I'm in an ooey gooey mood this morning! Much tuxlove to my pals!
Extra special tux love to Mony for her DS getting good social interaction. :yay:
Extra extra special tuxlove to the fact that babycow's kids WANT her to chaperone - I always hated it when my family would help "chaperone" my science olympiad trips. I never got to let my hair down! (Nerds let their hair down - we play hooker tag! HA! Twinks - did y'all play that at math camp? It's not what it sounds like, I swear!).

MNSSHP We opted out last year - should we or shouldnt we this year??

You should so do it! Schedule your DD's BBB the same day!
I really think MNSSHP is my favorite disney thing ever.

I hope people accept my Giselle dress. peej said a lot of adults don't dress up for the pirates and princess party. :sad1:

IF I HEAR THAT WORD ONCE more ....I AM BORED>....
But Miss Marie! I'm booooored! hehehe.

The camera was hanging around my neck at the time and the whole thing is of just the funky view bouncing back and forth, to and fro  (don't make me explain further)

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :rotfl:

What's wrong with saying "spelunking", E? :confused3

Nothing is wrong with it and, no, you should not say caving. It was an old joke.

Pumba: Sounds like a hectic day. I hope you survive in one piece.

Allie: Have a nice day with your kids.

Wendy:
Hi. I'm sure it's your turn at Scrabble or something.

Have a nice afternoon. I now smell nice and have places to go, people to see, and mischief to make.

p.s. To the ladies on the thread. I got invited to a baby shower and when I called to r.s.v.p (did y'all know that's French? respondez s'il vous plait. I think I spelled that right. Did I just get sidetracked? Shocking)

ANYWAY! The chick told me they will be charging $15.00 per person to come to the baby shower. I find that to be tacky. Thoughts? Thanks.

ETA: Celery: TY. I think my kids want me to come along b/c I'm not afraid to bend a few rules, and I have been known to get into uhhhh "trouble" on field trips and such. heh Life's too short, ya know? Loosen up people!

I agree. If you can't afford to host a party then just have it at a restaurant and let everybody pay for their own.

That better be in liuui? (how do you spell that word? Is it french?) of a gift!
I typically spend around 20 to 25 for showers - so I would NOT be shelling out an extra 15 bucks.
What a ripoff.
If 15 people come, that's $225. It DOES NOT cost that much to throw a shower.
Especially in mamacan'tfindya! ;)

A Cover Charge for a Baby Shower????
:faint:
Color me shocked. And appalled.

Here on the prairie and in my former life in North Carolina, baby showers are given by a group and hosted in a home or a church. So if you are in the group throwing the shower you usually chip in for flowers and cake and/or offer to bring other food. If you are just invited your presence and presents are enough.

No, I wish! 8 games. None are my turn. :sad2:

Little Announcement: I need you Bible Belters Help...

Ok, We're seriously considering moving to Tennessee! See, I have 2 cousins who are trying desperately to talk us into it (since they're looking too) . Based on taxes, housing etc, it's 25% (aprx) cheaper than the cost of living here in SL,UT. It would totally help us out financially to move there.

The houses on-line are great! Bigger than ours (we need 5+ bedrooms because we have 6 now) and WAYYYYYY cheaper.

BUT.

We're worried about the job market. And I'm worried about tornados. :scared1:

Thoughts? Opinions? Advice?

NO, Celery, I'm not stalking YOU.

HELLLLLLP!

P.S. would I HAVE to eat greens?

Well, if you live in "SLUT"

not sure if you could do better!! ;) :rotfl2:

sorry - *g

Jobs are hard to come by - I would hate to leave a steady job for a entry level position that may get cut - so many jobs are on the bubble - Eli Lilly is making huge cuts, Motorola, Linens N Things closing - lots of other retail stores are closing hundreds of stores - I just heard that Disney is buying back the Disney store, but is closing hundreds of stores!!

You may not have to eat greens, but you will have to talk and walk slower, the enjoy life scenario - also you may have to get used to Sweet Tea, grits, biscuits and gravy, and learn that country fried steak is not made from beef!!

I wish we could move to Texas - but alas, DH is stuck in the north!! :rotfl:

What's wrong with saying "spelunking", E? :confused3

DS12 and I are about ready to roll off to my workplace where he will see the exciting  world of mainframe computer programming.

-- Rob
DH never did that to our kids - they begged, dh said he had "real work to do" "real BORING"!! :rotfl2:

What she said -

and charging for a Babyshower!! Dont let the ladies on theknot.com here that - they'd skewer them alive - what does the $15 go towards?
(great French btw!)

and my goodness it is sign away time - and our school has cancelled all field trips - no more 6th grade 2 night Outdoor Education program, no more 8th grade Field trip to Springfield (Lincoln library, home, etc) no more Great America Trips!! :scared1:

morning

I have three kids today and they are nuts.........brats is the word...they are driving me nuts......tomorrow no kids..

Maybe tomorrow look at my clothes to see what has died during the winter....you know the elastics that LET GOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

IF I HEAR THAT WORD ONCE more ....I AM BORED>.......I dont let them go out until the neighborhood wakes up ....

Afternoon PUmba - did you find something for them to do, or find an attic to ditch them in?? lol j/k!!

Moo I subbed in jr hi - they showed a movie - paid a guest speaker something about "chart your course" (as in dont be a loser dont drop out but positive crap) It was so loud my ears ache!!

DH worked till 5:30 AM - so since its take your child to work day, school runs on a half day (it used to be nobody went to school, now only a few are ab due to the half day lol) SO DD had to come to work with me till her school would allow her in to the building (30min) SO I took her around and introduced her to the teachers, gave her a feel for her next year!! The principal thought that was neat - (after I assured her she wouldnt be staying lol)

I'm bored!!

(/k pumba!!)

Sandy, so you caved, so now start enjoying the planning! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Your DD is so pretty you will love the new BBB pics!

Thanks Marita - make sure you eat something!! ;)

I've got all my adr's made... I liked the tea at GF, I'm debating on doing it again... I got Garden Grill, so maybe I can book the diver? and we did get the adr for the Mickey Mouse Magical Tour!! That should be fun!

Heya, MOOvers! Today is my half-day at work! w00t! Plus, the weather here is pretty dang good, so I'm in a spiffy mood today! Hope y'all are too!

1. BBN, that is hideously tacky! Sounds a bit like a shakedown, if you ask me. Around here, showers are hosted by family (and sometimes friends as well). If they can't afford to have a big shindig at a restaurant or function hall, they should just do a dessert-and-coffee get-together at the host's house. This kind of behavior is on a par with greenback showers. Very trashy. :sad2:

2. My kids clamor for me to go along on field trips too. When I accompanied Boris' class to Plimoth Plantation this past November, several of his classmates asked if they could be in my group, and got ticked off if the answer was no. My group was singing funny songs on the bus and played dead bug tag after lunch. There may have been some eye rolling by a coupla other moms. :rolleyes1 Feh!

You are delusional. Believe me. Your kids do NOT want you to go on their field trips. BTW, I was at Plymouth Plantation. Is that anything like Plimouth Plantation? I also hopped over the fence and stood on Plymouth Rock. I would post a picture but I'm pretty sure it violated some sort of FEDERAL LAW or something. So, I'm not going to.

Dear Doofus, the proper spelling is indeed Plimoth Plantation. Look it up.

But thanks for trying. ;)

I too just wanted to make sure your crime was quoted.

HA! :rotfl2:

I know you'd be HA-ing me too if I were the one eating humble pie. :cool2:
Poor deer.

I did look it up. That is the STUPIDEST thing I have ever seen. Who ever heard of putting a Plimoth Plantation near PLYMOUTH Rock? Now why wouldn't the founders have been consistent? It is either Plimoth or Plymouth. NOT BOTH. Congratulations LINT. Apparently you come by the twisted logic you display daily honestly as presently evidenced by your North Eastern ancestors.

I checked and it seems WT is right! DANG!

We are spelling impared so I got my hopes up he was for once, indeed, WRONG.

hey now, my eldest DID too want me along on field trips, so when I asked 2nd son if he wanted me to chaperone his band trip - the "look" came on, but 1st born son said "Trust me, you want Mom there, its a good thing" :goodvibes (maybe because I was assigned to chaperone girls, not my own kids, didnt ride their bus, stay on their floor - but by gosh I was there for money!! LOL)

Lexi Here's what it looks like in my neck of the woods!! (no video!!)

A cold front moved in, heavy storms predicted - and cold... *sigh... sometime after Mother's Day is a goog plan to plant flowers...

I wish I could find a picture of the grounds around the temple - it's tres chic! (Is a temple allowed to be chic? anyway, I really like the fountain they have)

PM me your number so I can call you.
Cuz I don't have your home number.
Just the old cell number.
