Wendy- our dates look pretty firm for Oct 24-31. Does that work? Plan on being at DL at least 25-27. Hate to hear about Dallen's problems. All us guys have been there on one side or the other.

Please share the pictures with the class. Lexi

How's your today Marita? Did you at least get to eat today? Find a way to let go of the job stress? (is that even possible?)

MNSSHP We opted out last year - should we or shouldnt we this year??
Garden Grill - Uma did you get the special diver? seating??

WheatThins are we going to get a copy of your acronyms? :dance3:

PJstill thinking positive thoughts for you!!

Moo how was your today???

Donald thanks for noticing me!

I booked a MMM tour - Mickey Mouse Magical tour (I'm not sure now what its called!!) its only $25 for ages 10 and up, a "3 hour tour" from mainstreet you take the train to Toontown, and meet and greet MM and find out why he hasnt married Minnie yet... and other details... Donald helps you earn your ears and you get to see Philharmagic... I think she'll enjoy it - its her birthday day - then at 1:30 BBB - you could've knocked me over with a feather when I picked her up from school and she was telling her gf - I say later "do you want to do that this year?" "well, I'd like to, if its not too much money" :confused3 How can I resist - next year she'll be a teenager...

Today was better, thanks, Sandy. Getting a 2-day break for deadlines and pressures. But I still haven't eaten ......

Sandy, I thought you were not going this year because of the wedding. Did you change your mind?

I read some at work today, so please forgive me if I don't remember everything

Lex, sorry you didn't get to see Mimi on TV  I toadily fell for Wendy's trick! :rotfl:

I enjoyed going to HDDR a couple years ago. But then, I still like to see Country Bear Jamboree on occasion :goodvibes

I can't believe I missed getting something for our secretary. I'm out of the office for a meeting tomorrow, so I'll have to rectify that on Friday, maybe with :flower3:

Twink, what's you decide to do about your hair??? I'm waiting to see if Mony posts later.

Sandy! I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to entrust my hair to an on-sale haircut!!!!!!!!!! I go mine cut last night and ended up doing a little snipping on my bangs because I thought they were a little uneven and too long on one side  They should be fine in time for DD's graduation :rotfl2:

Glad you're figuring out some trip stuff for your DD's birthday. You and your DD looked so cute with your BBB dos :) BTW, I always think of MommyP when I see :laundy:

MommyP!!! If you read back, I was thinking of you!

DTD, yay for double paychecks!!!!!!!!! :yay:

Marita, that was kinda funny!!! I've never heard that "fry my hide" expression before :confused3

Peej, hope your day was a little better :sunny:

Where's Nabbie?

Sandy, I thought you were not going this year because of the wedding. Did you change your mind?

no dh and dd wore me down!! ITs the stupidest thing we're doing imho - but I cant fight 'em off anymore!! I think part of it is DH's father died at the age of 62 of heart failure - he had several open heart surgeries, angioplasties... etc... and I truly believe dh feels his mortality - his arguement was "life is short, next year dd will be a teenager, cant we go and enjoy one last trip with our dd?"

You can only stand against that so long... I'm just not that strong!! I fought him last year he wanted to book the bounceback Free dining!! no... Dec is Christmas, Jan wedding...

I'm a bad bad girl!!

sheesh - I got booted but at least it posted!!

BTW - Melinda things are green in your neck of the woods, tomorrow, I'll see if I cant capture the brown-ness that is still Chicago land!!

Sandy, so you caved, so now start enjoying the planning! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Your DD is so pretty you will love the new BBB pics!

Hey! I didn't know San Diego was part of this trip too. I want to come! I liked DL well enough (and would love to go back someday) but I absolutely loved San Diego.

I wrapped up baseball schedules last night and we sent them out today. So far, only one request has come back and no complaints (again, SO FAR). Tonight's baseball game and practice were both rained out so I was able to work late but I am leaving now (trying to decide what to eat since I missed our evening meal). Funny thing is I actually had a pretty good day here in the office for a change, most enjoyable. I'm in a very chipper mood.

Tomorrow is "Take Your Kids to Work Day" and, for the first time ever, one of my boys, DS12, is coming down wih me to see my exciting job in action. :rotfl2: I told him he'd better bring DS10's laptop from home to give him something to do while he watches me type. I may have to limit my DIS time tomorrow to present the "proper image" to the impressionable yute. ;)

Rob - My Cousin Vinny!!!

WooT (TMWT) on finishing the schedule :cool1: Hope your son has fun tomorrow

Yesterday was my workplace's Earth Day celebration/Take Your Kid to Work Day. It was a zoo because all of the indoor activities are on the floor where I work because we have an "Atrium" adjacent to our office (in quotes because it really doesn't get that much natural light).

We had over a thousand school kids come through this year. I didn't volunteer to help out at any of the booths this year (bad Moo!) because I figured I would have too much work stuff going on. But it turned out to be really hard to concentrate due to the noise level.

The kids sure seemed to be having a great time though! I always enjoy seeing how much my coworkers' kids (that are the right age to attend) have grown since the previous year.

Well, I think I am finally tired enough to go to bed. All day meeting tomorrow - oh, joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

My goodness...look at the time! Gotta get in the shower.

This entire week is state mandated testing that the kids are prepped for all year long. No way is anybody getting out for a *take your kids to work* day here! They don't even care if they're sick....just bring them to school!

I'll check back later. :wave2:

Everybody have a good day!

Oh, thanks a pantload! I suppose I'm going to have to let the kids outta the attic then, right? :rolleyes1

Brilliant idea, Bill. Simply brilliant!:thumbsup2

BABYNURSE!!!! You have created a monster. I hope you are happy.

I get it now. You guys were ricrolled...AGAIN! Ha. That was good. I didnt click on it at the time, cuz I have stinkin' dial up and I thought well maybe later. *whew* that was a close one.:rotfl:

Well, she got me my first REAL running shirt. :woohoo: You know the cool wicking kind. Maybe it'll make me look more like a real runner. :cool2:

That sounds like a great present. Yay for you!

He got his FIRST A ever in English!! The professor loves his poetry!!

More good news. Yay for you guys too!

OH! I just went outside to take some pictures of how beautiful it is here today and ended up with videos....mostly of my feet. But I did go back out and take a decent one from my front yard. If you'd like to see it, just ask.

Why were they mostly of your feet?:confused3

And HDDR is a right of passagetmbabynurse

:rotfl: FINALLY, someone understands the importance of the rite of passage!

p.s. Yay for you too about double checks!

Maybe if I'm brave, I'll post a pic of my new doo.

How did it turn out? Beeyouteeful?

We had over a thousand school kids come through this year

Oh gosh that sounds like a headache day!

 to all the rest of y'all. How's it going?

Does anybody else with school age children feel like all they are doing is signing permission slips this week? I think the entire month of May is devoted entirely to field trips. Plus my kids all want me to chaperone. My 3rd grader is going to the zoo on a Friday and then my 1st grader is going to the zoo the following Monday. The zoo trip is always a hard one, cuz you actually have to *watch* the kids and not let them get kidnapped or wander into the lion cage or jump into the polar bear pool. Who needs that kind of pressure?;)

Why were they mostly of your feet?:confused3
Because I thought I was in *picture* mode when I was actually in *video* mode. I get one good shot at the beginning and the rest of the video is of my jeans and shoes walking to where I took the next "picture".

Aha! Makes sense.

One of my kids is going to Kings Island too. Plus a $65 trip to Indy. and the list goes on and on and on. I dont remember taking quite that many field trips when I was a kid. We did seem to go spelunking every year, since there are a myriad of caves in southern Indiana.

The do is cute. I just got lots of highlights.

I decided not to cut it, just growing it out.

Now there's volume.

(No WT, that doesn't mean my hair is loud)

DH and DS1 left of Chicago this morning. They had to get up at 4:30am. That's the fastest we ever saw him get out of bed and take a shower. We were just giggling at him. He was so excited this morning. When DH woke him up, his response was YES!

Too cute. And when he got on 1 of the 4 charter buses that were going, his "group" he is rooming with were like, "Hey Matt, sit with us."

He has social issues and very few friends, so that was nice to hear about.

Tim promised to call throughout the day with updates of how things are going.

Tim took the camera, duh. I can't take a picture until the weekend.

morning

I have three kids today and they are nuts.........brats is the word...they are driving me nuts......tomorrow no kids..

Maybe tomorrow look at my clothes to see what has died during the winter....you know the elastics that LET GOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

IF I HEAR THAT WORD ONCE more ....I AM BORED>.......I dont let them go out until the neighborhood wakes up ....

Mony- Glad Matt had buddies that wanted him to sit with him. :grouphug: That's always a relief.

Well, I finally got the kids up, since they are going to work with me. I told them that we have to leave early because they have closed the main road I use to get to school (stupid road work:headache: ). So, I guess I better go get myself ready. It's a lovely day, so maybe DS will be able to help play with the kids outside. :thumbsup2

Have a goog day everyone!

What's wrong with saying "spelunking", E? :confused3

DS12 and I are about ready to roll off to my workplace where he will see the exciting  world of mainframe computer programming.

AND Universal Studios...I forgot that one as a possible deal breaker for you to consider. I'm sure you'd fit right in with my whole family (including future DIL) and my newly adopted son, Donald!

Because I thought I was in *picture* mode when I was actually in *video* mode. I get one good shot at the beginning and the rest of the video is of my jeans and shoes walking to where I took the next "picture".

Heh, I have a lovely little video clip when the same thing happened to me. The camera was hanging around my neck at the time and the whole thing is of just the funky view bouncing back and forth, to and fro  (don't make me explain further)

Take a picture of you're new loud hair as soon as you're able. That's right up my ally.
Your DH and DS are gone? LUCKY ...
