I hurt a bit the day when i got home, not too much. I made it ok with the help of a cane at work, but it got worse as the day went on. Talked to the nurse today, she said it's not unusual after being off the foot for so long, to just go short distances with the walker, and that they could sign me out again for a few days. I left it at that, but will call her back tomorrow to sign me out, not sure how long "a few days" is. The good news is that it's a little less painful today, so i hope for the best.

One of my bosses had a ruptured appendix removed laparoscopically last weekend. I dropped off some flowers and treats from my coworkers, plus FMLA paperwork, last night. She was moving pretty slowly and having a lot of nausea from the antibiotics, but still thinks she is returning to work on Monday. We'll see if she actually does...

It's been really hot these last few days so I have been staying in the air conditioning.

Nab, I was back to work last week and lasted 1 day. The nerves in my heel got inflamed and it was very painful to walk. So I have been off again last Thursday until this Thursday. Still not feeling great, but much better.

OK, update on my foot situation. Heel is fine now, so I can walk without pain, but the damn boot is still uncomfortable, and I cant walk too far (like forget grocery store). But 1 wee from tomorrow it's supposed to be done, I can't wait!!

Nabbie and family are Disney bound later this month and hubby and I are going down in late October for Food & Wine Festival (after I'm RETIRED)!!!!! It sure has been hard waiting out my time at work since my hubby retired in March

Hello Moo and Marita!

Has been a busy month. We just got back from camping with the trailer. We were gone 11 days now are home and leaving Aug 20th instead of the 22nd. Hubby added two days at Universal before we head over to WDW. Then for some reason he added a day to the end of that stay too, so we come home Aug 29. So I really don't know if I am coming or going this month.

After that we have to move Nicholas to his dorm 5 hours away from home on Aug 31st.

So, so tired of packing ....Hopefully I can finish getting Nicholas stuff together today so we just get in the door , wash what he used for clothes and get back out on the road.

Marita-- Hope that foot is better soon. It must be a long summer for you. Weather has been really hot here so it is preparing me for the super hot weather there. At least this time I don't have to pack jeans and sweaters for the trip home...lol

Hi Mony and MommyP, great to have you pop in again after all this time.
Nabbie, vacationing is hard work, LOL. Im sure it will feelinge strange having Nicholas gone, but you do get used to it.

I am finally out of a boot with my foot, and now have to wear sneakers for a month. While that may sound great to some, I hate wearing sneakers, and I have been cheating at work and switching into regular shoes. But I can tell it's harder to walk with them, so I may have suffer for a bit.

It is so hot here and I think Hannah has heat stroke... I tried to get her to drink lots of water too. She is puking now.

Looks like we are in for some bad weather right now at 6:30. Good thing we are in the hotel now at Universal.

It was a pretty nasty thunderstorm this evening for sure. I woke me up from a nap at 7:30 and knocked out the cable. Hopefully it wont be so bad the next few days.

Nabbie, I had to laugh about your hubby expanding your Disney trip! We are up to six nights for late October (started with four) by me watching for ressies opening up, LOL!!! We also think we're going to visit Universal this time. It's a little expensive for a one day pass to both parks, but that's probably what we're going with...

Hubby and I are heading "up north" today and are flying DD in for the weekend. We'll be doing some winery and brewery touring in the Traverse City are. Gorgeous weather up here

Marita, so happy to hear you're healing and out of the boot! Hope we can meet up for dinner or something when we're at WDW.
