Good Morning Mooovers!

It's truly shorts weather here today for the first day in a long, long time. Yes, my kids have worn shorts to school already this Spring but I mean it's finally shorts weather for sane people  (as in around 80 degrees).

Everybody come on over and play trivia! Save the link and play daily!

Sunday is Bible trivia day! :thumbsup2

Twinkie....poly plays every day. I pm'd her a link to Moovin2 so maybe I need to pm another link to this thread.

Good Morning Glories:)

Thanks for the link Melinda! I thought I'd lost you kids forever... or you were all playing hide and seek:)
Haven't been online much, except to play trivia in the morning.
I'll be back later and check in . hope you all are fine and dandy

Goog Morning, Everybody :sunny:

POLY!!! We've missed you, missy! :grouphug:

Especially those of us who are trivia-challenged  Hope things have settled down a bit for you.

GM is currently on strike at the plant closest to me. It's kind of strange seeing all the vehicles parked along the entrance road to the plant as I travel to and from work :sad2:

Rob, we have another pretty day here!

Lex, I agree with Rob about your Sunday morning posts :)

DH and I had a funny thing happen last night. Since it was so mild out, we were relaxing in the hot tub for a while. Both puppies got up on the steps and were uncharacteristically peering in at us. They usually don't get that close. DH was joking about them wanting to take a dip. Next thing we knew, Jasper had scrambled up on the edge of the tub, then was in the water!!! :rotfl2: He was paddling for dear life right toward me. He caught me on the arm with his toenails and I have a couple pretty good scratches :scared: Then hubby got ahold of him and put him up on the side out of the water. I don't think he'll be doing that again any time soon!!!!!!!!!

When it gets warmer, I think we'll take them both out to the lake to see how they like swimming

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Did I tell you I DID buy airfare for the September trip on Friday when SW released their fall schedule? It was around $175/person non-stop RT Loo-uh-vull/Orlando with taxes/fees/etc. So I guess my imaginary trip is becoming real.
WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Marita....Peanut M&Ms? Big bag? I'll be right over. Orlando question: Allears net says to take the greenway from the airport to Disney but googlemaps says to take the bee line? Which is better? And is there a grocery store on the way? Please and thank you. Also: the chess team picture was so cute. Emily noted that the two *dorks* on the right in the old picture are now *totally adorable*.

Lexi, take the Bee line, it's faster and cheaper. There is a Goodiings at Crossroads in LBV, right off
I-4, but it is very expensive. There is a Publix not too far from Pop, though. Where are you staying?

I agree wth Emily on the boys, LOL

Rob, you stayed up till 6:30 and back up at 9'sh????????

Poly, welcome back!!!!!!!!!!

Rob, you stayed up till 6:30 and back up at 9'sh????????
Something like that. Again, it's the baseball scheduling weekend BUT my boys' activities continue to go on so I pretty much have to stay up most of Friday and Saturday nights to get it all done without missing any family stuff. Good news is everything is on track and I'll be able to go to bed at a decent time tonight. :thumbsup2

None of my quotes showed up and now I have to post from memory!:headache:

To everybody that gave hugs on the loss of my friend: Thank you so much. It has been a really difficult couple of weeks here at Sunnybrook lately. The sun has decided to stay firmly hidden behind the clouds I guess, but I know that with God's grace and prayers from family and friends we will get through all of this chaos. The worst thing about our friend dying is that he was only 19. And he really was like one of our family. He stayed at our house while we went to WDW for 10 days and housesat and fed our animals and took care of things. When I would announce at the rodeos, he would come up there and keep me company and we would talk for hours about his plans, his life, and just joke around and stuff. He always made sure I had something to eat or drink and would even take over if I needed to "powder my nose". I could go on, but it is hard to continue without feeling sad, and I want to remember him as the bright, funny, good lookin', compassionate kid that he was. OK. That's all I can say about it, so I hope you guys understand. He is sorely missed. Thanks again for your sweet words.

BBN - I don't remember reading of this, so I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll be praying for healing for everyone involved.

1. But that's why God invented unlimited text! ;)
2. Happy last day in your thirties! Woo!
3. I brought back atlanta bread company and sent Twinkie's comment to them in email.
they were chastised. :snooty:

Oh, yeah, I know. I enjoyed the day. :cool2: Glad you got a good lunch afterall! :thumbsup2

Yes, I am in my tub. It's the easiest place to take pictures.

Love that dress! You ARE a skinny minnie, missy! Did you sew that yourself? I'm impressed.

Hello, freaks, creeps, and moovers. Is that a nice way to greet one's friends?

I ran my first field trip today. I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but since spring break I have taken over the classroom. (that sounds kinda funny). I just mean at this point in the student teaching process the little buggers are all mine. My teacher just sits back and watches. Today we went to see the play Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Aside from one pants wetting incident and one use of an expletive by a small child there were no major issues. Woot....first running of field trip was a success.

Re: Pirate and Princess Party. It is AWESOME!!!!! Most adults didn't have costumes or just had on a pirate shirt or a tiara or something. All of the kids were dressed up, though. Which I guess is why my group was dressed up. Here we all are:

castlecloseup.jpg

Yes, Eren and I are making goog use of old ballet costumes. :rolleyes1 Hollywood is of course the red-headed wench from PotC. Looking for that picture made me want to cut my hair again. That was over a year ago and it's long now.

Allie...glad you had a nice trip. And I have to second the fact that the kids were texting because they didn't want adults to hear what they were saying.

Glad you had a successful first field trip. Sounds like it went well (except for the cursing child and pants wetting incident). :thumbsup2

Love the pic. BTW, since I'm new, which one are you? :confused3

I know they didn't want us to hear, and I probably wouldn't have like what I heard, so I guess it was better. Although, the little girl got in trouble later because the little black boy she was texting complained to his teacher that she used the "n" word in her text. :sad2:

Allie, happy last day of your 30s!!! Now you join me and Wendy on our journey into our 40s (eeeeek!!!!) We should have a MOOvers weekend in New York. We could celebrate our milestone b-days, and the b-days of anyone else who'd care to join us!

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I did enjoy my last day in my 30's, and I would LOVE a trip to NYC!!!

I'll be back with more comments later, but DS really needs to finish his Biology paper, so gotta go. :wave2:

Great you can rest for work tomorrow, Rob. I think my all-night days are over. But I DID have some.

Right now, I am really hating work!!!!!!!!!!! Why do they spring stuff on me at 4:30 on Friday afternoon to answer by noon on Monday? And it will take some time, too. Nothing easy.
So it's eating into my weekend, on top of what I already had to work on today. So am not a happy camper today. And my brain is not functioning well.

But I got the vacuuming done. Laundry is next.

Hopefullly the family will be home safe and sound in about an hour or 2.

Poly!!!!! How are you woman? I agree we miss you !!!

Allie -- P.j. is the beautifull one .....Her sister is the one next to her in the red. ( she is a princess in the white dress)

Rob-- How old at these kids that play at 10:00 ? Our games are 6:00 to 8:00 or 6:30 to 8:30 and I find that late when we have to get homework done and get to bed at good time.

Moo-- Poor doggy!!

Marita--You sound like you have been very busy all weekend.

We have been out enjoying the weather. Yesterday we worked today we played.

I had an extra girl last night because one slept over , but I also had one less boy he had a sleep over else where. So everyone is pretty tired now.

Hope I stay wake for Housewives...

Hi Nabbie, good to see you agian.
k
That kkichen guy has kept you busy, LOL!

I have been more steaming and cursing about work than actually doing work,
And ask me if I care! But I still worry. CaRP!!!!!!!!

It's ruining mY weekend. I worry about it, crap! And I have to put up laundry.

I hope it all works out for you Marita.

Maybe you need another vacation.... Glad to hear you mom is doing better too!!

Yes I will be glad when the kitchen is done. I still have a few things to pick out , bathroom taps, and hallway lights . I finally get a break and get to go out tomorrow because he isn't coming, he has an appointment or something.

Which reminds me I have to take some pictures of the progress. I will post one when it is done. A before and after.

YES, Nabbie, I NEED another vacation. I want to go back on the ship and Castaway Cay! 3 days a year is not enough.

I worry about work, yet I dont want to do things, whch is stressing me out. Why do they do this to me on the weekend?????

I was watching "Spice up my Kitchen" the other day and thought about you.

Glad you have a day off tomorrowo

YES, Nabbie, I NEED another vacation. I want to go back on the ship and Castaway Cay! 3 days a year is not enough.

Marita! A cruise! That's wonderful. i'm glad you finally took a vacation,girl!

Hey Nab! Congrats on the new kitchen. Hey,we may be heading to Niagara in July 9 if we can afford the gas) Don't you live nearby?

poly! You're here! Nice to type a message to you that is more than 20 letters long! Good job on the trivia today, girl! And there were no Catholic questions! Anyway....How are you? How's your family?

Marita.....Is that Goodings in the plaza that's right across the road from the turn in to the DTD hotel area? Right off I-4? We're staying at POR. I really would like to have a rental car. I know my way around the property well enough and we drove everywhere last year. Not sure I can function w/out one. Anyway, it would allow us a trip to the grocery. I guess it'd be cheaper to order Garden Grocer and ride the bus.

NAB! Glad to hear there's progress in the kitchen. I hate picking out fixtures! I'm so indecisive in that area.

Allie....I can answer. The pirate ballerina is the second from the left.

Celery....You're dress is awesome. Now what are you going to do for curtains?

Moo! Hot tub puppy! That's adorable. Poor skeered lil guy.

Rob....Get some sleep so the little league parents can yell at ya about the schedule tomorrow!

Monica & Twinkie!
Thanks for playing trivia! Come back again tomorrow!

I'm going to finish watching Water Horse: Legend of the Deep.

Yes. that's the one, Lexi. Expensive as heck, they really take advantage of the tourists. Or maybe just to pay for the expensive real estate. But still expensive. I heard some rumblings about a Winn-Dixie somewhere (Zzub) but I have no idea where that is.

I highly recommend Publx, near POP.

Or better yet, get delivery and chauffeuring....... A driver, I mean.....

EKKKKKKKKK, I cant spell!!!!!!!

Rob-- How old at these kids that play at 10:00 ? Our games are 6:00 to 8:00 or 6:30 to 8:30 and I find that late when we have to get homework done and get to bed at good time.
Oops. That's AM, Nab. 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Our latest games start at 7:30 p.m. and go for 75 minutes, getting done just before 9:00. Weekday game times are tough. If you schedule them too early, parents complain they don't have time to get home from work. If you schedule them too late, parents complain they and their kids are out too late.

We have 13 fields but only one has lights and this is the first season for that field to have lights. The really sad thing is the lights were installed after the season, late October of 2007, and over the winter, the copper thieves hit and stole our copper wiring. So, when we first went to turn them on this Spring, ack, nothing! They've been fixed now though so our 7 and 8 year olds will get to play under the lights, some of them for their first time ever, which is a big deal to the younger kids.

-- Rob

Happy Sunday evening to all!

Just poppin' in to say hey! :wave2:

Rob -- we only have a few park that have lights for the kids to play. Last year we were playing were there were lights but no one had the key to turn them on. Then they tried to play by car lights but that really didn't work either so we had to give up. That was the same game our empire was sick and a parent had to take over. :sad2: It as a playoff game too!

Poly-- Niagara is two hours away, not far. Actually have been there a few times this year.

Marita-- Don't let work stress you out. Is your family home yet?

Yes, nab, family is home.
I gave up on work. Sc*****, I mean, bless them!!!!!!!!!

I can retire if I want to. Would you like fries with that? Want to supersize it?

Would you like a cart/buggy?????

Welcome to Walmart!

See, I can do it!!!

Oh Nabbie, speaking of nothing related to above, but general home improvement. I need a new sink in one of my bathrooms. It's really scuffed up. So I mentioned it to DH. for about the 4th time, and all I get is a "yeah"

GRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Have to do it anyway when we sell the house, so might as well do it now.
