It got cooler here today too. 88!
We have a team day next Tuesday, minigolf is tentatively on he agenda.
Let it be known that I suck at that! I freely admit it, and let it roll off me. I dont have a competative streak in my body for that stuff.

Happy birthday/Birthing day for all affected this week!:wizard:

lexi, you miight be up later than usual tonight, I am thinking of going to bed early. So maybe the global balance is intact!

Thanks everyone for the Happy Birthing Day/Birthday greetings! My one and only DD was "only" 8 lbs., 5 oz. Much smaller than Gigantor!!! ;) I was also in labor 12-ish hours. Mari is 26 today

MOO....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARI! AND HAPPY BIRTHING DAY TO YOU! Money is the best gift when they get older. How bout some earrings to go with it?
Lex - I just went with money and a musical card because I'm usually not too successful in picking out earrings that she likes. I also picked up Chinese for dinner and an ice cream cake from Coldstone Creamery. We were all too full for dessert, so we're saving that for later this weekend.

Last night we had a bday party at Chuck E. Cheese. They got their power and water turned on just in the nick of time. He was so worried he wasn't going to get to have his party, but that all worked out too.
Glad your son got to have his party yesterday and football today, bbn!!! Hope your gram gets her power back soon.

Isaac took 4 steady and determined steps yesterday. Did we capture it on video? :sad2:
He'll be running before you know it! :lmao:

Moo- thanks for the reminder about pirate: day. I almost missed it. I did the riddle on Sept 19 last year. I miss the riddle.
Twink - Do they not do the riddle any more? Or are you just to busy to play? I haven't checked over there for ages, but then I never played much due to not being able to get on the computer very often in the morning.

Hope you had a fun talk like a pirate: day!

AND remember the free dining thing I mentioned for december?

Gone. Cause the CM on the phone lied to me and said I was saving $50.00 from my original price. After it was all said and done and when I went online to view my vacation it was $900.00 more!!!!

Now my reservation is in the hands of a guest service person who needs until Monday to figure it out. I want it put back to where it was before the fake free dining!

She said it can be put back, but she wants to play with it and see what she can do.

I hope that's a goog thing.

I found that there are no rooms left at the values for most of december.
ACK! Did you do a cost-benefit analysis adding in what it will cost for your meals? I know that you have to pay rack rate in order to be eligible for free dining.

I knew there were no value rooms left. I am sitting on 6 days worth in the values that I will probably end up canceling because I couldn't get anything other than the Dolphin for the first weekend  It makes more sense to me to stay the whole week at the Dolphin even though it's more expensive so I don't have to deal with two room changes. Grrrrr. I don't mind moving once, but twice seems excessive. I'm going to try again for cancellations when the payment for packages comes due around 45 days before departure.

P.S. Thanks for the Pirate Day Flair! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day, Moovers! Hope you ARRRRRRRRE all well! (get it? heh)

Happy birthday day to BBN and Moo!!! BBN, yikes on Gigantor's size at birth! What'd you eat while you were pregnant.....Miracle Grow? Sheesh! One of my godsons was 12 lbs, 10 oz and 23.5 inches long. On his way out, he cracked his mom's pelvic bone in two places! Youch!
It's been a goog day for me! I'm glad to have my family back home. Of course my daughter is out celebrating her birthday with friends tonight, but it's nice not to have her dog moping around the house

She is heading back to DC to see some friends next Thursday though, so I have to enjoy the next few days when she's around. Such a gadabout. Kinda like the Peej! ;) Hope you have a nice weekend, PJ :dance3:

Where the helk has Wendy been lately????!! Hope all is well.

This scurvy pirate's wench is going to try to see some ships traversing the inland sea tomorrow :sail: (translation: sit on a Lake Michigan beach for a couple hours).

Hope everyone has smooth sailing this weekend!

Goog Morning!

Twinkie - You do not look old. Silver "hightlights" LOL! That's a good one. I've never noticed.

Luther - I've seen you in person, you are a hotT. I hope I look as goog as that when I'm your age.

I don't get asked for my ID anymore. Except when I'm at Walmart with all 5 kids buying grocerys and something like, super glue.

GOOD MORNING!

UP AND AT'EM! Headed to church to pick DS. He went to the second grade lock-in at church last night. (Emily was thrilled!)

The slumber partiers here at Chez Lex devoured 4 large pizzas, 2 12-packs of soda, 3 pounds of ruffles, 1 pound of onion dip, a half gallon of milk and half a cake. So far. I am only baking cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

MommyP.....   That is the nicest thing you could've possibly said to me. Thank you!

Moo...Cash is always the right size and color! :thumbsup2 And we talked like pirates yesterday too! DS wore his POC t-shirt to the lock-in.

EVERYBODY HAVE A WONDERFUL SATURDAY!

Hi all...we got rain early today(20% CHANCE) last Sunday with Ike we had a 60%chance and didnt get a drop just destructive wind...go figure. But we need the rain.

Im at my sister house in Middletown ...5 mins down the road from the Ryder Cup and Im watching it on TV....lol

I thought you meant her grandpup cash! :lmao: it took me a minute.
and good lord on the food! how many slumber partyers were there?

hi to everyone else.

my dog is driving me crazy! he ate something last night and I can't figure out what it is. I heard him around 1 am two different times crunching on something - by the time I woke up and turned lights on, he was standing in the mddle of the living room wagging his tail all innocent.

now his stomach is making CRAZY noises!

plus it has me worried because I didn't know about the pedigree recall until yesterday - but we checked the label and his lot wasn't recalled.
plus he didn't eat any dog food yesterday (which is probably why he was eating random stuff in the night).
don't worry, mamacel! he's fine!

Hi Cellery, could you post the numbers they recalled for Pedigree???...I think thats what my wife buys for my dog...Im out of town at my sisters house.

bh - I'm on dialup that moves at the speed of moss.
it would take me until tomorrow to get the numbers!
Try the pedigree site. My mom looked it up yesterday. Maybe she will post the website.

I thought the same thing

I was thinking, wow, they recall dogs? Riley must be a pedigreed one. :rotfl:

Lexi, did the girls have any time for hairbrading, nail painting and pillow fights with all the eating?

BH, yay for the rain for you!

Moo, have fun on the inland seas.

I absolutety HAVE to get my nails done today, which I hate with a passion!
No word from DS since Tuesday, it's diving me batty!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Hi all! Quick fly by. I know Sandy reported that I was overwhelmed on Thursday. On a good note, I did call my insurance, and the man I talked with said that I owed NOTHING!!!! :cool1:

BUT, when I got in with the Dr. he said that last weeks procedure didn't work. So, I had to have it done again, but with stronger stuff. It burned alot more in my veins. It also bled more than last week. I told the nurse to get it cleaned up as well as possible because I had to go visit a friend in the hospital.

Now, why did I have to go to the hospital, you might ask? Well, remember my coworker who had a baby right before preschool started? Well, if not, here's a quick synopsis of her life since becoming a first time mom. She had the baby by emergency C-Section, due to cord being wrapped around his neck. A week later she had to go to Birmingham, and have a pacemaker put in. (she and her mom, and grandfather all have a heart defect, and giving birth aggravates it) Well, her newborn son ended up in ICU on Thursday. He was turning grayish/bluish and was dehydrated. We all went to the hospital straight from work. I left there and went home then turned around and came back and had my procedure done, and then went back to the hospital. It had been A LONG day by the time I talked to Sandy. Anyway, the baby is stabilized now, but still in ICU. He will probably stay there until Thursday when he will go see his mom's pediatric heart Dr. down in Birmingham.

I know I have asked for a lot of prayers lately, but if you can say one more for baby Jackson, I would so appreciate it. :grouphug:

Hey, but my son is doing well at his new job. He is really enjoying it, and I'm sure he will like it even better on payday! :thumbsup2 Of course, we have no idea when that is. :confused3

Allie, prayers for your friend and baby Jackson!

W00t for owing nothing for your proceedures and some alone time with DH!

Small update about DS. He talked to DD last night for about 1 1/2 minutes. He is all stressed out. He gets into a plane on Monday and is expected to know EVERYTHING! So he has been studying all the time.

The military seems to have some strange ways. Putting on the stress full force (I guess to get the reaction to functioning under pressure), or letting you hang out for most of the day with nothing to do (after Basic, before this 6 weeks) and the probably again until his Navigator classes start in March. (provided he passes the flying course). PD appreciated.

Happy Saturday!! :cool1: I just got my hair and nails done for the wedding. It starts at 5:30. So now I have to sit here in my dress for 2 1/2 hours and be careful not to mess anything up. HELLLPP!!!!!!!! It's actually my cousin's second wedding, so it's not too formal. She got married when she was 22 and that didn't end too well. Now she's 33 and she's actually marrying the guy she went out with for 4 years in high school. I thought that was cute.

Cel...WHO DEY!!!!!! If we go around shouting that, do you think we'll start to be football fans?

L...I acutally thought of you at the Rascal Flatts concert because they said they had been "up north" the past few weeks and they were so happy to be back down south where the people actually know how to have a good time. Their words, not mine!! Now I guess you'll be harumphing them, too.

DTD...woohoo on the Disney trip!!! :dance3: Make sure to get a picture with the real Donald! ;)

Moo...do I want to be a gadabout?

Allie...prayers for baby Jackson and your friend.

I just got an email from DS. Dang, I so wish I could help him!
Hey mom...Im studying like crazy cause on monday i am going on my first airplane ride...which i am supposed to know how to do almost everything. So even though this is supposed to be a flight training/screening school for 0 time pilots, i have to pilot my airplane all by myself (there will be an instructor pilot with me, but his job is to yell at me and sit there. So right now i am freaking out. So far the classes have gone over 4 months of information in 2 days and i am expected to know it all starting monday. It is almost impossible, but it is a screening course to weed out people that cant handle the pressure and give up. I am doing my best to learn EVERYTHING about the plane and how to taxi, fly, maneuver, talk to the tower, talk to the ground, not puke in the plane and land all by myself on my first ride. Plus i have to do a 1 hour brief to the instructor pilot on everything from what we are going to do, when we are going to do it, the weather, etc. Bottom line is i will do my best but now i know why there is a 41% drop out/fail out rate. Well i got to go but i will contact you when my work load eases up. Love you all.

Can you say "Marita is freaking out?" :scared1:

There I was fat, dumb and happy at graduation on August 6th! I had no idea (I dont think DS did either) about th further things to come to waylay the journey. So now he is signed up for the AF for 6 or 8 years. What if he doesnt pass the fligt training? This whole thing is NOT goog for my noives!

Thanks, Aliie, I told him he had lots of cyber aunts sending him pixie dust, LOL! Not sure how much faith he has in that, though! So he better keep studying. Man can't fly on pixie dust alone! Or wait, they did in Mary Poppins, didn't they?
