I don't know Steph. I'm still at work and haven't seen any news or weather forecasts today.

Rob Congrats to your son for the good grades and to you for bringing up a smart son. :thumbsup2

Mony So sorry to hear that Tim's condition is more complicated than just a kidney stone. He's in my prayers.

All Thanks for the entertaining and informative lessons about "non-poisonous" poisons and "Southern Speak." Even without slang and dialects, English is an odd and illogical language. For instance, I've never figured out why there's no such contraction as amn't. Seems there should be. And I amn't about to be convinced otherwise.

Mony-- That's for keeping us updated. Prayers for Tim, you and your lovely family.

put it 5 gal buckects or smaller and let it go with the sandbox...lol or save it for some cement/concrete project for setting poles or whatever

Bloodhound -- I thought of letting it go with the sand box. I am betting that who buys it will be walking from streets over and not want to walk around with sand buckets....

You should see the things people carry around, the roads get lined up with cars. It is scary, lots of close calls for cars running into each other. Lot have wagons too. I had someone buy my umbrella stroller to put things so they didn't have to carry it.

I did put a bucket on my front interlocking bricks to fill in some of the cracks more.

Rob-- :yay: What a proud moment for you and your son. Great job!

Steph-- Safe travels. I will send you some pixie dust and prayers tonight.

Kay, my guess is that it is because it really does not roll off the tongue..

Mony, more  and prayers for your family!

Funny southern terms today, and I actually knew most of them!

I have poison control story too, except I forgot what DS 1 1/2 at time drank. (surprise that I forgot?) Something bad!

K&K, Welcome! Tell us a bit about yourself please? Any friend of PJ's is a friend of ours. Although we are a welcoming bunch in general.
No word from DS in 5 days now :scared1: And I left him a message yesterday to call. Nothing!

Allie, do you know what the closest airport to Montgomery is? DH was talking about driving, and I am NOT hip with that!

Steph, may the weather Gods be with you!

BBN, great morning shout out, you did Lexi proud!

Sandy, I think that the picture copies is not a bad idea! At least she will be in the yearbook. But maybe you should bill the school for the cost. Yeah, I know, fat chance....

I am kind of tired tonight, so forgive me if I missed anything of importance or need for comment.

PS Uma I went to the health food store, I'll let you know how the cream works!! (and why dont they sell any testasorone creame otc? I hear that's a HUGE viagra type bang!! (dont answer I can only imagine what would happen if one would over due!! :lmao:
DON'T go near the testosterone, Sandy!!! A coworker of mine tried this on the advice of a medical professional and it was scary!!! :furious: She was pretty unbearable to be around. It was like she needed an anger management class. She wasn't on it for long.

I am tired tonight too. So I'll just ditto all of these comments Marita made Marita, hope you hear from your son soon

DD is a bad influence! We stayed up until 2:30 last night :scared1:

Nabbie, can't you just sprinkle the sand around in your yard? Maybe with a fertilizer spreader? :confused3 It should go down into the soil eventually.

Congrats to your son on his grades, Rob!!!

Ack, Wendy, on the poison control issue!!!

I'm procrastinating a little on the scrapbooking tonight. Went out and got the grajiation photos printed tonight. Deadline is Saturday, so I HAVE to get crackalackin'!

Hey Moovers,
I've been around, but never seem to get all the way caught up. Well, I am now.
Monica, so sorry to hear about Tim. He's in my prayers, as are you.
UMA- Before you move, watch at least one Andy Griffith marathon on TVLand. Everything you need to know in one evening of hilarity. Just make sure it's black and white episodes.(It went color the same time Don Knotts left)
WGN is running the best shows from the 70's. Tonight's Taxi. Last night was Barney Miller and they had the hashish episode, my favorite episode of any series ever. It's better than any of the carp they're making now.
I'm going in late tomorrow, 8 and working over to cover. One of my coworkers bought a house(in this economy) and is taking 4 days off to move.
I'm taking 2 whole days off next week. Thursday and Friday. Can't decide if I'm going to Lou ee vul or NashVegas. But I bet Glancy wins out. Think I'll call it a night and see if I can get a full night's sleep. See y'all(the only spellin').::yes::

Hi, DTD, good to see you again, I was getting worried you abandond this "herd" (who was it that called us that?)

YAY on a full night's sleep and 2 days off! Any relief in sight for a more regular schedule?

I'm sure he is fine Marita, just too busy to call.

The closest airport would be Birmingham. Then it would be a 1 1/2 hour drive down to Montgomery. You could fly into Huntsville, but that might be more expensive, since it isn't as big, then it would be a 3 hour drive, BUT it would be lots closer to me! ;) :rolleyes1

Mony
- Sorry to hear that Tim's kidney incident is so serious. I'm praying for both of you.

Sandy - I love that idea of copying her pic. and passing it out. That is just inexcusable. Sometimes kids are sick on picture day, but they at least have their name in the book. Since you have the pic. she should be IN the book.

K & K - Welcome!! I'm kind of new here too.

RobIn - Brag away! That is great! I'll say that my 9th grader didn't do as well as yours. He had some A's and some B's, so not bad.

BBN - Thanks for the Lexi(type) post. That was helpful for us lurkers. :thumbsup2

Moo and Mony - LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!! It looks like they might really win it tonight. That cup is just beeeeuuuutttifffullll! :cool2:

Sorry I haven't been around folks. I took my mom to NashVegas and stayed at the beautiful Opryland hotel for cheap. Wasn't as close to Motel 6 rates once they added on parking and resort fees. Anyway, we had a lovely birthday celebration with mom, but when I got back I got really bad news. One of the little boys in our preschool program had his daddy get killed in a car accident. :sad1: It happened last Friday, after I got home from Nashville. He was the unfortunate (and innocent) victim of a police chase. The local police were chasing these two women who had been spied doing a drug deal. Then the police chased them onto the local Arsenal, which is supposed to be VERY secure after 9/11, and then they ran into my little man's daddy, and killed him instantly. He has left behind a lovely wife, and two boys who are 3 and 6. I have actually had both boys, but had the younger one this year. I am having a hard time making sense of it, since it could have been avoided. Why did the police chase them? Why didn't they call it off once they got on the Arsenal or once they did why didn't they let the ARMY know and have them help deal with it? Just so many unanswered questions right now. :confused3 Sorry to be a Debby Downer. :worried:

Thanks for the prayers and wishes.

We are so grateful.

On another note::rolleyes1

WAY TO GO WINGS!

STANLEY CUP CHAMPS!

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!

Congrats on the WIN Mony!!!!! If you get a chance to see that cup, it is well worth it! The kids and I got to see it several years ago. I have a pic of my son reaching to touch it, of course they wouldn't let him, but he tried. :rotfl: My DH was sooooo jealous because he was already here working (and didn't get to see it), and we were still in Atlanta. We went to go see it cause I knew he would NEVER forgive us if we didn't. ;) I'm so glad we did.

Is Tim feeling any relief, or is he still in lots of pain? Hope you get answers soon.

Yay for the Red Wings, my grandmother moved to Detroit before I was born so weve been fans of whatever team they had ever since.. :woohoo:

Mony, hope the WINGS win helped brighten your day a bit!

Allie, sorry to hear about that accident

Goog to see you, DTD - hope you get some relaxin' in!!!

Tim is feeling less pain and can go extra hours between taking his vikes.
It was funny in the hospital cause they'd give him this great pain med through his IV and flush it, so within seconds he'd become "stoned". He'd say some silly stuff and doze off rather quickly. I had it after my 3rd c-section and it's some pretty powerful stuff. Daladin. I'm not sure if that's the right way to spell it, but that's what it sounds like.

His spirits are good. We were on line learning more about this and grading and staging him. So, I guess we are dealing.

We are not 100% sure if it is Cancer. We believe we'll know after the surgery. We were told there's no reason to bring in an Oncologist since the only treatment is surgical. We shouldn't expect any follow up treatments after the surgery. Our apt with them is tomorrow.

It was nice watching the game with him, since the last one was spent at the ER.

The win in 97, he was out of town.

Allie: As far as The Stanley Cup goes, my two BFF's were downtown at a bar called The Post which is right outside Joe Louis Arena. Sometimes players will show up there. I think it was Darren McCarty. He brought the cup there and they got to drink beer from it. They have pictures, it's cool. That was either in 97 or 98.

Mony - is tim home or still in the hospital? when is his surgery?

You could fly into Huntsville, but that might be more expensive, since it isn't as big, then it would be a 3 hour drive, BUT it would be lots closer to me! ;) :rolleyes1

And only an hour from me! :yay:

So sorry about your little guy's dad. :( Police chases should be stopped.

morning friends......last night I went out to dinner with my childhood bestest friend. We grew up together and try to get together a few times here and there. She lives next to the ocean and I am an inner state person. SO anyways we laughed and cried a few times. She did come to my mamas funeral and to see her there was the best thing ever. Her mama and my mama were best friends too.
SO we went to a seafood place and I had all you can eat fried shrimp, with hand cut french fries (which were out of site) and a salad and of course hot rolls. I had a beer and a cup of coffee after dinner. WE had a great time.

Hard to believe we are both now 60......that was what we were celebrating ..she was sixty in april and my sixtieth was last week......

Glad to see DTD and everyone else......Wendy when do you move or have you sold your home yet. Have you looked in the area where you want to move? I tried to re read the book here....hahahaaha...

Mony......please tell Tim we all love him and wish him get well fast.
I am sure that my husband would freak out if I told him make believe internet friends were telling me they love him and wish him get well fast.......hahaha
