Ahoy, me Maties! Be ye warned that September the 19th is TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY!!! pirate:

Arrrrrghhhh!!!!

jack_sparrow_2.jpg

GOOD MORNING!

Thanks for all the nice birthday/birthing day posts! The chi and the bracelet have shipped so I'm good and she understands. I got Mimi and her roommate to take Emily out to dinner last night so I could cut the grass and clean house.

Emily is taking a mental health day from school today to clean up some more and get ready in general for the party.

MONICA! CONGRATULATIONS! GREAT NEWS! GOD IS GOOD!

MOO....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARI! AND HAPPY BIRTHING DAY TO YOU! Money is the best gift when they get older. How bout some earrings to go with it?

Sandy....Google "Twilight bracelet" and you'll get a million hits.

DTD.....You're going in January too? Fingers crossed for free dining!

Twinkie....We were separated at birth...15 years apart. Your description of the beach vacation is dead on! I like the ocean but I hate the maintenance. I used to be OK with it. I think I get lazier as I get older. Vacation to me means having something fun to do all day and staying somewhere where you don't have to cook, clean or make your bed.

Lynette
.....She wanted a Chi straightener for her birthday. It's on the way to KY now.

Celery.....Lavendar martini at Palomino's was the best drink I had in Cincinnati. Palominos is on the second floor over Tiffany's overlooking Fountain Square.

Wh????????? ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

:lmao: I'll second that. And P.S.....I try to stay away from any meat that ends in "wurst". :scared:

EVERYBODY HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Wonderful news about Tim.....I think that you know how we all feel .......happiness to you and your family.....

This morning after I got out out from under a big comforter.......I froze.....Looked at the temp outside and it was 38. Now i know it had to be in the low 30's when hubby left for work....I guess maybe the ac unit needs to come out of the window......he wanted to do that when we arrived back from Disney but I said......NOOOOOOOO......I want to be cold for a few days...well guess what peeps......this is to darn much....

Oh Marita .....My mil never ever ever had any liquor pass thru her lips.......so when we brought her to Disney over 4 years ago. We took her to Biergarten and bought one of those BIG big beers......she took it in her hands so we could take a photo to give to her other two sons who wished they could be with us and egg her on.....it is a classic photo and we love to see it.

Thank you everyone, I am just so happy.

Tim looked out on this crisp morning and said, looks like a good night for a bon fire and some beer.

His way I guess. He hasn't really said much else.

I remember last year reading here for the first time about talk like a pirate day. Cool, looks like me and the day care will be pirates while making pizza and learning about shapes and counting.

We can count coins from a treasure box, those are round too. I have tons of pirate clothes. Maybe I'll post some pics later.

I'm just in a great mood!

BNCG Do you have a gas stove and water heater? Did you really not have water? Or just not hot water?
They have cell phones but there are lots of communication problems in the area I guess.

Our furnace is the only thing that is run on propane. Everything else is electric.

And yes, they really shut off people's water. Some of the water companies did have back up generators, but I guess they ran out of steam, and they needed electric to pump the water. And it is taking forever to get power to everyone. Luckily, our water crisis was short lived.

And the cell phone service has been spotty at best. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday I could not make cell phone calls from my house. Plus our land line was down. But everything is slowly getting back to normal.

Happy Birthing Day to you yesterday!:wizard:

I'm not made of money ya' know. :rolleyes1

Thanks for listenin' to me guys. :grouphug:

How frustrating! Hopefully the doctor going to bat for you will help some.:thumbsup2

I had a block and also had some sort of drug that was quite NICE.....hahahaha. In other words I vaguely remember a thing........I did say something about the meatballs needing garlic bread.....weird but that I do remember....

lol. Sounds like me after I have any type of sedative or pain medication. Glad you are doing well.

Don't just talk to a Dr. or a nurse at your doctor's office - they know nothing about billing! (no offense Babycow and lil G)

I am quite offended. harumph!:upsidedow

Have you been screaming the "whodey" chant since learning of it's meaning?

You forgot the part about life guarding, activity co-ordinating, sun screen applying, refereeing, alternate activity co-ordinating, bug destroying, sand blasting, sun screen applying, grocery shopping, sun screen applying. I went to the beach this summer. I find Disney to be more relaxing. Heh. Fortunately, Mr. Twink likes a "doing" vacation too. He loves to sit around and sleep in but figures we can do that at home. If we are spending money then we are Getting Our Money's Worth.

that certainly sounds like the dh.

I also saw some pics of twinkie twins doing handstands at some point yesterday, but did not have time to respond to their cuteness and freakin' geniusisnessssss.

Either way, I have to devote some serious time to housecleaning this weekend. The laundry monster needs taming, and I have to start swapping out the summer clothes for the winter-y ones. Ugh.

I am still taming the laundry monster after being without power for days on end. What a fun weekend, eh?

Hey Moovers!

Hey DTD. Did you mean how many games have the Colts won this season? or like since their existance?

Cuz the got beat by the stinking Bears (must have been Urlachers pre game ritual of eating a chocolate chip cookie), but they pulled a rabbit out of the hat and took down the mighty Vikings so far this year.

and I'm going to the game on Sunday. cuz I'm a good girlfriend and bought tickets for me and him.

We had free tix to the Bengals game last week, but I had to work. And I'm glad I did seeing as how Hurricane Ike made his appearance while we would have been at the game.

and I still cant believe my dh is all into Disney!! We hope to take DS and his (now fiance but soon wife!) to the 2010 MARATHON~~ I also hope to rent DVC points so we can stay Boardwalk or Beach Club!!

That sounds like a fun trip. We hope to make a Christmas trip, but if it doesnt work out, we are hoping for May. However, with school being out all week, we have to make up these days and my kids will probably be going until June.

Tim's biopsy came back benign tumor
:yay: :dance3: :woohoo: :cheer2:  :wizard: :cool1:

That is great news!!

Anyway, what I got was more than I think the charter flight is, and total travel time of 15-20 hours! Anyway, but that time it was so late I gave up.

Long flights are a pain in the keister. When I was 6 mos pregnant with Red, dh and I took a trip to London. Before we got on our flight, the guy at the ticket counter, called dh over and asked if we would mind being bumped up to first class as they had overbooked coach. I think they picked us b/c I was obviously with child. That was one sweet flight. The flight home was a major letdown after we had just enjoyed leather reclining seats, our own personal t.v. sets, warm towels, comfy blankets and silk pillows, and a dinner choice of duck or beef tips. lol

Louisville still has 121000 people without power...and a lady died due to carbon monoxide posioning cause she had a gas generator going in her house....so sad.

My gma and brother still do not have power. Still lots of power line downs everywhere and traffic lights are not wking in lots of places. Some people forget that those are supposed to be treated as four way stops and there have been numerous car accidents d/t this.

MOO: Happy giving birthday:cloud9: ! It's my giving birth day too!!!!

10 years ago today, I welcomed a 10 lb 9 oz, 23 1/2 inch (he likes to tell everybody he was 2 ft tall at birth. ha) bouncing baby boy into the world after 12 hours of labor and an epidural that was placed 15 minutes before he was born. It didn't even have time to kick in, daggone it!!!!

Oh well, he arrived safely, and even though I did have some complications after he was born, it all ended well. He had the darkest, blackest, thickest hair I have ever seen on a baby and he was such a sweet baby too. He nursed well, slept well, and was so loving.

Last night we had a bday party at Chuck E. Cheese. They got their power and water turned on just in the nick of time. He was so worried he wasn't going to get to have his party, but that all worked out too.

We are heading to the Trinity (local high school) football game tonight. It will be played in the University of Louisville's football field, cuz so many people will be in attendance. Gigantor is more excited about the football game than he was about his bday party. That kid is ate up with football!

Happy Birthing Day Moo and Babynurse!!

Mony-- so happy to hear that Tim is all right. You two deserve some relaxation and good times. What a year you have had.

Pumba-- really cold here in the mornings too. Nicholas won't give up his shorts and t-shirts yet, but Hannah goes with a coat or sweater in the morning.

Marita-- to funny about the beer. I think I have only had one beer in my life and that was after drinking other stuff which of course made me sick. Don't like the taste. It goes up there with coffee for me. My friends used to try and get me to drink both...couldn't do it.

We had school open house last night. The kids were so excited to show us around. I like both there teachers this year so far. They had Nicholas schedule up on the wall, I told him it is good to know that French is right after lunch. He hates that subject and if he calls him sick at lunch chances are that unless he throwing up or flat out on the floor he is staying there....

Happy Birthday Day's to everyone who gave birth this past week!

Speaking of birthing(hehe I hope WT is reading) I was checking out the website for the local birth center where I hope to give birth to our next little Poppins and they have a video on there of a water birth where the baby was born with the sack of waters completely intact! SOO COOL! PM me if you want the link to see it. That puts The Baby Story to shame. :happytv:

Twinkie - Do you kids push Grasshopper around the house in the laundry basket? and I forgot to tell you your rings came a couple days ago. They are a really pretty color. :thumbsup2

Isaac took 4 steady and determined steps yesterday. Did we capture it on video? :sad2:

Luther - There is NO WAY you are 15 years older than Twinkie!

Mony - Awesome news! I am so happy for you guys!

It's Walmart day. Ick.

GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!!
Thank you, Moo, for informing us of talk like a pirate day. Does that also mean it's look at lot of pictures of hotT pirates day? Yes? Oko, great! :thumbsup2 In honor of the occasion....

Mony...so glad to hear the great news!!! :cool1: :dance3: :woohoo: Thanks for keeping us updated!

Happy birthday/birthing day to everyone involved!

Cel...c'mon, even I knew what who dey means!!! Maybe that's because my sister runs around the house shouting it all day on Sundays. You'd think she'd start to root for a better team. Oh well, I guess you get an exception since you're not from here.

bbn...Football. There, I tried. Also, Eren just texted me that she's petting goats and wants to buy one. Still got any on the market?

I am now in Cincinnati. Got here a little after 1 last night. Little sister and I went to see Rascal Flatts/Taylor Swift in LooUhVull last night and then drove home.
Lynette...I really don't know if anyone but you would appreciate how appaling I found this. Taylor Swift wore the same dress she wore when we saw her in Cincinnati. And it wasn't even a cute dress. I mean, come on, couldn't she have gotten a new dress?! I still want to be Taylor Swift when I grow up...
Rascal Flatts were seriously so much better than they were in Cincinnati though! When they were in Cincy, they did like a medley of a bunch of their songs, where they just sang little snippets. Then, at the end there was no encore. Last night they did all the whole songs, AND an encore with 2 more songs. The concert was so much longer! Wassup with that? Think one of them was sick?

Tomorrow is my cousin's wedding, which is why I'm here so we have the rehearsal dinner tonight. Cept the whole family isn't invited. Just me. Because I'm special. Heh.

I had to go to the high school this morning. The new huge ginorous prison they built to hold all of these kids.

I couldn't believe what I walked into! Just beyond the corridor was 500+kids eating lunch in the openness.

The volume was deafening.

After I signed in, a teacher was called to escort me to the Nautical Shop so I could purchase 2 hooded sweatshirts.

A whole 20 paces.

The music in there was blaring some type of rap music which spilt out into the halls. No wonder it was so loud. I thought I was in one of those teen clothing stores.

Then all of a sudden someone says, Miss Monica???? A friend of mines daughter standing there who I haven't seen since Malorie was an infant and now she's 17.!!!!!:faint:

I don't recall highschool like that. No wonder they talk about how the 9th graders have a hard time adjusting to high school.

I was overwhelmed.

We had so much fun being pirates toady. Thanks Moo for the reminder. After we made the pizza and it was cooking the kids said to the late arrival, you missed ALL the fun! We got to be pirates and drive a pirate ship and talk like pirates!!

I pointed out to the late arrival he came just in time for the best part: to make the pizza!

Now they are all sleeping and I have to study!

Have a great weekend everybody!

1. Of course!!! and we have stairs! ack!
2. Thanks for the ring update. I wish you could post a picture. When is your camera coming back? Also let me know the minute you get the fabric. No email confirmation from the silk baron that it has shipped yet.
3. STEPS! :faint: Your Isaac reminds me soooo much of my Goldenchild. Consider yourself warned. ;) Little Grasshopper has taken one or two steps by accident in the last week. Today he walked around holding one of my fingers but it made him laugh sooo hard that he couldn't let go. He was literally cracking up and throwing his head back.
4. Should I be offended or should Lexy? :rotfl: I know Melinda looks younger than I do. Maybe I should do something about my "silver" highlights.
5. Last night I got wild and crazy and went to walmart BY MYSELF at 10 pm. For some reason the grocery shopping got done in record time AND under budget. :thumbsup2

HOW OLD ARE YOU, TWINK?

ha ha ha....... I am much older than PJ and much younger than Wheat Thins. I am 33 right now. .... but we certainly are kindred spirits if not twins separated by space and time.

Moo- thanks for the reminder about pirate: day. I almost missed it. I did the riddle on Sept 19 last year. I miss the riddle.

Happy Giving Birth Day to Moo and Babynurse!

I kept forgetting to wish Moo and BBN a happy birthday day.

AND remember the free dining thing I mentioned for december?

Gone. Cause the CM on the phone lied to me and said I was saving $50.00 from my original price. After it was all said and done and when I went online to view my vacation it was $900.00 more!!!!

Now my reservation is in the hands of a guest service person who needs until Monday to figure it out. I want it put back to where it was before the fake free dining!

She said it can be put back, but she wants to play with it and see what she can do.

I hope that's a goog thing.

I found that there are no rooms left at the values for most of december.

Twink & MommyP ......12 years and 15 years are pretty darn close. :teacher:
And I could be PJ's mom. Depressing.

MONICA! I hope you get that little $900 glitch ironed out! :scared1:

I am at breadman's and online!!! he sprang for a landline, so now I'm on the horrid dialup. woo!

yes, pj and babycow! I've been chanting "who dey!" all day!

melinder - I will have to check out the lavender martini next time I go. It will probably be the middle of october.

I might be back later! night all!

YAY for BREADMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOHOO! I just saw that Dancing with the Stars starts Monday (with Cloris Leachman in her 80's and Susan Lucci in her 60's)!

Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day, Moovers! Hope you ARRRRRRRRE all well! (get it? heh)

Happy birthday day to BBN and Moo!!! BBN, yikes on Gigantor's size at birth! What'd you eat while you were pregnant.....Miracle Grow? Sheesh! One of my godsons was 12 lbs, 10 oz and 23.5 inches long. On his way out, he cracked his mom's pelvic bone in two places! Youch!

Peej, though I adore Taylor Swift (as you know), on your behalf, I harumph her recycling that not-so-cute dress.

How nice of Rascal Flatts to step it up a notch for you. Very thoughtful. Did they ask for me? :rotfl:

Have fun at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding! Why are you invited to the rehearsal when your family isn't? Are you doing a reading or something?

Hello All,
Just wanted to show off my new ticker and announce I've scored an ADR for the last evening of characters at LTT, and at 5:15! I thought that would be tough to come by. Of course, I've also booked Donald's Breakfast Safari later in the week. I've worked 2 weeks of vacation this year, it's time I got to play. I'm also taking a volleyball weekend Oct 10-11 and heading to Arkansas for road matches. But we're definitely doing it on the cheap.

Your ticker needs a caption, DTD!

I KNOW! Look at me. AWAKE!

The slumber party gang is still going strong but I'm almost out of steam. :guilty:
