Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Hot, hot, hot here in my neck of the woods this weekend! I mostly stayed inside, but went out today for a hair appointment and a bit of shopping.

My DD finally received her engagement ring this weekend - a sapphire set in a bezel (elevated ring) surrounded by a circle of diamonds with diamonds in the band. Very pretty!

Humid here too Moo.

Mari's ring sounds beautiful. I bet your can't wait to see it. Do they have a date?

Oh she has to send you a picture so you can post it here!!!!! All her Disney Aunt's want to drool over it!

Pumba: I have yet to hire a contractor to do anything as they said they would. Hope it gets all done soon. Oh and thanks for your help over there. I gave up after tonight, said my peace as graceful as I could and walked away. I didn't say all the things I really wanted to though because I know I'd get banned for sure. It is like there are a bunch of sharks waiting for someone to expose a vulnerability and they pounce. I should have known better but I just forgot about how mean it can be over there. I never thought I'd get that kind of reaction. I don't feel stupid for asking what I felt at the time was a genuine question worth asking. I regreat that I asked it where I did. I did have a few compassionate posters, but the rest I felt were being mean and cruel on purpose. To tell me that they don't buy the excuse that my son has Asperger's and anxiety was way out of line.

Hot is the word these last two days. But I loved spending time in the pool with the kids and going to the baseball games (all 5 of them) this week. This is what I love.

Tomorrow will be the last full day of school for 3 of my kids. I will cherish every second with Maddy. No bickering, no fighting, no whining, just me and my girl laughing it up. I need to start planning to keep the kids busy this summer, free fun where are you?

Nab: That church service outdoors sounds wonderful! I also love our airconditioned services too!

Did I mention that our church asked me to be the vacation bible school pre-school director this year? I can't remember if I did, sorry. Very excited about this and I have been busy planning.

Looking forward to a great week with cooler temps.

morning everyone..
The sun "isnt" out yet...maybe it will and then again its Maine ..so it probably wont...hahaha..
I went thru two boxes of JUNK and threw out a great deal and kept to much..but will continue on today...I have to do this ...because we need the closets for real stuff...and then start on the garage JUNK..
Hubby and I are planning the "gathering" again this summer...we skipped last summer because we were in the process of moving here...and stuff was at both houses...so already have a good amount of people saying yes to the August 4th date...this would make my MIL so happy...I did it first for her and then just kept on doing it...because it is sad to only see relatives at weddings and funerals...So a lot of planning between now and then...(plus getting rid of STUFF)...hahaha

I am ALSO anxious to see "THE RING"...makes me do a big SIGH...sounds beautiful already...

Hope you all have a great day and just know we have each others backs..

It is going to be a hot one today! I am sweating in an airconditioned house cleaning too. Took me a long time to clean the kids bathroom this morning. That is were the litter box is too. Didn't know it was the cat or the kids the smell coming from there. :lmao:Why can't boys aim better?

Have some dusting to do on the main floor and wash my hall and kitchen floor. The question is will I get it done. Suppose to rain tonight and tomorrow so maybe I should hold off on washing the floor. Sounds like a good excuse to me....

Hannah has her play tonight and tomorrow. It seems like she has been practicing forever. Hope she doesn't freeze in front of a crowd. She only has one line and then sings and dances with a group. I am proud that she is actually doing this. As shy as she usually is I was surprised when she tried out.

Hannah also counted the days left of school not counting today or weekends, since you don't go on weekends she points out. They have 13 days left. That is not many this school year went by fast.

I'll have to see if I can figure out how to post the ring photo here. I got it via text so I have to see if I can save it somehow!

Looks like we are making a countdown calendar, Maddy keeps bringing me stuff to pack. This morning her pillows and favorite books. I told her she needs these to sleep on but she says she will sleep in the car!:rotfl:

This is going to be so much fun with her, she is old enough to be excited and has very little recall of past tirps. This is technically her "first" trip.

:rotfl:

So am I crazy? This is what I am thinking we are going to do:

Leave at midnight on 8/5, let the kids just stay up all night until we are ready to leave. Hopefully after the first hour they will just pass out and I can put a good 5 more hours of driving behind us before the "are we there yet" and "I have to go potty" starts. Then we can stop and get a nice relaxing breakfast in and even a walk around for like 30-45 minutes. I have to see where that puts us and understand it will be like 7 in the morning at this point hopefuuly there is a grassy area we can through a ball around or something, I'd settled to walk around a Wal-mart even. Then do the rest of our drivng to get to Bryon GA. Tim has points on one of his travels accounts and we can get two rooms at a Best Western for free. I'd like to be done driving by 4pm.

I think this will put us in Byron, GA and I really want as many miles behind us on the first day.

Because the second day still has a good 8 more hours to go!

Kroger fuel is giving 4X's the fuel points on gift card purchases including disney gift cards. And you can use up to 2,000 points per purchas on fuel, thats 2.00 off a gallon up to 35 gallons. Expires June 17.

Mony -- when we were kids we used to sleep most of the day traveling then couldn't figure out why we had to stop at night because we weren't tired but my parents were. :lmao: Luckly we have good kids in the car, we do alot of driving in the car. Movies, ipods, colouring pages, paper dolls or they just plain sleep. Oh almost forgot the DS's don't leave home without them.

Went and seen Hannah's play again tonight. They were really good tonight. Last night some lines were forgotten and lighting was off but the kids did really well. Hannah got her line both nights so she was happy. She growing up and coming out of her shyness.

Suppose to be a ballgame right now but it got cancelled do to the heavy rain we got this morning. The field got flooded and around the plates. So they are doing a practice at the batting cages instead.

Finally figured out how to save the pic of Mari's engagement ring! The center stone is a sapphire.

I'm so sorry, I have been terribly amiss posting here, my busy time of the year.

Moo, love the ring, beautiful!!!

Mony, yikes, that sound like a a lot of driving, I dont know if I could do that anymore, hope it all works out for you. Happy to see you posting on theTR's again:thumbsup2

I had some good and some bad news today about health stuff:

First bad:
My stress test and heart sonogram will cost $961 after insurance  I have a feeling nothing is really wrong, but hubby says better be sure.

Good:
Got my lab tests today, everything is now in the normal range vs. 3 months ago

So Thurday I go for my stress test and heart sonogram, cant eat or drink anything from 9:30 till 1:30. This will kill me, not the eating, but no water even!!! So Im thinking I will just set the alarm for 10 or 10:30 and sleep in to lessen the pain (and I know I can easily sleep that late)

I'll try to be better with posting here, sorry

Moo-- Love the ring! Very pretty and different.

Marita-- They give you stress by just the cost of the test. Hope everything turns out well. I do take for granted our health system, this reminds that we don't have it so bad.

Cooled down over night , air is off and windows are open. Great for sleeping last night.

Hubby is off for the rest of the week so I am guessing I will get nothing done around the house now. Not sure what we will do. His dad was here last night so we had a nice visit with him and he got to see Hannah's play and Nicholas bat in the cages.

Arguing with my daughter, who is 7, for the first time on what she is wearing to school, and on the last day of school. SOS!

She is not happy, I had to use the line, I will take you school naked if you don't change out of that. It worked....:rolleyes2

Moo: So pretty and different, I like different. It has an antique look to it with elegance. Love it! Congrats to Mari!

BG: The stress test is a piece of cake, the bill, not so much. I don't thing Tim's MRI's cost that much out of pocket. I just watched a piece on the news about the importance of Stree Tests but the bottom line they are costly.

It's fun to be back interacting with everyone! I can't believe I have a chance to meet up with Nebo and Smidgy this trip. We should all try!

Happy Last day of school, I went to Meijer yesterday and purchased sidewalk chalk, bubbles, new toys for the pool like goggles, masks, rings and soakers for some summertime fun. I have a pass for the metro parks on my car so that we can go and use their splash pad and they boys can pay 3 bucks to swim and use the big slide. My first summer not working, lets see how this goes, I may have to find an evening job to help us along though.

Woke up to a chilly morning, wow what a temp jump! Have a great day!

Its MONSOONING again....but only says for today and back to normal temps and sunshine.......HOPE IT COMES FAST...

The ring is just gorgeous ...I love it too...happiness to the soon to be bride...

Okey ...carpet was installed yesterday......and I dont want to talk about it ...:scared: Waiting for the phone call from home depot expediters.....I am not a happy person...but I dont care anymore...I will not get upset ...or ugly or have my BP go sky high......nope...its an issue and they can come here and take care of it...sigh...

SO what else is new....hehehehe..

Guess I will go and take my shower and get some WARM clothes on...cause I am a bit chilled right now...

have a good day everyone

Well, the stress test is cancelled for now, insurance denied it and dr. vetoed, so they are doing a review, but not in time for tomorrow. Kind of glad about that, im not sure anything is wrong (for $1,000), but we shall see how it goes.

Mony, if you make plans to meet with Nebo and Smidgy, let me know when and where and I'll see if I can make it.
Glad you finally have the summer off:cool1:

Pumba, YIKES, hope it all turns out ok

Pumba we had that monsooning a few nights ago crazy lightning and thunder always adds a few extra kids to our bed.

Headed to my moms to finish her yard work. Taking all the kids with me.

Yes they are all home now, must keep them busy.

Enjoy your day!

My goodness we had such a beautiful weather day. We took the kids to a water park after school and stayed to closing. I can handle this kind of weather but the temps are suppose to be rising this weekend.

We have nothing really planned for Father's day either. Nicholas is doing a First Aid course all weekend. He applied for a life guard job and you need this so he thought he would get it now and see if he could get the job. He would have to tell them he was going away for the cruise not sure how will that will go. But it doesn't hurt to have this course anyway even if he doesn't get the job.

Mony-- Our kids don't get out until June 28th here and go back after Labour day. Nicholas is done the 26th , that would be his last exam day.

This month is flying by....hope summer doesn't go by this fast.

morning..
The carpet has been reseamed and is doing good..hahaha...It looks okey now and I said i would not stress...
The vinyl had a little air pocket type bubble and that is gone too...
SO Hurray...

Megara is upstairs yelling her head off....hubby is outside doing something...and I am finishing my coffee of the morning..

The weather yesterday and this weekend is just perfect...now if we could just get the pool to be crystal clear...this has been a lot of hard work (and moola)...because it was so green when the cover came off...this has not been a manageable pool since two years ago so ....maybe three..no one is sure of the exact blue pool photo...but it is not green...just cloudy...we can see the steps and the sides of the pool...so one giant step at a time..
Hope you all have a great day..

my daughter teaches at a behavioral school and these two towns also closed on this past Monday...of course my daughter only has off until July 5th and the kids go back for five weeks and then they have two weeks off before regular school starts...so onto better and brighter summers

Back to hot and steamy again. We have a graduation party to attend today. This is a cousin's son on Dh's side of the family, should be nice to visit with them again.

Took advantage of the Kroger gift card 4X fuel point offer, got our Disney Cards to use in the parks, a few for my nephews to use on their Alaskan Disney Cruise, some as gifts for the graduates, Barnes and Nobel and one to Bass Pro Shop, some Mc Donalds to use on the drive down and one to Cracker Barrel. Scored over 2300 points to use towards gas in July! I know they do this just before Christmas, will definitely to that again.

Plus I have a free $50.00 gift card coming for Rain Forrest Cafe through My Points.

Have a great day!

Not doing much today. Decided to eat at home since the restaruants will be crazy. Got a roast in the oven. So we are enjoying a lazy day at home.

Nicholas is doing a First Aid course this weekend so he has been gone most of the weekend. It is two whole days. He needs this course if he wants to apply at the communtiy centre to just run the slide there. The part of this course he can not take until he is 16 to become a full life guard.

Hope you are all having a great day! My dad has been gone 17 years in Sept. but I still miss him and wish my kids would have got to know him.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD!

AND TO ALL THE DAD'S OUT THERE!

Started to rain over here, very dark, hoping to get a chance to grill the ribs and steak I am marinating for Father's day.

Nab, I understand. My dad has been gone almost 15 years this September. My oldest was 10 months when he passed. He has 6 grand children who never got to know him. I know he sees them and is proud, but they missed out on knowing an incredible man. I'm sure my sister's kids could have used his guidance since their biological dad is a mess!

The plaining we are doing for our trip is insane! Details will follow as they are confirmed! (insert little child's giggle here)
