Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Pumba - I'm happy to hear your flooring situation is OK now!

We went out to lunch at a Chinese buffet place with my FIL, his wife, and my BIL's family. It was nice to get together.

I had already taken Don out for dinner earlier in the week.

I went out and did some shopping yesterday and found some cute black sandals that I think will work with the purple dress I got to wear to Mari's wedding. They didn't have my size in black, but I tried them in my size in another color and they're shipping them to me. I should be able to wear them to work a bit this summer to make sure they're comfortable.

Mony - Yay for trip planning fun!!!

I miss my daddy too...he died 1980. ---32 years...YIKES...I just figured that out...how time flies and it seems like yesterday that we were with him...
hubbies dad passed away when he was 13, his brother was 8 and his youngest brother was 4...His mom did an unbelievable job raising three boys to be such fine men.......I always told her that too...I miss her too...geesh...

yesterday our son and his wife and two rug rats came and brought dinner..corn on the cob that our son cooked on the grill still in the husk...and then they had scallops and shrimp on sticks that they grilled too and then t bone steaks and sirloin tips...it was a feast for fathers day ...they are pretty awesome kids...had a great day ..they are doing the other side today...

today our daughter is coming over...we just went shopping for more pool chemicals .(yah)...and the vinyl stuff that goes around the trim inside windows...that way we dont ever have to paint it...and it isnt wood...so more of that and then to the grocery store for burger that they didnt have the other day...people jumped on the burger wagon and sold out..

hope you and your families are all good and have a good Fathers day to all

Holy cow, it was HOT here today!!! Our AC is working overtime!

Hope the heat is not heading your way. I was kind of glad to be at work today.

Is anyone going to see "Brave"?

Hot here too Moo, we are having a heat wave for the last few days. By Friday they say it will be below seasonal weather. Here we go again with the rollercoaster weather.

I try to stay in the house in this kind of weather , remember when I did work in a factory we could go home when it reached 32C. Of course there I worked on a hot machine that moulded plug ends on cords and it was hot. You didn't get paid for this time so I stayed a few times , had to pay the rent. It was ok a lot went home so they set up there fans around you , everyone had one. Gave you lots of breaks with water and popcicles. Fridays you always wished it would be to hot though :rotfl:

Going to the school today for the last mass of the year. Good thing the school has air, we never did when we were kids. Remember sitting under a tree outside doing school work.

Stay Cool everyone!

Marita probably thinks we are wimps with the hot weather.....:lmao:

Loving the hot weather! Spending it in the pool with my girls. It just enough for them to splash around in and enough for me to sit in up to my neck and get cool. Then I try to get some gardening and weed pulling done. Then jump back in. LOL.

Yesterday my car said 100*. Just getting us ready for Disney in August.

Stay cool my friends, the cold front is 2 days away.

Mony--way to hot to weed and garden stay in the pool.

Suppose to cool down a bit tomorrow, hope so. Just a bit would be good. I won't complain about warm sunny weather.

The kids are really ready to get out of school. I was there yesterday and going back to Hannah's school again today for a book party thing. They wrote their own childrens story with pictures biography etc. A children's author has been coming into there class every Tuesday to help them. Good excuse to have cake and a party at the end.

Between Confirmation, Grade 8 graduation and birthdays this month it is crazy. It is digging into my spending money for holidays....Hubby has been working a lot of overtime to pay for the cruise and maybe a day or two after at WDW. Haven't worked everything out yet.

Asked my FIL if he would like to go away for the weekend and take the trailer but he didn't want too. Thought it would get him out of the house. Good thing he has good neighbours he visits or we would be more worried about him.

Pumba-- How is the pool coming along? Glad your floor issues are solved. Now you need to sit and relax enjoy the summer.

pool...we decided to vacumm the pool and have it go discharge into the back yard...it is working and we can see the bottom of the pool...YIPPEE...I went in anyways yesterday...I could of done more housework with the AC on but heck...Pool is so much better...

FLOOR...hmmm...well...another story but it makes me UPSET to think about it..Monday the manager of the local HOME DEPOT is coming to over see the fix up that they MESSED UP...I have three bubbles on the vinyl area...none horrible but just the same...and the rug...we can see the seams...we shouldnt have to see the seams...this was high end carpet..and I love it...but not that seam and the two seams in the hallway...which was only going to be one seam...I told the people at Home depot ...I was so done with it...and I didnt care any more...and NO I WAS NOT HAPPY...she said...we will take this ourselves and figure it out...they have been good...but ACS and the installers that ACS hires...stink...

SOOOOOo hot again today and tomorrow and then more seasonal temps...yesterday we had one humdinger of a thunder storm..winds and trees down...the temp went down but it was still muggy...we went out for supper after MEGARA calmed down...

have a good day my friends

Pumba, glad they are working with you. I have learned in so many situations that customer service is a lost art.

My freezer is not working right. Thankfully I have a backup in the basement. I called Monday to get a June 28th date for someone to come look at it.

If I didn't have the back up I would have put up a major fuss. But I tried to just go with it since Sears totally messed up when my 13 day old dishwasher died. Long and upsetting story to tell. Took a month to get a new one in my home.

Crazy day: Double header baseball game, squeeze mal into the dentist for tooth pain *see needs to get a baby molar pulled due to adult molar causing issues and a spacer for when the new one comes in, like in 2 years! Stranded Tim at baseball, went back to give him his keys, then a graduation party.

Tomorrow: church, bday party and dress rehersal for dance.

Monday starts vacation bible school week, wish me luck!

Well it is a sunny Sunday. Not to hot yet.

Went to my mom's yesterday. The kids hadn't see in he a couple months so they really wanted to go. Had a nice visit but must say I hate highway traffic and summer traffic is worse.

Going to go to the show after church today. The AMC theaters here are being sold and they said they would not take any coupons or passes once it is sold. We have like 10 passes we got discounted at hubby's work so now we have to work at using them up before that , not happy about that at all.

Mony--glad you have a back up for your freeze that would be a mess or a heck of a lot of food to eat.

Our baseball games are usually only once or twice a week. Only have double headers if we are trying to catch up on rain dates. That must be hard on the kids in the heat.

Pumba-- the kids would so love a pool but we don't have the backyard for it. The neighbours have an above ground one so they get to use that one once in awhile so that is nice.

Got to get these people moving or we will be late for church.....

Have a great Sunday!

Sounds like a busy weekend for everyone!

Don's dad was on a trip yesterday so he asked if I was interested in doing something. I had been talking with my fried Debbie (the one I'd had the falling out with a while back, but we have been friendly at work lately) about seeing the Titanic exhibit at The Henry Ford, so I suggested going there if Debbie was free. So I called her and she wanted to join us (which was a small miracle because she hardly ever has wanted to go anywhere since she started having problems with dizziness/seizures) but she wanted to go, so we went!

It was a good trip and we went through the new automobile exhibit that was under construction last time we went. We also did some outlet mall shopping and saw a bunch of hot air balloons in the sky near the mall -- there was a balloon festival going on. So that was a nice surprise! We stopped for dinner before heading home. It was a fun but tiring day. I slept in pretty late and had to take some extra pain medication but am feeling pretty good now. My knee did MUCH better with the walking than when we went to the museum after Thanksgiving.

Just busy with the end of the school year stuff. Today is Hannah's last day. :woohoo: I can sleep in tomorrow.

Moo-- I have seen the Titanic exhibit before once when we just got married and it came to our town and have also seen the one in Halifax that one is a big one.

We have a long week this weekend but Hubby is working night shift. My Mom's side of the family is having a family reunion on the Sunday but don't think I will go. Really want to but wouldn't look foward to the almost 4 hour drive on a long weekend. Traffic would be terrible.

The heat is suppose to turn back up again today, I was enjoying these pleasant days we been having with the windows open.

my families reunion is this weekend too ...In CT. a four and a half hour drive from here...and because I dont want hubby to aggravate his back anymore...I opted out of going..(besides ..hotter then a firecracker on Friday and Saturday)...so we are not going...
GOT busy on hubbies side of the family "gathering" that I love to do for his mom (she said she loved family gatherings and I am doing it for her even though she passed away five years ago)...I am glad that I am doing it ..otherwise we only see people at Funerals...this is so much better...and this time we have a big enough place if it rains...and a great pool outside with decks and canopys if it is hot...I am so ready ...

You did not kill the thread....we have been right out straight this week with stuff doing...hope that you all have a great week and see ya later moovers

OMG, I can't believe how hot it was here today - hotter than Orlando!!! I was happy to be at work because it was so difficult to cool our house down. After work, I did a bit of shopping at the mall after work to stay cool. Not much luck even though there were tons of sales. I was looking for a couple cooler tops since I typically wear a short-sleeved lightweight sweater with a cami underneath in the office.

I may have to go shopping further afield this weekend!

Yes Moo we are having a mini heat wave again this weekend. Funny the weatherman said it was going to be a dry comfortable summer , this is our second heat alert and it is only June.

Went to pick a few things up at the grocery store this afternoon , bad idea all the people going away for the weekend are there ....carts loaded with marshmellows , chips and soda dont' see much real food. I needed something for lunches at home. My kids are not sandwich people. I do make them eat them when we are traveling in the trailer and at school though. Home I just bought them something they can microwave and make themselves when at home.

Hannah has a friend over today to entertain her and Nicholas, I haven't seen him come out of his room. He is on his xbox and computer.

Planning on not doing much this long weekend. Maybe go see the fireworks at the community centre on Sunday.

hot hot hot already...I can feel the humidity...going to enjoy the pool ...last night we went to eat at the Chinese buffet and a storm went thru ...sideways rain and winds...Our poor dog was home alone and she tore down one of the blinds in the guest room...tried to hide in our closet ..pulled things out trying to get away from it...we felt so bad...we have to figure out what to do when we arent home...especially this storm that went thru fast...maybe lasted five or so minutes but she didnt calm down for three hours...
Kohls had a great sale on tops and stuff...do you have one of those stores near you.??

Hope that you all have a great weekend and see ya later gators..

Hot here too, running the air in June is killing me!

Vacation bible school is over, I think the pre-school program was a success!
I have something I feel is really great to add to my portfolio and use during my interview before I graduate.

Trying to catch up cleaning, my house is a wreck after being so busy last week.

36 more days until we leave for disney!:yay::cheer2::woohoo:

Moo Nab: Did you read about the winds Ohio got, 91 miles per hour, that storm went south of us, sounds scary!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!
Canada is 145 years old today.

Going to church, then festivities at the town museum in the afternoo and the fireworks tonight at the community center. That should keep the kids busy for the day. A sunny hot day too so not sure if we will last the whole day out.

Since Canada falls on a Sunday , some stuff is closed tomorrow for a true long weekend. :woohoo:

Happy Canada Day to you and to all..

I often wonder if there are more relatives that are still in Canada...our family reunion from the off spring of the Lavallee's...was yesterday and I will be anxious to hear the news of it...We stayed because of hubbies back...
Another hot one and we are just finishing up cleaning up and then outside I go...will finish a good book..(no not that one)...HEHEHEHE...but another one on the kindle..

Hope you all have a great day and be safe this holiday week

Happy Canada Day, Nabbie!

Pumba, have you tried using a Thundershirt to calm Megara? It works fairly well on Jasper and my daughter's dog, Cash. Our dog Sukie doesn't get nerves up like Jasper when there's a storm.

Mony, no I didn't read about those high winds in Ohio, but I sure am ready for some cooler weather!!!

We're going to my BIL's this afternoon for my FIL's birthday party. I made strawberry shortcake to take :)
