Boy I WISH I could Marita. Yesterday was HOT up here, so I imagine the further south (which is where he is) you went it just got hotter. Unfortunately the weathermen say next week is gonna be hotter. Although they haven't gotten much right lately. They said we would have heavy showers last night, and we didn't get one single drop.

Remind DS to keep drinking water. Dehydration causes headaches. Maybe he can have some after he gets back to his quarters at night. Might be a goog thing to send in a care package.

Yes, Montgomery has a minor league team. They are called the Biscuits. What a name. They are supposed to play the MS Braves, which is the minor league team for the Atlanta Braves. (that's clarification for you non sports folks, and you know who you are ) Sometimes the Biscuits come up here and play too.


Oh, and I don't want to seem like a comeback snob , so, HI WENDY AND TWINKS! and anyone else I might have overlooked. I don't ever intentionally leave anyone out, so please accept my apologies.

Oh great, he gets to celebrate his passing to the next level with the Biscuts, LOL! Well, better than no celebration at all, I say I'll remind him about the water, but I think they force them to drink 3 glasses each meal already. But he did ask for a care package with more iced tea mix. Which perplexes me, don't they have those in the PX? He asked DH, so I didn;t get a chance to ask.

Donnisha Peesha - YAY for the night out!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sis ended up canceling because her dad is still in the hospital and she wasn't feeling great herself today

She is my half sister, but we're really close. Her dad has a couple other kids, but she's the one who ends up dealing with her dad's medical issues. I'm not going up to the hospital this time because he has a c-diff infection and I can't risk getting exposed to anything like that because my immune system is probably still not the best due to taking steroids to get over that bronchitis last month.

So, we're probably going to have dinner on Tuesday evening. So after my haircut I just had ome lunch, did a bit of shopping, and came home. I watched the Other Boleyn Girl and preferred the book by far. They left out some really important aspects of the plot! A lot was in the deleted scenes. The editing left a LOT to be desired!

MONY! Hope tomorrow is a better day And with no Hope you can get some decent sleep tonight.

Our weather has straightened out this evening. Hope it has over your way too.

I am working for a homeopathic medication company doing cold calls, not selling but doing a market research survey. Again not the best job but the people around me are fun and friendly and perhaps I can move up to customer services taking phone orders.

This reminds me of my first interview with Disney. For Accounts receivable as a bad debt collector. I did NOT apply for that job they just sent me there. Anyone who ever met me can attest to the fact that I would be the worst possible choice for that job. Or any kind of sales or cold calls position.
Luckily, they recognized this and sent me to interview in another department, and I got hired, and here I am, 35 years 11 months and 1 week later

Had a marvelous day - DS had us over to celebrate DH's bday!!

Moo how's the weather looking in Kalamazoo next week!! DD is heading up to camp - we're driving her, and we'll probably stop at Warren Dunes on the way home!!


ok... well... we did it!! We are proud parents of 2 almost new DOGS!! Yep, we're sitting here watching the Parent Trap on ABC Family - one dog - we renamed him Seamus is sitting next to dd - - the other doggie, Mattie, is curled up next to dh!!

wonderr what took us so long!! They are amazing!! oops. they just decided time to go out - dh and dd will take the duty...

Marita what happened to George? (hope that was the turtle's name! While driving to the bbq we were talking turtles, ds gf said her aunt in Russia has this huge turtle in her house - I of course have a friend... )

DS just called. He said they had to do 11 hours of obstacle courses yesterday. People falling down into water, passing out, getting headaches. Hot as Hades. But apparently he made it OK. (no water or passing out, but definite headache).

They also had to do hand to hand combat with sticks with rubber at the ends. DS won the first one, but then got defeated. His buddy won 3 matches but then passed out.

I asked about the official transition to upper class status, but he didn't know. However, the are scheduled to go to an off-base minor league baseball game tonight, and ordered to wear their dress blues. So they may do something there.

He had to switch rooms to the upperclass quarters (just down the hall, same setup really). No off-base activities planned for tomorrow, he said too much to do, but might go out to dinner next weekend. Oh, and some pics coming and maybe some video, but don't know when.

Thanks for the update - Since I was discussing you two it was nice to update DS!!

Boris and DH are off at the Cub Scouts' "School's Out Campout" tonight, so Natasha and I are settled in on the couch, preparing to watch Camp Rock (starring the much-discussed Jonas Brothers). We are in our pajamas, and have a cache of snacks at the ready.

well I was going to go up for a few days, then decided I should stay with the puppies - dh has a huge project due next week - so we'll go up and come down, DD needs to be picked up on Sat next - so we may stay a night next weekend!!

Natasha made it to 9:30, but then decided that she'd had enough of Camp Rock. She said, "It's okay, Mum...that's why we pay for On-Demand, right?" Who is this "we" she's talking about, anyway? I don't see anyone contributing $$ toward the cable bill.......

Since her brother is on his campout with Daddy, Natasha decided that she would sleep with me in my bed tonight. Which is sweet, except that my darling cherub grinds her teeth so vigorously in her sleep that it makes my eyeballs sweat!

We spend Friday and Saturday down in Virginia Beach. We had not been to the beach in like five years. We had a GREAT time! I forgot how much fun it is to frollick in the waves! The girls were giggling the whole time. I DH and I are sunburned, but I kept SPF 70 on the girls and only their cheeks are a slightly pink.

We recently DID buy popsicles from our ice cream man. They looked like they were once melty and then re-frozen For the price, I bought a whole box of red,white, and blue popsicles at the Walmart.
