Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Marita - So sorry to hear about your brother :grouphug: I second Pumba's comment about being your extended family!

I also read about the average wedding cost being over $20,000. Glad my DD is much more frugal! But she is also keeping things pretty small. We had about 70 at the Michigan party and will have half as many at the wedding and reception. We paid/are paying for both of those. David's folks will be paying for a party in November for their extended family and Mari and David's friends that aren't invited to the wedding/reception. At this point, we're not planning to attend that. I'm guessing if everything was totaled up it would be in the $8,000 range.

Yay! Only one more day of work before the wedding/vacation!!! I am SO ready to be away for a while.

Guess I need to start my packing tonight :)

Moo enjoy your mini vacation! Don't have to tell you to enjoy the wedding, who wouldn't love to be mother of the bride. :goodvibes High honours there.

It has been raining here all day, had a headache it seems for days. Not a strong on just a nagging one.

We have bathfitters coming in to give us an esitmate on the kids bathtub/walls. I hate cleaning those tiles. Bathfitters did our masterbath 8 years ago and it still like brand new. My sister retiled her bathroom and it looks bad already and it hasn't been that long. Hate cleaning groute.

We might have to do more to the shower first though. Nicholas complained about the shower head being too low so we told him to get in and show us. My goodness he really has to bend his knees to get under it. I laughed so hard, he didn't tell us this until now when we said we like to redo it. He would like a rain shower head too . Said the one we have the spray only hits him where ever he is bent over so he gets cold.

On another note...Halloween candy is evil. Bought some mini chocolate bars too early and now have to go get more. Not even suppose to be eatting them at all but my sugar levels have been good.

Marita- still thinking of you and your family at this time. :grouphug:

Thanks for being such good friends :grouphug:

Moo, have fun at the wedding. I'm sure you'll be posting pics.

Nab, funny about Nicholas.

The weather is finally starting to get nice here. Still in the 80's, but just a few more degrees to go before it's perfect.

Got my packing mostly done, but I can't sleep!!!! Goog thing Don will be doing the driving so I can sleep!

I'm sure I packed way too much, but I don't have to worry about my suitcase being overweight, LOL, since we're driving. I can send excess stuff home with hubby before going to Hilton Head :)

Safe travels Moo! I must have missed that you were going somewhere after the wedding.

" Best Wishes for the Bride and Groom!"

Had Bathfitters come in for an esitmate yesterday, wow is all I can say. They went up $1000. in 7 years since we used them last. We have to do some thinking on this one. Maybe I will get someone to come in and retile and move the shower head. I just like how easy to clean the other is.

Kids are off tomorrow for yet another P.A day. I can sleep in tomorrow.

morning...
I have a new email address...I will send it to you guys in PM...not that I want the whole DIS to see it or anything...hahaha..

Marita..hope you are doing okey...thinking of you and your family...

I saw the first part of Twilight last night on FX...and the other night I think I saw part two first...oh well...all I can say is ...EDWARD IS ADORABLE...sexy and all things included...omg he has such a way ...very quiet and sweet and adorable all rolled into one...on the other hand..the werewolf guy...ehh...nice looking and muscles galore...but not my type...I like EDWARD...

We have alot to do this weekend...well today and tomorow too...get the leaves raked up and worry about if the storm from "SANDY" will bring us wind and rain ..or snow and wind...geesh...remember last year...we had a wicked storm and no power......because the trees were still full of leaves...so we were wayyyyyyyyyy off..

moo...have a great time and enjoy yourself after....relax and veg...

Thanks for the good wishes, Nabbie and Pumba! The weather forecast had been great for the wedding on Saturday until today :(

Mari paid extra to get sidewalls for the tent. Looks like we will probably be glad about that.

We made it to NC, but got in fairly late, "got the last room", and did not get our request for two beds and not having air freshener spray in the room, which is a huge problem for my asthma :( They put an ozonator in our room which seems to be helping a little, but I'm sitting out on the balcony because ozone can also cause asthma issues. Grrr.

Think I'm going to drink some more wine and try to deal with it. Maybe if we can have them run the ozonator all day tomorrow, that will help!

Moo, so close to the big day nowl That sucks about your room though.

The boss took us all out to the Hoop tonight for his annual "thank you", paying out of his own pocket, which is very nice. I really didnt want to go, I hate to stay out late and drive in the dark anymore. One of the guys, very muscular guy, got picked to play Davy Crocketts angel, so he came out on stage in a pink tutu with a halo and pink wings and was dancing around and blowing kisses, it was hilarious :rotfl2: We have it on video and Disney gave us a couple of photos, in one of which he has his feet in ballerina pose in his sneakers, it's the funniest thing ever. Per chance, tomorrow is our annual budget appreciation get together for the entire Resorts Finance group, so that will be share for sure!

Anyway, I am stuffed and very tired tonight.

Raining , and raining some more. Soon going to need an arch. :lmao:

Moo-- I hope Mari and David's wedding is beautiful, I had rain on my first wedding day....very few outdoor pictures because of it. But I know your in a tent we were in a hall. I'm sure the day will go by fast for you take it all in and enjoy.

We went to the church bazaar today. Nicholas bid on two football jerseies and won both. People wanted the hockey ones more. Hannah bought a hat for her doll and i bought hubby an apple pie. It was still warm. I hate making pies but he loves them more then cake. Got to socialize that is always fun too.

The wedding was beautiful. We were so thankful it didn't rain - just a bit of mist and rain. Mari and David's friends officiated so the ceremony was very personal and touching. Mari looked beautiful and David looked handsome. Don did a great job with his toast during the reception. All in all, it was a very wonderful day!

And if I do say so myself, the gal who did my hair did a great job :) and my dress was pretty and comfortable. What more could you ask for?! ;)

I only took a couple photos with my phone camera to post on Facebook. Hopefully the photographer's photos will be up on a website soon and I will share the link.

We have a brunch and gift opening today. Hilton Head tomorrow! Hope Sandy is done messing up the weather down here.

Moo-- glad you didn't get the real heavy rain and wild winds. I saw the two pictures you posted. They do make a cute couple. :goodvibes Can't wait to see more pictures.

It has been really raining heavy here and just miserable again today but much colder. If it wasn't for church today I would be staying in.

Poor Halloween looks like it is going to be hit by rain too. Nicholas has two football games this week too. Not looking good weather wise at all.

Wow it is really windy out there. Now I think I know how Marita feels with the hurricane winds. This one is coming in land and is heading towards us over night with wind and rain. Everyone is afraid of losing power if the lines go down or trees go down on them.

Moo-- Hope your out of the bad weather! Saw pictures of NC on the news.

Marita -- saw it is pretty cold your way too. It is cold here too some places more north are going to get snow after the rain.

Not looking forward to Halloween this year if it keeps up. Less kids more candy for me though...:lmao:

It's fine here in Hilton Head, just a little windy. Very chilly and rainy when we left NC this morning, but mid-60s in SC. The drive was fairly long, however, it went smoothly.

We went out for Mexican for dinner and I came back to the villa to relax while the others went to the bar. No regular channels on the TV though. Oh, well! Guess I'll watch the Sandy news or see if there's any shows I can watch on my laptop.

morning..
We made it thru Sandy...it was good winds and humid out there...power went off and on all night and Poor Megara was not a happy doggy...neither was I...I need my beauty sleep...every so often our answering machine would click off and on and then on again and off again...it was annoying...
Yesterday I made meatloaf and corn bread, and potatoes before the storm would hit us...and also apple pie...so we were good to eat anyways...I can always warm stuff up on the top of the stove but not the oven...the new gas stoves protects people from being killed...oh well...top is good enough for me..

Hope you are all safe and know that I was thinking of those in the path of Sandy and still they ..all need our thoughts and prayers this morning..
See ya later

Hello, pics of the wedding, what I saw turned out great.

Lots of wind and rain over here and cities are postponing Halloween til Friday. Not us though.

Exhaustion has set in going to bed early. No school for me tomorrow! I need a day to myself!

Glad to here everyone us safe!

Glad everyone survived the storm fairly well.
We have beatiful 60's sunny weather, thanks to cold air from Canada (thanks, Nab!).
I had tons of fun with first forecast of the year, it's always horrible for some reason, plus I had to train a new person. But I finally finished at 9pm.

Hubby is taking Thursday off so he can answer the door tomorrow night, thank goodness, cause while the kids are cute, I hate getting up every few minutes to open the door. Hubby loves it, so good for both of us!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Marita -- your welcome for the cold air would you like more with rain thoughing in for free?

It is pouring out there right now but hopefully it will get it out of it's system for the kids tonight. I love seeing all the cute little ones. I have enough candy for 125. Usually have more but with this weather and it is a school night it should be enough.

Hannah two friends are coming over so they all can go out together. Hannah is going to be Cinderella , she bought a blonde wig too. She had it on the other day, she does not make a good blonde. :lmao:

Happy Halloween...

We are still having weird weather from SANDY...she made a round a bout trip and visited us some more...well they said it was from the after math of her...Humid still outside...we had rain and thunder showers all night and YOU KNOW THAT we didnt get any sleep at all...megara panted and paced and tried to scratch to get into the other rooms...woke up Scott and then we managed to get her thunder shirt on and she calmed down some...but still was hyperventilating which makes her pass gas.........OH WE ARE SOOOOOOOO BLESSED WITH THAT...

We blame our warm temps to the south..but when we get cold air my daddy always blamed it on his ancesters from canada....we always laughed..

Have a good day everyone...and I am glad that we are all here to chat about it
