Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Nab, I am so sorry! Just read your post today. These are hard times but I am sure your mom is in a good place now and that she was very happy to have her with you this whole time.

Thanks Marita and Moo.

I am finally home and trying to get back to normal things. My house looks like a bomb hit it. It looks like a bachelor lived here. :lmao: Know what I will be doing all weekend. Not to mention my poor flowerbeds outside, the thistles are taking over everywhere.

Martia-- saw you hubby retired, was that planned? What is he doing in his retirement. Must be hard for him to adjust his sleeping , didn't he work during the night?

Also saw your new car. Nice can't tell what kind it is though. My car is a 2005 and is looking tired.

Moo-- How relatives that were sick. Ok I hope. I have been seeing you post on FB you look like your having a good summer.

The weather this summer has been really weird. Very, very windy everyday and cool at night. Only maybe had one really warm week so far and that was in June.

Nab, glad you you are finally home, must feel good. I can just imagine your house, LOL.

Hubby has been planning his retirement for about a year. He is 67 now, so it's time. He is planning on doing some travelling to museums and the lake he grew up at. He is slowly adjusting his sleeping pattern, not sleeping well at night without the sleeping pills he used to take.
My new car is a Honda Civic, and I love it.

Hope you get the house back in shape soon, but take it easy.

Nabbie, glad to hear you're back home. Just take things slow! Grief is a sneaky thing, as I'm sure you know, so just plan on getting through one day at a time for a while  My aunt who had the bypass surgery is at a rehab center still, I think. We're not very close any more :( And we had my uncle's memorial service last Saturday, a month after his passing. It was great to see my cousins. It had been a while since I'd seen some of them...

We have a LOT of summer birthdays in my family, so we've had some really nice meals out :) We have another on Monday night! My youngest sister and I went "up north" in early July and had a nice time going wine tasting for a couple days. The weather has been great lately, but we have a bumper crop of mosquitoes, so I haven't spent a lot of time outside. However, we did recently replace the water in our hot tub and I got it balanced so my skin can finally tolerate it again!!!

My favorite series of books has been made into a new cable TV series on Starz called Outlander. Check it out if you get the chance ;) It starts later in Canada than in the US.

I really just want to scream or I don't know what.....I'm so antsy and want to do a lot of stuff but can't seem to get things done.

Now I get another blow this morning. My Uncle, ( My mom's brother) had a massive stoke, it doesn't look good. They found him on his front porch and don't know how long he was there. :sad1: He lost his wife in Dec. As well as his sister having an accident on the way to the funeral. Then my mom. I can not believe this is all happening in the last 8 months.

I may lose my mind. Nothing is normal for me anymore. I was hoping the kids going back to school soon would get me on track but this is knocked me off again.

I'm sure a downer this summer so sorry....but again I ask for prayers.

Prayers sent, Nabbie :( So sorry to hear this. I was getting worried that we hadn't heard from you in so long. You might want to consider talking with a counselor and maybe seeing if some mild meds would help. I found both helpful when I was younger and experienced the loss of three family members over the course of a little over a year.

Sending a big hug as well

Nab, im so sorry to hear that. Prayers sent. I think Moo is right, try to get some help. Hoping you feel better soon.

Hey all! Doing sewing research, so while I was here I decided to pop in. I hope you are all doing well. Prayers and hugs to Nab!

Hi Cel,
Wow, good to see you. You hardly ever post on FB anymore, are you OK?
Miss you!

Just checking in. Miss you, Nabbie and hope you're doing OK  Any trips planned to my neck of the woods this fall? If so, hope we can get together.

Moo and Nabs, I saw the post over yonder about the mini meet. That place is only like an hour ish drive for me. Next time let me know!

Reading some of Nebo's nonsense. Thought I'd look you all up again as well.

Mony that would have been great to meet you . Moo was right I only told her we would be in the area Friday and didn't think she would be able to make it. Didn't want to be home for Thanksgiving this year so we decided to go away.

Didn't take any detours this time Moo so we got home when we expected too. Still don't know who we managed to get way over by Costco. :rotfl:

Kids are back to school and Joe back to work tomorrow after the long weekend.

Definitely have to do it again. Thanks again so much for spending time with me, it meant a lot.

It's ok guys, just know for next time I'd love to meet up. Who's going to Disney? I have to live it through you all for a while. Money is tight and student loans stink big time!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I know Nabbie celebrated Canada's Thanksgiving last month, and I was lucky enough to get to see her and her family!!!

My daughter and son-in-law are visiting for the holiday weekend :). We're having a low-key day Thursday with just the four of us and a full family dinner on Friday :jumping1:

happy thanksgiving my friends!

hope your have a great one with faily and friends!

Moo-- that is great the Mari and David are there. It was great spending mine with you last month.

Marita--Is your whole family with you this year? Was pleasantly surprised that your daughter was getting married and you were shopping for wedding dresses with her. Saw your post.

Normal day for me here . Getting the kids and husband off to work. Cold but no snow yet which is fine with me . I am seeing all the snow they are getting to the east of us no thanks.

Hi Nab,

It's just hubby and me today. My son is coming home for xmas though.
Quiet day here, im making a roast chicken and some fixings.

The wedding is not till December '15, so we have a ways to go.

Happy Thanksgiving! Ours is over but all left well fed. I made a turkey, ham, stuffing, sweet potato soufflé, mashed and onion potatoes, pierogis, green bean casserole, and a variety of pies.

My sister is on her way to Fort Meyers with her sons. Wish I was going with her.

Christmas is coming very fast this year. Probably because I don't want it to come.

We are all lost this year , mom's house is still sitting there and my siblings want to have one more Christmas there. I think it may be a big mistake but I do want to see all my family together.

My brother has his good and bad days health wise. He wants to do Christmas Eve had his house after this year but wants that one last time at Mom's.

I haven't been there since some of the furniture is sold plus no Christmas lights might send me over the edge. She was know on her street for her lights. My mom could have gone on one of those shows with all the lights. :lmao:

Maybe our trip will cheer me up. :cool1: Who wouldn't want to be on a cruise ship on New Year's Eve.

Oh and I hide hubby's Christmas present and can't for the life of me remember where.....I'm getting old.

Nab, I'm sorry you are in the dumps, but who could blame you. You just have to get through it and put on a happy smile thinking of you mom, she would not want you to be sad for Christmas.

And cruise, YAY!

I got your card, thanks a lot. The kids are getting so big, and especially Nicholas looks like a handsome some man now!

Hang in there, things will get better!!
