EEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!

I just realized that July 1 is THIS TUESDAY! Which is the 20th anniversary (officially) of the opening of the GF, which I was the opening Finance person for. So opening management staff is invited.

Lunch reception and a panel discussion (or something, from what I could tell from the invitation) with top dogs from the day (well, top dogs now, not so much then). Like the guy that runs DL Paris now. I love him . When he left the Grand, there were lines of people to say goodbye and bring him gifts. But I digress..... Anyway, a bunch of people coming in special for the occasion. Unfortunately, the opening GM and F&B Mgr. were fired for un-Dis behavior

So I wasted today making stew, and totally neglected my appointment with Miss Clairol. Plus, this comes in the middle of not only Forecast, but BUDGETS, which are due a week from Tuesday. And I lost an earring yet again!

With travel time, that will be 3 hours out of my work day that I really can't afford to lose, but I will. I am NOT going to miss this!

Stayed up late again and now I've got to get the boy to the camp of the week. This is his last camp of the summer. What will I do next month???

DH added Emily to his cell phone plan yesterday and bought her a blackberry. I KNOW! We always made Mimi buy her own phone/plan. But Em is a bit of a squeaky wheel so now she's got some grease.

Wendee....Did I say I enjoyed the West Fest pictures and report? Well, I did. Look how cute you look with your corn dog. You MUST go over and taunt nebo with that picture. Nobody loves a hand-dipped corn dog as much as nebo. (and me) I hope those tattoos washed off with no problem.

Marita....Sounds like exciting stuff over at the GF. Can I go?

Morning all,

This doesn't seem right that I have to get up the same time as school when there is no school.

Off to swimming lessons every morning for the next two weeks, baseball camp is after that.

Marita-- that is pretty exciting to go to an anniversary party for GF.

July 1st is Canada Birthday so we have a holiday tomorrow. Everything will be shut down. Lots of people took a long long weekend because it fell on a Tuesday. We go to the museum in town, where they have great old fashion type games for the kids and give out ribbons. It is actually a century home so you can go though it and picnic out on the lawn and they have music,etc.

P.J.-- I heard that they are closing Pleasure Island, wonder what they will put there instead.

So today as I was leaving the gym there was a sign that said come to Chipotle today for a free soft drink and food if you show your gym membership. I don't know exactly what "food" means but I intend to go find out.
