Can I share a brief moment of bragging? Remember the test I took 5 weeks ago? The one where I had a 101 degree fever during Attack of the Strep: Part II? I'm sure you've all been losing sleep at night wondering if I passed it. Anyway, I just got the results of it and I did in fact pass. :woohoo: I also got a Recognition of Excellence certificate for scoring in the top 5%. :snooty: I can breathe a huge sigh of relief now. That was really stressing me out.

Hope everyone had a nice Monday.
:grouphug:

Congrats! I knew you would ace it but since I too have taken exams while Extremely Sick and Under the Influenceofcoldmeds I know you were worried.

When is the skipping party?

Friday at the Panera in NotReallyNashvilleJustSouthABit!
Be there or be square!
or chicken
bwak!
So, as a thread, are we for open borders? Cuz I take issue with that stance, despite my geographical location here in the bluest of blue states. Just saying. ;)
Please say yes. Cuz I'm sick of my living situation and am looking for a new one.
Hopefully near NotReallyNashvilleJustSouthABit for my new job. Anyone need a boarder there?
I also disboard.
and will snowboard if required.

1. I would highly recommend it. It was heartwarming. Which is the best kind of movie. Duh.

2. Cel...my Nashvegas trip is still up in the air. It's supposed to be Friday, though. A decision will be made within the next day-ish. If I end up coming, I'll swing by LooUhVull and get the bbn and we'll all skip and have a pillow fight. Deal?

1. ICK! and ACK! Sounds yucky and girly.
:crazy2:

2. Yay! See above! I'm breadmanless this weekend, so a girl's fun trip sounds good!

3. WooooooooTTTTTTT! We knew you're the best twinkessori teacher around!!!!

A gentile "Hello, guvner!" to everyone else!

(no, I haven't drunk ALL the rum. Just the majority.)

Yay! That's awesome. :woohoo:
Thanks, Utah. :)

Thanks. I hope to never do it again. I was positive I failed it. I guess I'm a pessimist! I had all these visions of me walking with my class but not getting a diploma since I didn't pass and would have to re take the thing. That's what would have happened and it would have majorly sucked. I was jumping for joy when I opened that letter.

1. Hmmm. The main character was a 12 year old boy. And the adult male lead was "the hottest man alive" (according to Hollywood, not me, I thought his lips were wIerd). So I guess it was pretty girly in retrospect. But it was a feel good movie and it made me happy!

2. Can we even braid each others hair?

3. Thanks, Cel!

I think you mean h'lo. It's different than regular hello and it goes better with guvner (guvna?)

I had a great day shopping and stuff only to get ruined by a message left on my machine.....

REPORT FOR JURY DUTY NEXT MONDAY!! :scared1: They said it I was selected for an emergency panelist, what ever that means :confused3 Does that mean it will only be that day, can I still get out of it. Who will send my kids to school if I have to leave here at 8:00? And have to be here when they get home at 3:30....

Babynurse -- glad you got to see your grandpa. I feel that way every time I leave my mom, I give her the biggest hug when I go. You never know...she is 75 but does have health issues related to smoking.

P.J-- :yay: on the test. Hope your around more now we missed you.

Celery-- when is your next interview, have you heard back yet? Will you have to move?

Sandy-- nice to see you back, I loved planning weddings. That is nice you are so involved, I'm sure it take a little stress off them.

Hi NAB, thanks for the get well wishes for Natasha. She had some dry toast, then a banana that has stayed where we put it, thankfully. Right now, she's reading over my shoulder, and she wants to say:

Spring is finally here, and I feel better now! Whoopeee!

:hippie: :cheer2: :grouphug: :dance3: :bride: :woohoo:

Celery, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Managing people sucks!

I ran away from work today. Seriously, the stress was killing me, so I left work at 1:30 and haven't even checked email since then. Haven't eaten today either, which is not goog!

Pj, congrats!

NAb, yikes!!!

Sorry about all the pukey, sick and peeing kiddos around.

BBN, glad you got to see your grandpa:hug:

Oh, forgot to say, WB Sandy, good to see you!

Not fully Hooch Free...one can in the morning. But working on it. DH was impressed at the money we're saving by not spending $5.00 pr day on Hooch. He even commented that the money saved could go toward a WDW trip someday. I won't tell him about the $$$ on bottled fancy-pants-water and iced soy sugarfree Latte's I've been buying instead....:sad2:
$5.00 per day? Are you adding hooch to your hooch? I guess you've got to pay more for the quality of Diet Pepsi as opposed to the Diet Coke stuff we buy. $5 here in BigKC buys you 20 cans or 5 2-liters if you buy your Diet Coke hooch on sale.

ETA: I vote to keep it long, Twinkadoodle!
Me too! (FWIW)

ETA: Wendy has the curly hair syndrome too? What did our children do to us? ACK!!
I think it's hormonal. You know, you'd think a BBN would know these things.

I so knew the first one would happen and am not at all surprised by the second.

I agree!

I didn't get to eat lunch today either Marita. Something else came up that changed my plans for my lunch hour. We should go get dinner together. :thumbsup2 Actually, I'm so looking forward into tearing into a double cheeseburger at DS12's baseball game tonight.

WELCOME BACK, SANDY!!! YOU WERE MISSED! :yay:

Glad to hear things are going well. Sounds like the wedding planning is coming along great.

I am home from work (again!) today, since I awoke to the sound of Natasha beurking at 6:15 this morning.

I suppose it's okay that I stayed home today, since today is the Boston Marathon, and that always wonks up traffic for the entire day. (Trying to find the bright side, y'know?)
Sorry Natasha was buerky today  TG she's feeling better!

A coworker of mine ran in the Boston Marathon! Our secretary is planning a Boston-themed party on Friday to celebrate. Boston Cream Pie. Boston Baked Beans. Are these things really Bostonish??! I told her I'd ask you about some real Boston-themed stuff :lmao:

:dance3: YOU ROCK, PJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I guess I didn't quote everything I thought I did

bbn, thanks for sharing about your grandpa with us :grouphug:

Nabbie! BOO on being called to jury duty like that! Do you have a friend or neighbor who might be able to help you out with the kids?

Marita, hope tomorrow will be better

194 point Scrabble Goddess, Mony!!!!!!!!

Hi to everyone else :goodvibes Sorry for no personal shoutouts

Marita......I think that you need to know that you have to have three meals a day......and a few snacks too.......you have to.....it is not good to go without....even go without one of those meals..You are depriving your body of important stuff......if you dont replenish it....then your body takes out of your stored stuff....YOU NEED FOOD....

Thanks, Moo. She is still a little moosh-moosh, but she's much better than she was earlier.

Boston Cream Pie and Boston Baked Beans are indeed Boston-ish, but they are so often poorly done that they have become sort of a joke. For the best recipes for either, check out AmericasTestKitchen.com (they're based in Boston, and have great, well-tested (duh) recipes.

Brief and unrequested history lesson: The Boston Cream Pie was created at the Parker House Hotel in Boston, which is also famous for having employed such notable personalities as Ho Chi Minh, Malcom X and Emeril Lagasse. It's also where JFK proposed to Jacquie.

Thank you, and have a magical day. ;)

Thanks, L! Interesting history facts. Too lazy to sign up to look at the Boston Cream Pie and baked beans recipes, but maybe will later this week after talking with our secretary. I also saw Boston baked cod was listed. Maybe we can have tea too :rotfl2:

Here are my coworker's stats (he is in his early 50s): Official time was 3:55:53. Finished 1,403 in his division of 4,227; finished 8,092 of 14,844 of male runners; and finished 10,530 overall of 25,283 runners.

Your turn. Can you crack 500, BingoGirl???!!

That's a sucky Haiku Celery. ;)

Sandy! Welcome back!!!!!! So much to tell you and ask you!

GladURBack.jpg

goog golly Moovers!! :) :) :)
:wizard:

I am going to type this, and not believe it -

1. its 9:30 - passed my bedtime (but it allows me computer time! I get up at 5am)

2. DH has insisted I plan a trip for DD bday... :faint:

3. :scared1:

where do I begin? How do I? where? what?
It will be in the middle of Oct.
dd wants me to "surprise" her - ummm all surprises are done. I have nothing left up my sleeve (the last freedining was the LAST trip - I have pulled out all the stops...)

I was hoping to wait till she was old enough to do a tour... I dont think she'll pass as 16 dagnabit!!

Thanks for noticing me!!:flower3:

Sandy, I wish I had your "problem"!!! Does your hubby just want to go to Food & Wine Festival again? ;)

How about going to Disneyland instead??!

OR . . . do a couple days at WDW, then go to Universal/Islands of Adventure/Sea World. I know those other places don't compare to Disney in many ways, but it would be something different if you haven't been there before or if it has been a while since you've visited. Your DD might enjoy them!

Moo, there'll be a quiz later on tonight's lesson. Heh.

Good for your co-worker! I couldn't do the marathon in a bazillion years!

I'm 10 points away from 500. And it's your turn. :cool2:

I did it! :cool1: Sheesh, I guess I'm easily amused, huh? :rolleyes1
