That's true about the choreographers. And the dance style can make a big difference too. I think that a lot of the younger fans of the show (teens, for instance) don't really get the degree of difficulty in a foxtrot or a Viennese waltz.

I agree totally...they really have to work extra hard ....learning 2 new dances last night and each week from now on

Now I am watching news footage of the Boston Pops rehearsing for tomorrow night. Peej, didja know that Rascal Flatts will be singing tomorrow with the Pops? I used to go into Boston every year with friends to sit at the Hatch Shell, listen to the Pops and watch the huge fireworks display. I think DH and I will take the kids when they're a bit older, but they'd never make it to the end of the night at this age.

Our town had "Family Fun" fireworks tonight (which we skipped), and the Town Spectacular is Saturday night. It's the biggest fireworks display outside of Boston, so lots of family and friends spend the day with us and then we all walk to the Town Common to watch the show.

Power update: It came back on at about 8:45 this morning, so I ended up going into work late after I got a shower

Since my house is still semi-clean, I picked up some Mexican food and had some work friends over for dinner tonight. We had a nice time. One of my friends brought her dog over so the puppies even had some company!

We made it! The trip was great, the kids were mostly well behaved. The little dvd player was a nice addition though we still played all sorts of car games.

I didn't take time to stalk anyone but I did spend the night in LooUHvulle. Now all BBN's posts make sense.

Happy 4th of July!

I'm off to feed the baby and then go mow the lawn. I can't wait for summer to be over. The grass needs to be mowed like 1 times a week, which doesn't happen. Then it gets so long that you have to mow it twice.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Y'all all beat me because there's no internet service in this house! No wonder the DSL is so cheap...it doesn't work! I spent my morning getting the old laptop on the wireless network. (thank, Joe!)

I'm currently upstairs on the Mac using the neighbors' pilfered connection since Mimi spent the night out last night. It is a nice computer but I just can't get used to using a touchpad.

We were supposed to go to the pool but it's raining here. Guess I'll clean house since I had some old friends call last night to say they'd be by tomorrow to pay a visit.

Twink....Glad you are there safe and sound. Did you think we were kidding about the whole loo-uh-vull thing? Sheesh! Mimi laughed at the poor girl at orientation who was still calling it Louisville. If you go to New Orleans, the natives only call it nor-lins. Same thing.

Moo.....Yay for power and a semi-clean house.

PJ....Praying for your family and that sweet mother who is now a single parent with all those little ones.

Allie....Have fun on the river. I think. I like chlorinated water better. Where I can see the bottom. But I'm a wimp.

Lynette....Sounds like you live in a nice community with all the family activities. My friends' daughter is spending 2 weeks in Sandwich with the grandparents. They wanted us to go up and rent a house with them in august but it's just too close to move-in at the dorm. Maybe next year. Would you drive down and see us or is it too far?
