the other night.....seafood with penne.....delicious...and so dang easy.


1lb box of penne or ziti
1lb shrimp
1lb scallops
1/2 lb chopped clams
Small pkg of cut fresh mushrooms
1 stick butter
3 garlic cloves
Garlic powder
Salt

Make pasta, drain. Sauté stick of butter with crushed garlic cloves. Add shrimp, scallops, clams, and mushrooms and cooked ziti. Cover until scallops are done. Stirring occasionally, add garlic powder and salt to taste.

oops forgot.......today we had an inspection from the Fire Dept.....I always stress when I know they are coming.....our house always passes but still I stress.......they were impressed that we are up to code for all three floors......we do not have any intention of ever renting again so we didnt need the fire doors on all the exits to the halls or outside......they open and shut when someone goes thru.....we live on the first floor and the two floors are EMPTY.....no one ever will be renting here with us as the owners....we probably will sell next year and buy a small ranch........one with three bedrooms on all one floor and a laundry room......a cellar for HIM to have his stuff in . MOI would be a happy clam.......

Remeber me saying DH was referred to an Oncologist for monitoring.

He went to see Dr. T. about a week and a half ago, was told in his bone scan report about something that was inconclusive on one of his ribs. The other Dr. missed this or dismissed this. He went and had an x-ray and today went to discuss the x-ray.

Dr. T thinks it cancer. He called it a 1cm lesion. He can't biopsy it without having to remove the whole rib.

He's having DH go to see a radiologist and a surgeon for their opinions.

He gave DH some pamplets about a pill. He would have to take it if he needs radiation. It's more or less CHEMO in a pill.

When DH came home it was already too late to call these other Dr.'s to make apt's so now I have to wait until Monday.




I'm somewhat speechless at the moment.

I don't like surprises. Especially after being told there was nothing else.

We are about to get a freakin major storm. The clouds are actually this cool shade of deep blue.
